Thursday 7th April

In the Premier Division Brandon Bay Horse Lost 2-1 at Hetton Lyons Cricket Club. Pelton Roab entertained Washington Jkrs, Pelton produced a Very good performance against a tidy side Pelton looking to move into 2nd Place in the premier Division were patient and professional and claimed a well deserved 3 pts. Winning 2-0, Paul Freeman fired home from close range with a superb headed goal, following a corner from Craig Marron.A well delivered cross from Craig Marron was converted by Carl Ritchie. A first-class finish with the right foot from 18 yards out.
In the First Division Chester Osborne wmc were 3-0 Home winners Over Barley Mow Inn. Washington Arms and The Biddick Inn shared the Points in a 1-1 draw. Houghton Mill All Stars crashed to a 7-1 Home Defeat by visitors Houghton Comrades. Steelers FC took all 3 points in this end of season local derby clash against Ushaw Moor Cricket Club. League positions can mean nothing in these games and it proved to be about right although the home side did look slightly stronger overall. Chris Welch was MOM for the home side with Scott Natrass receiving the same for the opposition despite conceding an 89th minute penalty that Jamie Clifford scored to take his tally to 16 for the season. Steven Muse got his first for the club to open the scoring up in the 74 minute.
In the Second Division Lumley FC traveled to Durham Bede Lodge, Lumley Fc started well and took the lead with half hour gone. Jonathon Kelly equalized with a precision strike for Bede Lodge. Lumley then increased their lead to 3 - 1 early in the second half. Further goals from Mark McKenzie and Chris Vaughan saw Bede draw level again before Duncan Turnbull won the game for Bede with a last minute penalty.Waterhouses fc were 1-0 winners at Sherburn Lambton Arms.
In the Fourth Division Chester Cricket Club entertained the Salutation, The Cricketers took the lead from a whipped in cross which the centre back finished from 5 yards, a second soon followed before the salutation pulled on back with a towering header from Mark Hughes which found it's way in the net via the defender on the line and the crossbar. The Salutation should have come back in to the game, and spurned a host of chances, before the cricket club made it 3 -1 with another well taken effort from close range.Ferryhill Dynamos were beaten 2-1 at Dubmire Wmc,Ferryhill Post Boy were 2-0 winners over visitors Durham Garden House Fc.New Brancepeth Wmc won 3-1 at Kelloe Davy Lamp.
