Stepys Coaches Presidents Trophy
Cup Final
26th April 2013
DURHAM COUNTY SENIORS 1 v 0 PELAW GRANGE DOGS
Two
teams making their first appearances in a Durham Sunday League cup final
battled it out for seventy five minutes to break the deadlock. The breakthrough
came out of the blue when Durham County Seniors winger Mark Hughes found
himself with space and time to spare just inside his opponents half, with the
Pelaw keeper well off his line Mark launched a forty five yard lob over the
stranded keeper to score the only goal of the game. Pelaw Grange Dogs had
dominated the game to that point and Durham had keeper and man of the match
David Flowers to thank for keeping them in the game with a succession of fine
saves during the first half.
