The rise in dominance of Kelloe Wmc is further endorsed with a 3-1 Ramside Hall Cup Winners cup final win over close rivals Hetton Lyons CC. Kelloe pressed from the start and almost took the lead after eight minutes with a spectacular Gavin Barton overhead kick that’s just off target. Two minutes later he fairs a lot better with a powerful header to make it one nil. Hetton respond well and have their best spell of the game, a great Keith Graydon pass finds Stephen Capper free in the box but his goal bound effort is cleared off the line. On the twenty five minute mark Hetton create their best effort, Kallum Grifffiths powerful run sets up Christopher Bell whose shot whistles past the wrong side of the post. Kellloe rock Hetton again with another headed goal eight minutes before the half time break, man of the match Ian Ward finishing off a wonderful David Duke cross. Hetton introduce veteran Jason Ainsley for the second half and five minutes after the restart get a lifeline back into the game with a fortunate penalty, Keith Graydon hammers the spot kick home to make it 2-1. However Kelloe are in no mode to surrender their advantage and comfortable repel Hettons advances. With time running out Hetton gamble pushing men forward in search of an equaliser but to no avail, Kelloe finally kill the game off with a Keirn Megran effort in the eighty third minute to make the final score 3-1.
