Mill Had Most Of The First Half Possession But Conceded On Forty Minutes To Go In Level At The Half Time Break. Rainton Started The Second Half Much The Brighter Side And Went 2-1 Up After Fifty Minutes. Mill Forwards Shaun Corner And Nick Thompson Proved A Handful For The Rainton Defense Throughout And Thompson Was Unlucky Not To Equalize On The Hour Mark Crashing A Shot Off The Cross Bar. Sacriston Started The 2nd Half Much Better As Burnside Seemed To Sit Back. They Pulled The 1st Back After Some Great Play Down The Left, Debutant Lane Found Himself Unmarked 6 Yards Out And Poked Home, This Rallied The Home Side And The 2nd Followed Soon After, Again Nicholson's Speed Down The Wing Proved The Key Factor And Lane Was In The Right Place Again To Get His 2nd. The 3rd Came After A Needless Foul On The Edge Of The Burnside Box; Asquith Then Curled A High Shot Over The Keeper's Head Into The Top Corner. Sedgefield Net Park2 V 3 Chester Plough Inn
Chester Plough Inn Made The Long Trip To Sedgefield Net Park And Came Home With All 3 Points.
The Home Side Had All The Early Pressure With Graham Unsworth Making A Couple Of Fine Saves To Keep The Plough In The Game. Sedgefield Had Three Goals Correctly Disallowed Before Taking The Lead After 30 Mins When The Tall Striker Headed In From Close Range.
The Plough Inn Got An Equalizer Through A Daniel Hill Penalty After Duddin Fouled Gavin Prudhoe In The Box. Minutes Later And Shortly Before Half Time, A Mix Up Between Unsworth And Prudhoe Resulted In A Sedgefield Penalty And The Home Player Made No Mistake From The Spot.In The Second Half And With The Slope The Plough Had A Lot More Possession But Struggled To Break Down The Home Defense. With Just Over Twenty Minutes To Go The Plough Got A Deserved Equalizer When Ben Lloyd Took Advantage Of A Poor Headed Clearance By Duddin And Smashed The Ball Into The Roof Of The Net Past Shepherd.
Sedgefield Had Further Chances To Win The Game But Failed To Work Unsworth In The Away Goal. The Home Side Had The Perfect Opportunity To Take The Lead Again When They Were Awarded A Penalty But Unsworth Made A Great Save From Peter Sedgwick.
The Game Was Won In The Final Minute Following A Great Move The Plough Involving Joel Baddams And Ben Lloyd Who Released Daniel Hill Who Then Rounded The Keeper Before Being Taken Down But The Referee Waved Play On For Chris Cuthbertson To Finish Well. A Good Competitive Game Saw Netpark Take The Lead After 30 Mins Through Ryan Tinkler. The Lead Was Increased To 2-0 With A Penalty By Chris Barber. Washington Ox & Plough 0 V 3 Pity Me Lambton Hounds
This Was A Good, Well Deserved First Win Of The Season For The Lambton Hounds. For The Majority Of The Game The Away Side Was On The Front Foot, Their Wingers Constantly Getting In Behind The Full Backs With A Combination Of Skill And Pace. The Home Side’s Defense Looked Shaky, And The Odd Time They Did Get Through On Goal, They Couldn’t Find A Way Past Lambton Hounds New Goalkeeper Who Was Making His Debut. By Half Time It Was 2-0 To The Away Side After A Headed Goal And What Could Have Possibly Gone Down As An Own Goal. Both These Goals Were Scored By Gary Taylor. The Second Half Was A Bit More Even, With The Home Side Taking Advantage Of The Slight Downhill Slope In Their Favor. They Had More Chances Than In The First, But A Combination Of Great Goalkeeping By The Debutant And The Penalty Area Being Very Wet And Muddy Thwarted Most Of Their Attacks. Throughout This The Lambton Hounds Were Still Having Success, And Reward Came Again For Gary Taylor From The Penalty Spot After A Handball. The Penalty Initially Was Well Saved By The Home Keeper, But The Ball Just Bounced Straight Back For Taylor To Tap It In For His Hat Trick.

Honest Boy Won 4-1 Against Kelloe Davy Lamp. Went Down 0-1 After 10 Seconds But Pulled Back With An Own Goal, A Goal By Jamie Wood And 2 Goals From Lee Simpson
Quarrington Hill WMC FC 1 V 4 Durham County Seniors FC
Durham County Have Been Somewhat Disappointing In Recent Weeks, So Much So That Questions Were Asked After Last Week’s 1-1 Draw, But The Response From The Players When It Came Was Decisive, Three First Half Goals Without Reply Left Quarrington Hill On The Roped. First Brian Gillespie Thumped Home A Deflected Free Kick, Leading Scorer Mark Hughes Then Provided The Perfect Finish To A Flowing Move Firing Into The Bottom Corner, He Then Grabbed Another Before The Break With A Curling Shot After A Mazy Run. The Icing On The Cake Was Hughes Hat-Trick When He Converted Lee Walkers Low Cross With A First Time Finish, Prior To That Quarrington Hill Hit The Post With A Deep Cross And David Flowers Saved Well From Chris Taylor, But They Were Rewarded With A Well Worked Goal, Luke Tinkler Provided A Delightfully Lifted Through Ball Which Caught Durham Napping But This Proved To Be Nothing More Than A Consolation For The Home Side. It Could Have Been Worse For Quarrington Hill With The Referee Disallowing Durham Two Goals And A Fine Individual Display By Jordan Nicholson In The Home Goal. Game Where Q Hill Matched County For 30 Minutes But 3 Goals In 15 Mins Gave County A 0-3 Lead. Second Half Was Again Well Contested And When Chris Winter Scored For The Q's It Looked Like A Comeback Might Be On, But A 4th Goal For County 10 Mins From Time Secured The Win.
Washington New Tavern 3 V 0 High Shincliffe Avenue
Washington Tavern Took An Early Lead Through James Leonard Who Reacted To Clearance From The High Shincliffe Defense. The Tavern Then Doubled Their Lead On 25 Minutes When Andrew Patterson Got On The End Of A Quality Delivery From Mark Wallis. The Tavern Took Their 2 Goal Lead Into The Second Half And Made It 3-0 On 60 Minutes. Shincliffe Were Unlucky Not To Score But Were Hampered By Some Excellent Goal Keeping From Tavern Keeper Alan Newbrook. Craig Neal Picked Up A Deserved Man Of The Match With Another Quality Team Performance. Well Fought Tie Between The Two Division 4 Sides On A Wet And Slippy Pitch. New Tavern Took An Early Lead As The Washington Winger Slipped In Behind Avenue Full-Back Adam Laing Who Pulled Up Injured. New Tavern Capitalized On The Short Numbers In Avenue's Defense To Take The Early Goal. Both Sides Enjoyed Reasonable Possession As Plenty Of Chances Were Created At Both Ends. New Tavern Then Took A Second Goal On Around 20 Minutes And Soon After Hit The Woodwork Too. The Avenue Pressed For Much Of The Later Stages Of The First Half But The Washington Defense Were Blocking Everything And The Keeper Having A Storming Match Too. The Second Half Was Much The Same, The Washington Keeper Pulling Off A World-Class Save To Deny A Paul Roughley Drive That Looked Destined For The Top Corner. New Tavern Had A Counter Attack Shortly After And Their No.10 Broke Through After A Slip By Josh Craig And Coolly Finished To Make It 3-0.
Hetton New Inn Afc 3 V2 Chester Relton Terrace
Hetton New Inn Dominated The Game In The First Half With The First Goal Coming In The Couple Of Minutes Of The Game With Some Good Team Work Then A Couple Of Minutes Later Another Goal Scoring Opportunity Was Denied By The Hand Of A Chester Relton Player And A Penalty Was Given Which Made It 2 - 0 To Hetton. Chester Down To 10men They Battled To Come Back With A Mistake By A Hetton Player Which Took It To 2 - 1 To Hetton. In The Second Half Hetton Took Their Foot Of The Pedal And Chester Scored Making It 2 - 2 Then With About 15 Mins To Go Hetton Scored Making It 3 - 2 But Chester Tried To Come Back But Hetton’s Defense Was To Strong Game Ended 3 - 2 To Hetton.
