Washington Cross Keys v Sacriston Cricket Club Score: 4 - 2
Entertaining match from start to finish with the first 2 goals going to liam young made it 2 nil. Chris morrison got the third with sacriston making it 3-1 within a short while. Sacriston always looked like scoring and keys soaked quite a lot of pressure. liam young then rounded off a hatrick with a wonder chip from outside the box lobbing the keeper at the far post (cross really!!) Another from the opposition and it ended the match 4-2. Another good win for the keys puts us in the dizzy heights of 4th in the league. In awful conditions sacriston played some good football but gave the game away as usual with individual errors. Washington scored within the first 10 mins then again in 20 mins. Sacriston pulled 1 back before half time. Then the self distruct button was pressed and the away side gave to goals away. Washington 4 sacriston 2

NETPark FC v Gilesgate Queens Head Score: 1 - 7
Netpark had the bare 11 then their keeper was injured after 5mins, lad turned up so came on and was sent off after 80mins for a 'professional foul' even though his team were 6-0 down, both sets of players demonstrated to the referee to use a bit of common sense!! Nightmare morning from start to finish, give Gilesgate Moor their due they took their chances well and have the best goalkeeper (Winter) and central midfielder (Cooper) in the first division by a country mile.
Chester Hilda Park V New Brancepeth Wmc Score: 2 - 1
New brancepeth started the game brightly but couldnt make it count and just before half time hilda park scored the 2nd half commenced and hilda park scored from a calamity where the ref awarded an offside then decided to change his mind after all the new brancepeths players had walked away allowing hilda park to just roll a ball into an empty net, andrew smith grabbed a consolation for new brancepeth. .Game that began been played by the teams in exciting style by both teams some excellent goalkeeping by Hilda Keeper Liam Bennett , chances were missed by both sides until Chris Watson ran on to a through ball from Tony Chapman to open the scoring and leave Hilda Leading at Half Time 1-0.Then in the second half 20mins of the strangest decisions I have seen in football saw (least said the better) Tony Chapman again put the ball square fr Stphen Gregory o Latch on to and beat the keeper 2-0 Hilda, followed later by a penalty given to New Brancepeth for their player stumbling over the ball Final Score 2-1 to Hilda
Houghton Chilton Lodge V Sherburn Village Score: 0 - 3
Chilton Lodge find themselves bottom of Division 1 after going down 0-3 to Sherburn Village Lambton Arms FC. Chilton Lodge created the only 2 first half chances of note as the sides went in 0-0 in an evenly contested 1st half. Ross Meenaghan had a header from 10 yards superbly saved by the Sherburn keeper who managed to tip the ball over the bar as it looked to be heading into the top corner. Andrew Bowes then managed to beat the Sherburn keeper with a drive from 12 yards only to find a Sherburn defender somehow clear the ball off the line. HT 0-0.
2nd half saw Sherburn come out and straight away test Chilton Lodge keeper Defty who had a quiet 1st half. A drive from 25 yards had Defty at full stretch to turn the ball out for a corner. Andrew Bowes then saw his freekick turned over the bar after another great save by the Sherburn keeper. Sherburn then went 1-0, a cross to the far post found an unmarked Sherburn player whose header was kept out by Defty only for the ball to fall for a Sherburn player who squared it for a team mate who found he net from 6 yards. Chilton Lodge then gifted Sherburn a 2nd as an attempted backpass from Martin Armstrong was underhit and fell straight to a Sherburn player who again squared for a team mate who scored from 12 yards . Things went from bad to worse for Chilton Lodge as David Firth went off injured following a tackle from his own team mate Andrew Bowes. Sherburn Village then sealed the points and made it 0-3 as Chilton Lodge defence failed to clear a Sherburn player found time and space inside the box to curl the ball into the far corner. Newly promoted Houghton Chilton Lodge FC now face a certain season long relegation battle FT 0-3.
East Rainton V Brandon Sports Score: 1 - 1
Even contest, with Brandon edging the first half and East Rainton improving as the game progressed and subsequently finishing the better side. Brandon's goal in the first half from Bryden, following excellent wing play from Blades. East Rainton got their deserved equaliser late in the game with a fine strike from the edge of the area. Good game between 2 good teams with the weather spoiling it with bad winds and rain, it Finished 1-1 with Andrew Ward scoring a cracker from 30yards with 5mins left to cancel out Brandon's goal after a great run from Lee Blades who squared for the ball for Brandon's goal, Blades starred for Brandon with Ward and Hayes outstanding for Rainton who also hit woodwork twice, but in the end a draw was a fair result.
Pelaw Grange Dogs fC vs Chilton WMC Score: 1 - 5
In the first half Pelaw Grange Dogs probably played the better football but failed to score or really test the keeper and paid the price with an easy goal for Chilton for Pelaw Grange Dogs to be 1 down at half time. They should of been able to recover from this in the second half but again an easy goal for Chilton in the second half and Pelaw looked as if they had given up the game. Although Pelaw still contolled most of the play Chilton were far by the better finishers and went 5 nil up before a good move by Pelaw saw them pull one back late in the game.

Street Relton Terrace vs Pity Me Lambton Hounds Score:
1 - 3
A well fought win for the Pity Me, who although won by 2 goals could have won by more as they had numerous chances and also missed a 1st half penalty early on. The game involved a lot of midfield battles and quite slick passing as a result of the surface being wet, one of which cost the home side an early penalty that unfortunately the skipper blazed over the bar. This gave Relton a lift, as they thought they had a let off. They started getting in to the game more, getting some possession but not managing to create any clear cut chances. As a result Pity Me took advantage, a good turn and burst of pace got the left winger some space, and he slid a fantastic ball through to the winger from the right to break through the defence and take it round the keeper and slide it in to an empty net. This helped Pity me gain some confidence and get a grip of the game, and again when the left winger got some space he hit it with the outside of his foot in to the corner. Relton managed to get a goal back before half time when they broke through the defence and an easy finish left it at 1-2 at the end of the first half. The second half began much in the same fashion, but there was not as many chances for either side. A couple of times Relton got through the defence with playing long balls but Pity Me's keeper was always aware. and then with about 20 mins to go, the right winger for pity me managed to get loose in the right hand side of the area after a bit of a scramble and hit a thunderous shot which hit off the bar and rebounded off the keeper in to the net to make it 1-3. The game petered out a bit after that for t he last part, and it ended with a good away win for Pity Me.

High Shincliffe Avenue vs Ferryhill Celtic Score: 2 - 8
Despite losing their back up Keeper at 11:30 the night The Avenue battled hard today and kept things tight in the first half with scores at 2-1 at half-time. Boss Michael Robson pulling a few great saves as he desputised in between the sticks and a good work rate throughout. High Shincliffe's goal was started and finished by lone striker, Paul Roughley. He played a sublime cross-field 45 yard pass to skipper, Andrew Sharp.
