fast tempo, even contest. hetton took the lead during the first half but brandon equalised before the break with a penalty. second half much of the same but a top quality free kick from david fort won it for brandon.

Kelloe took the lead when debutant swankie fired home. Kelloe doubled their lead when reeves coolly slotted home. After the break, a penalty was converted from charlton with ease. Chesters pulled 2 goals back with. Fine finish and a penalty but kelloe regained momentum when best headed in from a free kick. Substitute Guthrie finished a great team move off to make the game safe at 5-2 to kelloe wmc.

Sedgefield St Edmunds
St Edmunds went 1-0 up in the first minute after a free kick from Brian fairhurst hit the post and Dan Newby scored from the rebound. JFC equalised in the 30th minute and scored the winner half way through second half

Premier League Match.St. Ed`s went ahead after 4 minutes when a well struck
shot came back off the post and was tapped in from the rebound 1-0, St. Ed`s
continued to press with "The Cat Smithy" making 3 great saves in
the first half, wjfc came more into the game as the 1st half progressed and
Burty on the left shot just wide in the 33rd minute, then in the 40minute
Burty rounded the St. Ed`s right back and chipped the encroaching keeper to
make it 1-1 at the break.The second half belonged to wjfc who had the
majority of the play and made several chances without scoring. That all
changed when in the 68minute Morrel hit a cracker from 25yds which brought a
cracking save from the St. Ed`s keeper, this should have being a warning to
St. Ed`s as in the 74 minute Morrell hit a daisy cutter from 20yds out which
flew into the bottom right hand corner of the goal 2-1 wjfc.The game remained
tight until the final whistle with wjfc holding out well, claiming their
first points of the season.

Houghton Mill 0 v 5 Chester Plough
In division one Chester Plough picked up their first away win of the season winning 5-0 at Houghton Mill All Stars. On forty three minutes Andrew Dawson scored the only goal of the first half. Man of the match Ben Lloyd netted three second half goals and a second from Dawson gave Chester a comfortable victory. Chris Lowrey was Mill's star man.

Chester Hilda Park 1 V 7 New Brancepeth Wmc
new brancepeth started the game very slowly and although hilda only started with ten men new brancepeth took haf and hour to get going when kidd raced through and lobbed keeper,bussey then added a 2nd before half time,2nd half new brancepeth got back to what they do best which was quick passing football and kidd fired in another 4 goals,hilda grabbed a consolation but turner rounded off the game with a neat finish
Chilton lodge Fc 3 v 3 Dubmire fc
Houghton Chilton Lodge Fc faced Dubmire WMC at Leyburn Grove in this local derby. HCLFC took the lead midway through the first half when Andrew Bowes fed Iain Mac through who finished well one on one with the keeper. HCLFC then went 2-0 up, a long kick by Defty in goal was chased down by mom Perri Agnew who exquisitely lobbed the ball over the keeper with the outside of his right foot into the unguarded net from a tight angle. Dubmire were unlucky not to pull one back before halftime when the number 10 struck the bar with a curling effort. Around the hour mark HCLFC went 3-0 up when Perri Agnew laid the ball across the 6 yard box for Magic Craig Johnson to score. Straight from the kick off Dubmire pulled a goal back as HCLFC fell asleep, a cross from the right was headed into the corner by the Dubmire number 10. with 10 minutes to go despite pressure from Dubmire, HCLFC looked like they were going to take the points but Dubmire scored a fortunate 2nd to get themselves back into the game.a high ball was put onto the back post which went through Defty's hands into the net. with a minute to go HCLFC had a freekick near the opposing corner flag, Dubmire won the ball back and broke away chasing an equaliser. another cross into the box wasnt dealt with and ellison volleyed home at the back post to ensure the points were shared.Scorers for Dubmire James Gardiner header ,A Paul Donaldson cross cum shot and a close range volley from Elsdon Thompson helped Dubmire earn a point .

Langley hit the woodwork twice in first half and missed sum really good chances ,so 0-0 at half time and had a feeling going to be one them days,esh scored early in 2nd half when somehow ball ended up in net after going all over in the box, langley pressed after that and missed chances again and a couple of easy ones to,langley pushed a lot upfront and esh broke away and scored in last minute to tie up game,langley just couldn't get that goal and other days would of won easy

Quarrington Hill WMC 4 v 3 Pity Me Lambton Hounds F.C
Pity Me took the lead in the first half. Q. Hill equalised shortly after to make it 1-1. Pity Me then took the lead again 10 mins before half time, going in 2-1 up at half time. Q.Hill scored 2 within 15 mins of the 2nd half kick off to make it 3-2. Pity Me equalised 5 mins later to take the game to 3-3. Pity Me had a goal ruled offside which would of made it 4-3. Q.Hill then made it 4-3 10 mins before the end, even though the Q.Hill striker had shouted 'Leave it' when a Pity Me defender went to claim the ball, which should of been an indirect freekick to Pity Me. But the referee claimed it was allowed!An exciting game of football, with 3 goals in the opening 7 minutes. Pity Me opened the scoring after just 2 minutes, with a well taken free kick. Q Hill replied 3 minutes later with a goal from Allan Tingley, but the parity was short lived as Pity Me scored again 2 minutes later. Half Time 1-2.The second half was again very evenly matched and well contested and Q Hill levelled again through Luke Jury on 55 mins. Q Hill took the lead for the first time in the game with a goal from Phil Jones on 72 mins, but Pity Me replied again 3 minutes later. With a draw looking like a fair result Q Hill Man of the Match Luke Jury bagged his second on 83 mins and secured 3 points for Q Hill.

Burnside wmc 5 v 4 Chester st Cuthberts
End To End Game With Burnside Going Ahead 3 Times Then With 10 Minutes To Go Chester St Cuthberts Equalised To Send The Match Into Extra Time. 5 Minutes Into The Restart Chester Take The Lead With A Quick Break From Defending There Own Corner. With Minutes To Go The Ball Got Laid Back To Davison 20 Yards Out Who Smahed It Through A Host Of Bodies Into The Bottom Corner To Take The Game To Penalties. Scorers For Burnside Was Bailey Carroll Shears And Davison. Burnside Won 5 4 On Penalties,Cuthberts lost on penalties in what was a good display against a burnside team 2 division above them. Bailes 2, Hutchinson and a Fryer goal in extra time for the Cuthberts. Penalties a cruel way to lose, but a pleasing performance, especially battling back 2nd half with 10 men, after Clarkson was dismissed following a harsh 2nd yellow.
Bowburn FC 1 v 4 Pelaw Grange Dogs FC
Pelaw took the lead when Kevin Turnes flicked the ball on for Chris Harvey to volley home from close range. 2v0 when good build up play between Chris Gosnell and David Henderson seen Henderson cross a ball in for Kevin Turnes who finished well first time into the bottom corner. It was 3v0 when Chris Harvey scored his second of the game when a corner was flicked to the back post and Harvey hooked the ball into the back of the net. Pelaw concerned when a free kick was hit to the near post and not clear for the Bowburn midfielder to find the back of the net. David Henderson then made it 4v1 when he managed to beat two defenders and lob the keeper from close range.
Framwellgate Club 0 v 2 Durham County Seniors
The visitors created enough chances in the first half to put this game to bed but in the end it took two goals either side of the break to secure a much deserved passage thought to the next round. Adam Whale opened the scoring chasing down a lost cause then capitalising on a goalkeeping error to slot home from close range. The highlight of the match came when Mark Hughes headed down to set up Lee Walker who struck a dipping half volley from distance against the cross bar. The second goal came mid way thought the second half Jordan Haywood found Scott Arnott on the edge of the box, he skipped pass two challenges and rifled home in the roof of the net. Adam Birks and Mark Hughes went close late on.
Chester Cricket Club 5 v 1 Kelloe Davy Lamp
Chester Cricket Club beat Kelloe Davy Lamp 5-1 in the 2nd round of the Guards Cup. A hattrick from Matthew Bennett and a goal apiece for Brinsley Sheridan and Andrew Robinson secured victory.

v 3 Pelton ROAB.
Sacriston scored 1st catching Pelton
on the break, Sam Renwick headed home after some good play by Liam Burn.
Pelton were then awarded a soft penalty, the Pelton player going down rather
theatrically but justice when Potts made a great save to keep it out. Pelton
equalised after the Ref stopped the game for no apparent reason when Sacriston
were in possession, Pelton's keeper then knocked a long ball over the top
which Sacriston were unable to deal with and the striker scored. Pelton then
went 2-1 up. 2nd half and Sacriston drew level, Alex Peake struck a lovely
free kick from the left hand side, it took a little deflection and found the
top corner. In the last 20 minutes Pelton were the stronger side and had a
few chances, they took the lead after a great save from Potts fell to Graver
who drilled the ball into the empty net. Sacriston continued to try and find
the equaliser but were unable to. Final Score 2-3 to Pelton.Pelton goals WERE

Sedgefield NETPark 4 v 1 Chester Whitehills
NETPark were very nearly at full strength today and it showed, some lovely play in the first half had them 3-0 up after 30mins, Whitehills played well and pulled a deserved goal back after 38mins from a corner after their striker was left unmarked to head in at the front post, H/T 3-1Second half and it was NETPark again creating the better chances. Martyn Musgrave finally made the game safe with a great finish after 70mins, both teams kept going but it was NETPark who deservingly went through to the next round, F/T 4-1 |
