Pelaw Grange Dogs FC 1 v 3 New Brancepeth wmc.fc
Pelaw Grange Dogs FC should of been looking forward to this game against New Brancepeth as Pelaw Grange Dogs FC headed the league, but gave a lack lustre performance throughout the game. New Brancepeth were quicker to the ball and the second ball and deservedly went ahead early in the game with a header from there no. 5 past a stranded Pete Adnitt. 10 minutes later they scored again but as New Brancepeth continued to have the better work rate and chances a goal from skipper David Donnelly should of inspired the Dogs to a better performance. As he beat a couple of men and drove forward before volleying the ball into the back of the net from 35 yards. Pelaw in the second half went 3 -1 down early on and still didn't repsond. With half an hour to go Kevin Turnes replaced Josh Donnelly and looked the most lively Pelaw player. Not long from the end a ball over the top to Kev Turnes and Chris Harvey who were both well on side being played on by a centre back was given as off side which could of made an exciting last ten minutes. Also a ball in from the right whizzed across the front of goal and past all the players to Kev Turnes who over hit it and it shot past the post. Overall though Pelaw Grange Dogs FC need to improve on this performance. At the back Scott Patterson was awarded the man of the nmatch and teamed up well with Paul Curry. Next week sees the Dogs at Hetton for the County Cup which they will need to be much better.

LUMLEY 3 v 3 QUARRINGTON HILL
Quarrington Hill took an early lead only for Lumley to equalize befre half time through Laider.Laidler added his & Lumleys second, then it looked like Chris Dawson's goal had won the game, only for Q Hill to battle to draw 3-3
Newton Aycliffe 4 - 3 Brandon
Close game that could have gone either way. Aycliffe created the most chances and could have been our of sight but failed to capitalise. Brandon kept going to the end and could have snatched a point:Two goals each from Liam Cooper and Chase McMullen were enough to give Aycliffe a narrow victory over a competative Brandon side.A series of missed chances almost cost Aycliffe a point but they held on to claim all three.
Houghton comrades 1  v3  kelloe wmc
In a half where kelloe dominated from the off, playing with the wind, kelloe went close to opening the scoring through beeston and megran. Kelloe took the lead when an inviting cross from beeston was calmly finished from Barton. Into the 2nd half kelloe pushed again, Barton had chances but headed straight at the comrades keeper. Houghton punished kelloe when Wilson scored straight from a free kick 30yards out. Kelloe recouped and pushed on an were rewarded when a through ball from Graham was fired in by megran. Megran made the game safe when he fired in with a fine left foot drive to make it 3-1 to kelloe.

pittington  3 v5  burnmoor
this was a good game, with a good tempo played throughout, but in the end burnmoors better quality was enough to see off pittington,
Chester st cuthberts 0-4 Esh Winning CC
Cuthberts went down again in the league after what was in truth a poor match. Goalless at half time, with cuthberts having edged the first half. However clinical finishing from esh allowed them to win easily in the end, converting 4 of the 5 chances they created. With Cuthberts struggling to create much at the other end second half.
High Shincliffe Avenue 1 v 5 Chester Relton Terrace
Injury hit High Shincliffe took on Chester Relton Terrace on a mild Sunday morning. Relton applied a lot of pressure from the kick off which off after they scored their first goal on around 20 minutes. The Avenue plugged away and had a few breaks with both sides earning a number of corners. Late in the first half a mistake by High Shincliffe gaffer Roughley allowed Relton in to score their second from close range. After a bit of tinkering with the formation the Avenue started the second half well and James Pine scored his first goal for the club with a well-timed header from a Peter Buckle corner. The Avenue had a spell for another 10 minutes where it looked like an equaliser may have been possible but the Relton back line marshalled their territory superbly with no.4 winning nearly every aerial challenge. Relton then got a hold of the second half and were ultimately too good on the day for the Avenue who lost Pine and Roughley to further injuries. Three more goals saw Relton claim a deserved 3 points and both sides had a man booked for late tackles.

Shadforth 0 - 5 Ferryhill
Shadforth entertained division 1 side, Ferryhill Saints, the homeside were short on numbers due to the Great North Run taking place.
The Plough battled and worked hard, but stand in stoppeer Coxon couldn't prevent his side going in 1 down at half time, Ferryhill went onto score 4 more in the second half, one penalty one own goal and 2 well worked goals.

Coxhoe wmc fc 1 - 1 sedgefield St Edmunds
In a game where Coxhoe had to represent themselves after there crushing defeat by Hetton Lyons cc a week before gave Sedgefield St Edmunds a game of equal standards.
Both teams went in at half time level pegging 0 - 0 with Coxhoe having the most of the first half, Sedgefield came out for the second half eager to get the first goal which caim in the 53rd min after a goal mouth scramble, not to be out done Coxhoe replied 2mins later with the equaliser scored by a rocketing effort by man of the match Simon Ord.Both teams battled to get the winner but chances where cancelled out by both teams.

Houghton Mill 6 v 4  Sedgefield NP
Alistair Dodds proved to be the match winner as Houghton Mill All Stars gained their first points of the season in a ten goal thriller at home to Sedgefield Net Park.
In the opening ten minutes both sides came close to opening the scoring - Mill's David Allison cleared a Phil Bland shot off the goal line whilst Mill's Jon Hissett struck the upright at the opposite end.Sedgefield then stormed into a 3-0 half time lead - Chris Barber netting two penalty kicks either side of Nicky Walker header. But Mill fought back in incredible fashion scoring six second half goals - Jonathan Shanks knocked home a Shaun Corner cross for Mill's first before two Jon Hissett goals brought the game level. The killer goal was scored by centre half Alistair Dodds lurking at the far post to put Mill 4-3 ahead from a Luke Clark corner kick. Shaun Corner fired Mill further ahead before Peter Sedgewick's twelve yard effort pulled one back for Sedgefield. Mill's Luke Clark netted in the dying moments of the game for 6-4 and three well deserved points for Mill.

Lumley 3 V 3 Q hill
A well contested game that what it lacked in quality more than made up for in committment & effort. The game could have gone either way so a draw was probably a fair result
Despite taking the lead Q Hill never looked comfortable and poor defending and good wide play by Lumley meant the sides were even at half time.
Lumley started the second half the better team and took a deserved lead with the winger being influential again. Some sloppy play from Q Hill meant Lumley netted again to make it 3-1.
Q Hill replied almost immediately following a box to box run from Jeff Dean beating 5 players and setting up a tap in for Chris Winter.
The equaliser came after a rare piece of quality play and a cool finish from Allan Tingley.
Q Hill man of the match was Jeff Dean

Pity Me Lambton Hounds 2 - 6 Washington Honest Boy
The match was very even in the first half, with very few chances. Both teams trying to pass the ball about without much success, play breaking down in the middle of the park or balls over the top running through to the goalkeepers. This carried on till just before half time when Honest Boy got a corner kick. It was miss kicked a couple of times as it was played accross the box and before the defence could react the away side tapped it in to make it 0-1. Honest Boy came out fast at the start of the second half and scored 2 simple goals to make it 0-3, which seemed to spark the home side in to life. After a substitution they seemed to get their passing game going and scored a well worked goal from the edge of the box to make it 1-3. Lambton Hounds carried this pressure on and got a somewhat controversial penalty for handball, which was then dispatched to make it 2-3. This seemed to worry Honest Boy but they got a penalty themselves shortly after for a trip, and after scoring and making it 2-4 they seemed to relax. They started to pass the ball around better and scored another 2 goals before the end making the final score 2-6. Overall probably a deserved win for the away side, although at times they were under some intense pressure form Lambton Hounds who just struggled to put away the chances.
Sacriston Cricket Club FC 4  v 0 Framwellgate Moor WMC
This was a very one sided match from start to finish and but for some poor finishing by us and some excellent goalkeeping at times from the Framwellgate Moor keeper this could have been a cricket score. In the end the 4 we did score was more than enough to win the game comfortably and we found it difficult to produce the kind of football that we have been playing recently. We took the lead on 8 minutes when Gary Draper’s deep far post corner was well met by the head of Michael Frazer and he headed home powerfully from 5 yards out.Gary Draper then doubled the lead on 16 minutes when Michael Quinn hooked his left foot clearance up field which found Draper in between the 2 Framwellgate Moor centre halves and he finished very well sliding his shot past the keeper into the bottom right hand corner. Then on 35 minutes we made it 3-0 when Neil Couling’s excellent run and cross found Collinson in the box who thought his effort had crossed the line following a desperate attempt by the keeper to keep it out but Anthony Ward was there on hand to bury the rebound.Graeme Jones came on at half time for Michael Quinn and within 60 minutes of the game being played Robert Nixon and Andrew Solan had come on for James Thornton and Andrew Collinson. On 48 minutes we created our first chance of the 2nd half after a really patient team passing move resulted in Grant Boyd having the time to let fly with a left footed shot from 25 yards out which just arced away from goal and clipped the outside of the far post, a really good effort. Michael Frazer went close again with a header from a corner on 50 minutes.Framwellgate Moor only managed 2 shots in the whole game and Hall did have to be sharp in the Sacriston goal to get down to a long range effort on 52 minutes. Then on 65 minutes Sacriston made it 4-0 when a crisp passing move between Boyd and Solan ended up with Solan bursting into the box before shooting left footed under pressure and finding the inside of the far post which then rebounded into the net.Sacriston did have many other chances to extend the scoreline, with Ward missing the majority of those chances but he never stopped getting in there. Then shortly afterwards the final whistle went to end the game at 4-0. nother clean sheet was very pleasing as the defence were imperious throughout!
Hilda Park 2 v 7  Dubmire
Consolation goals by Mcteer and Oldfield eased the pain of another poor performance , still with key players missing and a stand in goalkeeper this is going to be a long season for Hilda Park. Take nothing away from Dubmire they deserved the praise some outstanding performances from there front two and some brilliant saves by the keeper.
