It’s an all Swinburn Maddison Durham Sunday League, Durham County Football Association Cup Final, Both Underdogs Kelloe Wmc and Brandon Bay Horse make Final. The Final to be played on Easter Sunday at Eppleton Cw with a 2-0pm Kick Off. In the all Durham Sunday League Premier Clash Kelloe Wmc entertained Current Holders Hetton Lyons Cricket Club. In front of a Very Large Crowd The first 20 minutes was an even game both teams having a couple of half chances. Then the game changed when Kelloe striker Gavin Barton was sent off for foul on Lyons Player Callum Griffiths, Hetton then started to have much of the ball without creating too many clear cut chances. Using both flanks well but no end product in front of goal, 0-0 at half time. Early in the second Half 10 man Kelloe Wmc opened the scoring when Chris Smith delivered a corner for Ian Ward to flick on before Alex Wilson headed home. 10 minutes later Kelloe went 2 nil up when Chris Smith again delivered a long ball for man of the match Ian Ward to finish. Hetton then pushed forward and had the majority of possession and missed several shooting chances before Warren Byrne fired over from inside the box. Kelloe defended well and held on to the 2 nil lead. Brandon Bay Horse Traveled to the Much Fancied Barley Mow Wmc from the Gateshead Sunday League in the Other Semi final, on a small pitch, chances was few and far between, again a big crowd. Barley Mow having the best of the possession in the First Half the Brandon Keeper only having to make one save from Barley Mows Jamie Howe’s, long range effort .Gavin Mudd for Bay Horse was outstanding in midfield. The Only Goal of the game scored By Brandon forward Michael Fort.In the Bishop Auckland Heart Foundation Cup Quarter Final Newton Aycliffe Wmc entertained Wear Valley side Witton Park Rose and Crown. A John Owen Goal was not enough for the Aycliffe as they crashed out 3-1, Moffat, Jardine and a Penalty for Thompson for the Rose and Crown

In the Leagues Premier Division Chester Hilda Park entertained Langley Park wmc it was huge game in terms of premier league survival, the game started with Langley starting the better and duly got noses in front with their first real attempt on goal. Hilda Park did however have chances and in this league it has become apparent that taking chances is vital, and Langley got their second, this seemed to be Hilda Parks Wake up call and for the last 20mins of the 1st half They came into the game a lot more, and good midfield running from Ross Watson, following a superb cross from Steven Wood saw him convert at the near post just before half time. Half Time – Hilda Park 1 Langley Park Wmc 2.The second half started in the same vain as the first ended with Hilda Park on the front foot but unable to find the equalizer Possibly against the run of play Langley restored their advantage when Langley’s no.10 got his second of the game. After this, despite Hilda Parks’s efforts they couldn’t force their way back into the game and Langley came away with the 3points.Full Time – Hilda Park 1 Langley Park Wmc 3. Pelton Roab Traveled to Ferryhill Wmc and Goals from,Carl Ritchie 3 Luke Kerry 2 , Anthony Davison ,Michael Graver gave them a very impressive 7-2 win
In the Leagues First Division Houghton Comrades ended Steelers FC's lengthy winning run with a superb display. In a high tempo game that was officiated by Mr C Piggott, the visitors took the lead very early on. Craig Thompson then produced a little bit of class for the home side to level the score mid way through the first half. This was not enough to keep the Comrades at bay as they went 2-1 up before the break with a direct goal from a set piece. As much as Steelers tried to get back into the game the visiting side were equal in not conceding any quarter. A fabulous match was sealed when Houghton scored a thunderous goal from 35 yards that was in as soon as it left the lads boot and victory ensured that they remained top of division one.Gilesgate Moor Lost 3-2 at Sedgefield Black Lion, Burnside won 4-0 at Ushaw Moor Cricket Club.



In the Second Division Sedgefield Net Park travelled to Pelton Fc After an even start to the match Sedgefield opened the scoring through Martin Lower with a towering header from a corner - half time 1-0 to Netpark.Pelton started the second half the stronger and were rewarded with a goal from a 20 yard strike over the 'keeper. Pelton were soon reduced to ten men after their centre midfielder was dismissed for verbally abusing the referee. Despite the numerical advantage Sedgefield were unable to find another goal and Pelton took a 2-1 lead through a header from a free kick. Sedgefield piled on the pressure in the closing stages, but to no avail, with Pelton catching them on the break to add a third with an opulent chip in the closing minutes. Durham Bede Lodge lost 3-2 at West Rainton Fc.Sherburn Lambton Arms lost 2-1 at Washington Victoria.Coxhoe wmc were 3-0 Home winners over Washington Lambton Village.



In the Third Division It took visitors Pelaw Grange Dogs 36 minutes to score against Bowburn Cooperage but when they passed it around they fully deserved to go in at half time 1 nil up. Craig Bain made way for Scott Patterson ten minutes into the second half and had hardly touched the ball when a penalty was given against him to make it 1-1. This revived Bowburn but with ten minutes to go Paul Hargreaves for Pelaw Grange Dogs broke into the box to be brought down but as the ball broke to substitute Neil Worley the referee waived play on but Neil was blocked and the referee blew for a penalty that Neil rolled just inside the post. Neil had replaced Anthony Nicholson who had worked hard. No one saw what was to come as balls were put behind Bowburn defense as first Neil got a second and then a fine ball by Scott Patterson split the defense again for Andrew Tippins to get a second. Chris Gosling then supplied David Donnelly to put into an open goal to make it 1 5 to Pelaw grange Dogs fc.Shadforth Plough Inn won 4-0 at Bishop Middleham Cross Keys. Goals from Jonathan Gaunt, Callum Hopps and a wonder strike from David Lowther secure 3 vital points for East Rainton’s Promotion charge. As Rainton run out 3-1 winners at Pittington Fc . New Durham Wmc Beat Framwellgate Moor Wmc 6-0 With A Hatrick From Mark Wild One Goal Each For Nicky Marley Daniel Chester And Mickey Parker, Chester Easy Street were 4-2 winners over Ferryhill Saints, and Chilton Lodge won 3-1 at the Bird Inn.
In the Fourth Division Framwelgate Moor salutation welcomed a few players back into the side from the last game as they traveled to Quarrington Hill Wmc a cracking game, well contested and refereed, which for an hour was a lot closer than the score suggests. Both teams had good spells of possession but Quarrington Hill were guilty of spurning good chances, before the deadlock was broken on 37 minutes with a penalty converted by Dan Beaney, with Framwellgate Salutation keeper coming close to pulling off a good save. HT 1-0.The second half was close again for the first 15 minutes until Dan Beaney and Andrew Ross put Q Hill 3-0. Quarrington Hill started to have more of the game now and secured the points when Stu Walton capped a brilliant display scoring direct from a corner and Chris Winter scored with a bullet header on 88 minutes.A fine win 5-0 for Quarrington Hill that they worked for and in the end deserved. Dubmire Wmc and Chester Cricket Club drew 2-2, Michael Redshaw and Jonathan Haggerty with the goals for Chester CC.Washington Honest Boy crashed to a 6-1 Defeat at Langley Park Rams Head.Burnmoor Jnr Lost 10-2 at Ferryhill Dynamo’s.
