2nd Division
Langley Park Rams Head V Bede Lodge   Score: 3 - 5
Last Season Div. 3 Champions Won An Entertaining Game But Langley Come Out Disappointed Not Getting Nothing Out Of Game. Bede Started The Better But Once Langley For Their Passing Together They Got Back Into Game And Took Lead With Good Work From Steven Cummings Who Played In Christopher Laverick. Bede Then Got Back Into The Game With Some Poor Defending And Goalkeeping By Langley And Bede Were 3-1 Up At Half Time, Langley Then Started The Better In Second Half And Won A Penalty Which Steven Mickle Coolly Put Away, Langley Were The Much Better Side And Kept Attacking With Bede Keeper Making Couple Of Good Saves, Then Bede Got A Corner And Keeper Dropped It For Bede To Score And Put Further In Front. But Langley Wouldn’t Lie Down And Scored Again From A Good Header Of A Corner Of Steven Cummings, Langley Just Kept Going At Bede But There Defence Stood Still, Then Game Was Sewn Up With 8 Minutes To Go Bede Got A Penalty And Deservedly So Which They Put Away
Chester Le Street St Cuthbert’s Vs. Sacriston WMC  Score: 1 - 3
Game Of Two Halves With Cuthbert’s Winning The First Half And Sacriston Looking Off The Pace. Goals From Sanderson, Wardle And Dawson Secured Three Points For Sacriston. Cuthbert’s lost Their First League Game against a Decent Sacriston WMC Side. Cuthbert’s had the Better of the First Half and Took the League through Fryer, But Didn’t Extend Their Lead While on Top Which Proved Costly. Let Sacriston Back Into It Just Before Half Time, And Then Gifted Them Two Poor Goals In Second Half.
Ushaw Moor Cricket Club vs. Chester Red Lion Score: 0-2
A Game Red Lion Won Easy But That Barn Door Kept Moving
High Handen Hold  Bird Inn Vs. Britannia CLS  Score: 0 - 2
The Britannia Kicked Off There League Campaign With A Comfortable 2-0 Victory Over Bird Inn, Goals Coming From Scott Hope And Sub Mattie Bennett.
3rd Division
Ferryhill Dynamos. V Framwellgate  Moor WMC  Score: 6 - 2
Disappointing Result
Bowburn V Bishop Middleham  Score: 1 - 10
After The Heartache Of Losing Their Opening Game In The Cup , Middleham Were Determined To Get There League Campaign Off To A Good Start With A Tricky Away Fixture , Bowburn Tried To Condense The Play By Playing A Very High Line Right From The Start , This Was To Middlehams Advantage As The Pairing Of Andrew Blackburn And John Cook Proved Way Too Quick For The Bowburn Defenders And It Was No Surprise When Blackburn Opened The Scoring When He Latched On To A Ball Over The Top From Sean Cook To Round The Keeper And Coolly Slot Home After 10 Minutes , Middleham Were Rampant And The Impressive Blackburn Played In The Perfect Ball From The Left For His Strike Partner Cook To Head Home Five Minutes Later , The Flood Gates Opened With Cook Taking Advantage Of Bowburns High Line With A Ball Over The Top For Blackburn To Round The Keeper Again , Middleham Were In Full Flow And Keeping The Ball Well With Some Slick Passing And Movement Created Yet Another Goal For Blackburn On The Half Hour , The 5th Goal Came From A Throw In Which Was Flicked On From Cook Towards The Back Post Were David Redfern Tapped The Ball Home , Bowburn Were Lost And Again Tried To Play The Offside Trap When A Neat Ball From Sean Split The Defence And Blackburn Finished , He Followed That Up With Another Strike To Make It 8/0 At Half Time...
Understandably The Second Half Middleham Eased Off The Pressure And Made A Couple Of Substitutions , But Were Spurred On Again When Out The Blue Bowburns Number 10 Raymond Pirt Riffled A 18 Yard Raspier Into The Top Corner , To Make It 8/1 But It Was Little Consolation And Once Again Blackburn Latched Onto A Through Ball From Phil Norman To Take His Tally To 6 For The Match , Double Figures For Middle ham Were Completed When On The Stroke Of 90 Minuets John Cook Got His Hat trick And The Game Finished 10/1..
Lumley V Chester Le Street Waldridge Park   Score: 3 - 6
Despite Lumley Taking An Early 2-0 Lead, Waldridge Went Onto Dominate And Won Comfortably 6-3. Waldridge Park FC Got The New Season Off To Winning Start With An Impressive 6-3 Win Away At Local Rivals Lumley FC. Both Teams Started Brightly With Chances At Either End However A Defensive Mix Up In The Waldridge Defence Presented The Home Side With A Free Kick In A Dangerous Position Which They Duly Scored From. Waldridge Pressed For An Equaliser However Were Caught With A Quick Break And The Home Side Got A Second. This Stirred Park Who Got Their Passing Game Together and Pulled One back When Striker Chris Days Finished of a Neat Passing Move. Waldridge Drew Level When A Long Free Kick By Centre Half Jake Burns Was Latched Onto By Days And He Skipped Past The Defenders To Score. After The Break Waldridge Took Complete Control Of The Game With Nearly Constant Attacks. Further Goals Came from Fellow Striker Joe Hughes, Two More for Days and an Excellent Headed Goal by Burns. A Further Consolation For Lumley Came With A Well Struck Goal Minutes From The End. Man Of The Match Award Went To Chris Days On The Back Of A Very Good All Round Team Performance By Waldridge!
Washington Honest Boy Vs. Pittington Score: 3 - 1
The Honest Boy Came Out Winners In This Ugly Game Where Both Sides Were Guilty Of Shocking Tackles.
Sedgefield social club v Chester Whitehills Score: 1 - 2
team, supporters and officials conducted themselves very well and the game was played in a good spirit
4th Division
Pity Me Lambton Hounds Vs. Bowburn Athletic   Score: 6 - 1
A Pretty One Sided Game That Could Have Easily Have Reached Double Figures Had It Not Been For Bow burn’s Keeper And The Woodwork. Pity Me Started Well, Getting an Early Goal and Keeping the Pressure on Straight after Resulting In a Penalty. Bowburn Thought It Was Harsh, But Although The Striker Still Managed To Get A Shot Away There Was A Rash Challenge That Stopped His Momentum. That Was Duly Dispatched To Make It 2-0. The Away Side Then Got Back In To The Game, In The Way That Cost Pity Me 2 Goals In The Previous Game Against Ushaw Moor, Slack Marking At A Corner Allowing A Tap In Inside The Box. This Spurred The Home Side In To Life A Bit And Got Another Goal Before Half Time To Make It 3-1 At The Break. During This Time And After The 2nd Half Started Pity I Had Chance After Chance That Was Thwarted By Either The Keeper Or The Woodwork, Leaving The Home Side's Number 9 Frustrated As It Was Mainly His Chances Not Managing To Go In. The Away Side Were Limited To Long Balls As They Couldn't Muster Any Possession Away From Pity Me Who Were Playing Some Lovely Football. A Couple Of Substitutions And A Change Back To Their Normal Formation Made The Home Side More Ruthless In Front Of Goal, And In The Last 25 Minutes Grabbed Themselves 3 More Goals Although Again It Should Have Been A Few More. Final Score 6-1, And A Deserved First League Win For Pity Me.
Chester-Le Street Relton AFC Vs. Ferryhill Community Hub Score: 3 - 1
Relton FC Took An Early Lead From The Penalty Spot. Ferryhill Hub Never Really Seemed To Get Into The Game And Watched On As Relton Took A 3 - 0 Lead. In The Second Half Ferryhill Had A Small Bounce Back Making It 3 - 1 But Could Not Find The Strength To Pull It All The Way Back. Final Result: Relton FC 3 - 1 Ferryhill Hub
Gilesgate The Shoes’ Vs. High Shincliffe Avenue Score: 2 - 5
High Shincliffe Started The Game Brightly And Created A Couple Of Decent Chances But Against The Run Of Play Gilesgate Took The Lead With A Well Made Move. Our Confidence Grew And We Scored A Second After A Bit Of Confusion Amongst Shincliffe Defence. Half Time It Was 0-2
Second Half And Shincliffe Really Came At Us And Scored A Goal. Gilesgate Shook Themselves Together And Went 3-1 Up Before A Terrible Back pass Was Converted To Make It 3-2.Gilesgate Made A Sub And It Proved Crucial As The Sub Came On To Score Twice To Clinch The Game
Overall A Great Game And Everyone Behaved Themselves Well. The Pitch Was An Absolute Joy To Play On.
Quarrington Hill WMC Vs. Ferryhill Celtic Fc Score: 1 - 7
Ferryhill Celtic Fc Dominated the Match Nice 1 Touch Passing From Back to Front Easy Win
Witton  Gilbert WMC vs. Esh winning Cricket  Club  Score: 2 - 4
despite going behind twice in the game Esh winning always looked like likely winners of this match:
High Shincliffe Avenue vs. Gilesgate Moor The Shoes Score: 2 - 5

The score line doesn't reflect the game, High Shincliffe easily matching if not outplaying The Shoes. Not to take anything away from the victors who battled hard and took their chances. Avenue gave the opposition too many easy goals including one where the 'keeper thought offside had been blown when it hadn't, calamity city!! Avenue had a clear-cut penalty denied when the ball was handled on the line but the ref didn't blow. Josh Carr scored both of the Avenue's goals to take his tally to 3 for the season. With Dean Taylor the star man with all four goals.
Belmont the Shoes v Washington Cherry Tree Score: 2 - 1

Belmont took the lead, then a good fight back from Washington Cherry Tree brought it level. Not long after Belmont scored the winner when Washington cherry Tree keeper was unable to palm the ball wide of his post.
