Hetton got the breakthrough in the 73rd minute, a long ball from Tommy English and Leon Ryan flicked it on to Chris Bell and he chipped the advancing goalkeeper, great goal it took a long time but it was worth the wait 0-1. Both teams made changes as there was some very tired players and it was the Lyons sub Jason Ainsley that put the Lyons 2 goals up in the 90th minute, a free kick from 25 yards and he kept it low and the Boldon goalkeeper couldn't hold on to it and the ball was in the back of the net 0-2.
