semi-finals of the Ramside Hall hotel Cup winners Trophy were played.Hetton
Lyons Cricket Club Travelled to Brandon Sports and Kelloe Wmc travelled to
Pelton ROAB.Danny Craggs grabbed a hat-trick for
the Lyons in this cup tie and both teams might have scored a lot more goals but
for some great saves from both goalkeepers. Nicky Kane came close for the Lyons
when his shot from close range smashed against the cross bar, shortly
after Craggs was fouled and a brilliant free kick from 20 yards from Craig
Price gave the goalkeeper no chance 0-1 after 18 minutes. Brandon replied with
a shot from Gavin Mudd that was well saved from Jameson and on 29 minutes
Brandon thought they had equalized but an excellent goal line clearance from
Full back Dave Gordon kept it out. On 37 minutes Lyons doubled their lead
good work from Capper and Price and Danny Craggs got his first goal 0-2.First
minute of the second half and Joe Walton had a great chance to put the
Lyons three up but a great save from the Brandon goalkeeper. The home side
got a goal back on 51 minutes with a quickly taken free kick while the Lyons
were arranging their wall and a minute later Hetton restored their lead, good
work from Walton and he crossed for Craggs to score 1-3. Brandon kept on
pushing forward and Gavin Mudd scored on the hour mark 2-3. The
Lyons scored in the 83rd minute a brilliant cross field pass from
Griffiths found Craggs he the side stepped the defender and his shot wide of
the goalkeeper and in to the net to complete his hat
trick 2-4. Minutes Later Craggs down the right hand side crossed
for Joe Walton to get his well deserved goal 2-5. Kelloe

Mickle, then Kelloe leveled Ian Ward, then Pelton went further ahead with a
fine strike from Luke Kerry, Ian Ward added his second of the game to make it

In
the Premier Division Langley Park Steelers entertained Chester’s for the second
time in two weeks and again they lost by the same score line. Unlike the last
game the Steelers took the lead in this match with Craig Mountain heading home
a Kieran Moralee assist. Chester’s pulled the game back in their favor with a 2
- 1 lead before Craig Thompson leveled for the Steelers when he converted Liam
Burn's cross. With 20 minutes to go the visitors won the match 3-2.Washington

Division
One leaders Coxhoe WMC kept up their promotion challenge with a fine 7-2 away
win at Houghton Mill All Stars. Colin Young gave Coxhoe an early lead hitting
the ball into the corner of the net away from the arms of outstretched keeper
Dan Pearson. Mill quickly equalized with a Joe Mence curling free kick from
twenty yards out. Young scored again and Michael Owens beat Pearson from close
range for 3-1 to Coxhoe. A long kick out from Mill keeper Pearson bounced off
the back of a Coxhoe defender deceiving keeper Tom Orton for 3-2 at the half
time break.A badly timed tackle from Mill's Liam Mence gave Coxhoe a penalty
kick and Colin Young stepped up to grab his hat trick. On the hour mark Young
netted his fourth, Mill's Sean Clinton then gave away a further penalty which
Michael Owens dispatched perfectly. Owens grabbed another five minutes from
time for a 7-2 victory. Washington Victoria were 2-0 home winners over Chester
Hilda Park. Sacriston wms Traveled to Sedge field to Play Netpark. It was Sacriston
who started the better side, getting the ball down and creating several
chances. But slowly Net Park got back into the game, using their height
advantage all over the park to good effect, several saves from the Sacriston
keeper kept the score to 0-0 at half time. Sacriston started the 2nd half
better with Net Park still bombarding the defense with high ball. Ben Sanderson
broke free from several challenges and managed to slip the ball passed the Net
Park keeper, only for the ball to hit the post roll along the goal line and hit
the other post then go over the line. To make it 1-0 to the visitors, Sacriston
caught Net Park on the break several times only for the keeper to pull of some
great stops. Sacriston continued to cope well with the aerial threat and saw
the game out to collect all 3 points Not many chances in the first half but
Netpark had the best one when Martin Broom lobbed Potts in the Sacriston goal
but he pulled off a fantastic save to keep the scores level at the break
0-0.Second half was again tight but Sacristion took the lead after a burst from
midfield their lad went passed three players before his shot hit both posts and
went in 0-1.Netpark were guilty of missing chances with Potts excellent in
goal, Sacriston were had a few chances on the break as Netpark were pushing for
the equalizer that didn't come, final score 0-1.Washington Cross Keys shared
the points with visitors Burnside Wmc in an entertaining encounter at Glebe
Park. Burnside started well but against the run of play the Keys took the lead
with a powerful David Lyle header of a Gary Allen corner. Almost immediately
from the restart Burnside equalizes. A long ball into the box found Burnsides
Carl Finch unmarked and with little trouble headed the ball home. Burnsides dominance
continued for the remainder of the first half and a well taken Craig Ellison
free kick deservedly give them lead going into the half time break. The second
half was a different affair with the Cross Keys dominating. After having two
good penalty shouts ignored it looked like the Keys were going to get no reward
but with five minutes remaining David Lyall was again on hand to score from a corner
kick sweeping the ball home from a narrow angle.
Chester
Plough Inn made the short trip to Rainton in a second division fixture and ran
out comfortable 6-1 winners thanks to goals from Ben Lloyd (2) Sam Baddams (2)

comfortable win at home to West Rainton FC. James Smith scored two well taken
goals to put Fram 2-0 ahead but Rainton pulled one back late on to give a 2-1
scoreline. After a week off Pelaw Grange Dogs FC came into this home game
against High Handen Bird Inn fc eager to win .The Bird were lively down the right
and put some good crosses in that came to nothing. Pelaw Grange Dogs fc then
saw Marc Wood break into the Bird box and was brought down for a penalty that
Neil Worley slotted home after 18 minutes. 10 minutes later the Bird drew level
with a good cross and header into Pelaws goal to make it 1all. This only last a
few minutes though as Marc Wood dummied and shrugged off a couple of tackles
and then shot with his right into the back of the net. Not long before half
time Chris Hawkins made it 3 - 1 for the dogs and the Bird were rattled. In the
second half Pelaw Grange Dogs FC dominated and it wasn't surprising they went 4
-1 up with another goal by Chris Hawkins. Chester Cricket Club hosted New
Brancepeth Wmc, New Brancepeth Wmc coming out on top with a 4-1 victory, Andrew
Willcock scoring the Cricketers' consolation goal. Chester Red Line and

at Pittington Fc
In
the Fourth Division Quarrington Hill Wmc Traveled to Washington New Tavern
Credit to both teams and the referee for their contribution to a cracking game
of football. Conditions and pitch were excellent and both teams played good
football in a competitive sporting game. Washington took the lead and had the
lions share of possession and chances, many of which they failed to convert. It
was no surprise when they doubled their lead. But a spirited fight back from Q
Hill, who had missed a few chances of their own and seen the Tavern keeper pull
off some superb saves, got the score back to 2-2 with goals from Jeff Dean and
Alan Tingley. Q Hill then made it 3-2, Jeff Dean netting his second of the
game. But a correctly awarded penalty late on was converted, after a double
save from Q Hill keeper and MOM Dan Beanery, to make it 3-3Langley Park Rams
Head continued the early season form with a good home win against
Kelloe Davy Lamp.Kelloe had the best of the opening 30 minutes, then Langley
got going and got a penalty after 30 minutes when Rutter was fouled, Steven Mikel
took it but missed with a fine save of the keeper and went for a corner but
Langley scored of the corner with Steven Cummings blasting in from close range,
Langley then went further ahead after 38 mins when Bussey shot and keeper and
he could only save and ball went into Tony Rutters feet and he put ball in,
Kelloe scored with last kick in the first half from a corner so promised to be
an open second half.Langley then went further ahead afer 50 minutes with david
mcguire scoring from a corner in a goalmouth scramble, Langley just upped game
after that and four from Anthony Bussey on 58, 75,81 and 88 minutes.Washington
Honest Boy entertained Ferry hill Dynamo’s ,The Honest Boy took the lead
followed by a well worked goal from the Dynamoes.A ball laid off by Dale Aunger
to Liam Armstrong who beat a man turned and shot from 18 yards into the bottom
corner before half time. After the break the Dynamo’s took the lead a cross
from Aunger, Peareth took a touch and shot from 20 yards putting it in the
bottom corner, the honest boy equalized in a fairly even game. final score
2-2.An under strength Witton Gilbert Wmc side missing Scott Embleton ,
Ben Morgan and Ritchie Eland , entertained Bishop Middle ham Fc ,Witton gave a
good account of themselves in the first half and went 1 up with a thunderous
strike from 28 yards by Man of the Match Mark Burden. The second half was an
even encounter in which Witton lost their way a little and some good team play
from Bishop saw them draw level within 10 minutes of the half. Another good strike
from Burden put Witton back in front but then naïve defending saw them concede
a further 2 goals to lose the game 2-3.

New Durham
wmc entertained Burnmoor jnrs and scored 7 with a hatrick from mom Graeme
Brinkley and 2 from Mark Wild, 1 from Andrew Ward, and 1 from sub Gavin Joyce,
Burnmoor took the lead after mistake from Durham keeper but soon leveled
through a 40 yard screamer from Andrew Ward and there after Durham were in control
of the game, credit to Burnmoor who never stopped working for each other could
luck to them for the rest of the season. Houghton Chilton Lodge appeared to be
coasting to a comfortable against visitors Lumley Fc courtesy of goals from
Mark Thirkell, and a fifteen yard volley from man of the match Jonathon fox
putting them into a two nil lead. Lumley had other ideas however and rocked
Chilton Lodge with a three goal burst in ten minutes. Gavin Tate rescued
Chilton equalizing from the spot with five minutes left forcing the game into
extra time. Lumley quickly regained the lead to make it 4-3, only for Gavin
Tait to equalize again from the spot following a foul on Jonathon Fox. A Shaun
Smith cross was turned in by Mark Thirkell to edge Chilton into a 5-4 lead and
an epic game was wrapped up when Gavin Tate completed his hat-trick to make it
6-4 to Chilton.
Jd Taxis 3rd Round
Sacriston
Cricket Club entertained Ouston Fc, Sacriston controlled the first half with
Gary Draper nearly scored on 3 minutes when he tried a outside of the foot
curler from 20 yards which went just wide. For the rest of the first half our
stand in keeper Robert Nixon's goal was never troubled and we had all the
possession. James Thornton was in the thick of the action and went close with a
couple of free kicks and his corners were causing trouble but we were not
making the most of his excellent delivery. Although the Cricketers had much of
the play their passing at times was awful and we were not making the most of
the possession that they had.
The course of the game changed on 48 minutes when a speculative shot from Ouston was palmed out by Nixon in the Sacriston goal and the rebound fell straight to an unmarked Ouston forward who then finished an easy chance to make it 1-0. The equalizer came 11 minutes from time when some good passing in and around the Ouston penalty area resulted in Collinson playing in Coates who had plenty of time to pick his spot and he put the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 1-1. After having gone close several times before Hunter couldn't have picked a better time for his first goal when he finished coolly with a left footed shot following Kevin Coates pass in injury time to win the game for the cricketers After that in injury time Ouston committed every man forward but lost the ball and we counter attacked and Grant Boyd got all the way into the box before being brought down by the Ouston goalkeeper to get us a stonewall penalty. Gary Draper kept his cool to score the penalty putting the ball into the bottom left hand corner to take his tally to 11 for the season and ensure our place in the last 8 of the guard’s cup.

in the 87th min to rap up the match.
Washington
JFC traveled to Coundon to play the Foresters, In a Very good game two teams
trying to play football, both teams had chances and the H/T score 0-0 was a
fair result. After the break JFC had more of the ball and were definitely the
stronger team in the 2nd half this paid dividends when Coundon`s keeper brought
down a JFC forward in the box, PENALTY and Vincent scored his sixth spot kick
of the campaign with Aplomb sending the keeper the wrong way, 1-0, as the home
side pressed for an equalizer WJFC broke from defense and a through ball from Macadam
put Miller through from his own half and no one was going to catch him, he
finished the move with a low right foot strike into the far corner of the goal
2-0 jfc and with only a minute left that was good night ViennaSedgefield St
Edmunds were 2-0 home winners over Bishop Auckland Social,Ferryhill Saints were
