Sports score 5 at Chesters

Premier Division
In the Leagues Premier Division Brandon Sports travelled to Chester le Street to play The Chester’s  Fc, In a game affected by the wind Chester’s made the most of the elements and Brandon’s makeshift goalkeeper by taking a 3-0 lead in half an hour, with 3 well taken goals. Brandon deservedly pulled 2 goals back at the end of the half through Hanson and Eilles.Playing with the wind in the 2nd half Brandon edged the play, scoring 3 without reply; Mudd (pen), Blades with a 30 yard free kick and Hanson again.Pelton Roab were 5-0 winners over visitors Washington Chevies thanks to a Hat Trick from Kerry 3 and one each for Ritchie and Mansfield
First Division
In division one Houghton Mill All Stars fought back from behind to beat Sacriston WMC 3-2. Sacriston took the lead on twenty five minutes when an attempted clearance by Mill's Chris Rogerson was closed down for
David Winter to knock home. Mill equalised ten minutes later when a Nick Thompson quick throw in allowed Shaun Corner to run at goal and shoot past keeper Bryan Potts. In the second half Liam Summers restored Sacriston's lead heading in from a corner kick but Mill came back again when Chris Lund won the ball on the half way line and made a neat pass to Nick Thompson on the left wing, Thompson ran towards goal and blasted the ball across the goalmouth for Shaun Corner to hammer it into the
net.Mill's winning goal came on seventy eight minutes when a Joe Mence corner kick was cruelly headed into his own goal by a Sacriston defender. Gilesgate Moor Queens Head were 3-1 home winners over Chester Hilda Park and Sedgefield Social were 2-0 Home winners over Washington Victoria.

Second Division
Chester Plough Inn beat Ushaw Moor Cricket Club in a tight game at the Riverside. The Plough took the lead through Mark Atchison early in the 2nd half but Ushaw equalised with ten minutes to go. Dean Cooper came off the bench to score a stunning winner from 25 yards out to make the Final score 2-1 to the Plough.
Shadforth Plough kept their best ever league form going as they made it 4 wins on the bounce in the home game against Esh Winning Cricket Club, unbeaten in the last 5, and still unbeaten at home in the league, but they did this one the hard way and left it to the last kick off the game to seal the victory, this certainly was a game of 2 halves, no goals coming in the first, and all seven landing after half time. The Visitors where 2 up after 10 minutes in the second half, a great individual effort from Stephen Maddox pulled one back, only for the visitors to open up a two goal advantage after some sloppy defending, Joe Simpson pulled Shadforth back into it with another piece of individual skill, Ryan Ascherl was sent through and tucked it under the keeper to level at 3-3, with both teams searching for a winner, Ascherl slipped a ball through the visitors defense, allowing Simpson the chance to win the game, he took it well and give the Plough another victory. A poor performance from the home team, but they still managed to gain the 3 points. Bede Lodge entertained Washington Lambton Village Inn.Bede Lodge scored early goals through John Humberstone and Mark McKenzie to lead 2-0.  Washington responded and ended the first half leading the game 3-2.  Washington continued where they left off in the first half and extended their lead to 9-2.  Late goals from Mark McKenzie and Duncan Turnbull reduced the deficit for Bede Lodge to make the final score 9-4 to Washington. 
Third Division
Dubmire Wmc Traveled To New Brancepeth Wmc This Was Always Going To Be A Close Encounter,But With Terrible Windy Conditions It Was New Brancepeth That Took The Lead Going Against The Wind,Dubmire Had New Brancepeth Pinned Back And Scored The Equaliser,Both Sides Had Numerous Chances To Go In front And Kill The Game, But It Was Dubmire Who Cam Out On Top And Gave New Brancepeth Their 2nd League DefeatChester Cricket Club travelled to Pittington in division 3 and came away with a 6-0 victory. A scrappy and even first half saw the away team take the lead through Darren Redfearn to go in at half time 1-0 up. The second half was a much more one-sided affair with Chester CC scoring a further five through an Andrew Willcock hat trick and a goal apiece from Ashley Balfour and Jon Haggerty.Chester St Cuthbert’s were 4-1 winners at Lumley Fc. Framwellgate Moor Wmc  Travelled To  Adventure Lane To Play West Rainton Fc , A First Half With The Visitors Playing Into The Very Strong Wind, Going In At Half Time 0-0, West Rainton Took A Deserved Lead On The Hour Mark When Ian Brown Fired Into The Net After A Ball Over The Top Of The Framwellgate Moor Defence, Framwellgate Moor  levelled on 83 Mins, Mark Passmore Sent The Ball Long From A Goal Kick For  Paul Carrahar To Head On Alan  Smith Was Through To Lob Over There Keeper, To make the Final score 1-1

Fourth Division
In the Fourth Division Ferryhill  Dynamoes unbeaten league run comes to an abrubt end after losing 4-0 to washington jays. In an even windswept 1st half Jays took the lead through Adam Hill. Jays pushed 2-0 up through Karl Graham midway into the 2nd half . Great wing play in the final 20 mins resulted in a further 2 goals to jays through Alex Whitcombe who notched twice.Witton Gilbert Wmc entertained  The AvenueA game that was in part ruined by gale force winds was settled in the first 30 minutes with Witton scoring 4 times through Jake Welch (2)  Dean Elder and Peter Maughan.The second half was a bit of a non event with both sides battling hard against the elements and there was no further addition to the score.Langley Park Rams Head  Kept There Unbeaten League Form Intact But Only Just In Very Windy Conditions At Washington Honest Boy. Langley Had Couple Of Regular Players Missing And Two Weeks Of Extra Time Cup Game Must Of Caught Up With Langley. Washington Started The Better And Were Keeping Langley Back 5 Busy , Langley Were Not Creating Anything, Wind Didn’t Help As Ball Kept Blowing All Over Place.Langey Took Lead Just Before Time When Ball Was Played Into Steven Cummings After A Free Kick Goal Mouth Scramble And He Slotted It In.Langely Took A While Again To Get Going In Second Half But After 55 Minutes Langley Started To Play There Normal Football And Washington Keeper Made Some Good Saves,Washington Had Coulpe Of Chances And Simon Huscroft Made Some Good Saves For Langley. Langey Then Went Further Ahead After 78 Minutes A Cross And Steven Cummings Hit Post And Came Back Into Him And Scored.Game Was Going Quiet Now Into The Last minute the Honest Boy pulled a goal back to make the Final score 1-2.Burnmoor  Jfc Visited Pity Me Lambton Hounds  Today To Play A Battle Of Two Halves Both Teams Were Never Going To Give Up Resulting In A 4 V 4 Draw With Two Goals A Piece From Both Strikers Lee Gaunt And Carl Tingley Of Burnmoor J.F.C. A cracking local derbyQuarrington Hill Wmc entertaining Kelloe Davy Lamp , where both teams did their best to play decent football despite the very windy conditions. Kelloe took the lead after just 5 minutes, starting the better of the two teams and getting to grips with the conditions better. Kelloe had good spells of pressure with Q Hill on the back foot for much of the half, but a goal from Jeff Dean, after a good run an cool finish made it 1-1 at half time.Second half was more even, but another goal from Jeff Dean, his 5th in 2 games, gave Q Hill the lead. Kelloe pressed throughout and the game could have gone either way, but an own goal on 70 minutes made it 3-1 to the Q's.
Durham Football Association County Cup 2nd
Hetton Lyons Cricket Club romped in to the next round of the cup with a good win in a wind swept game at Wingate Fc. Warren Byrne scored two goals in the space of four minutes, Chris Hunter worked the ball well down the right hand side and his cross to Byrne who duly scored next a ball from Keith Graydon to Joe Walton who outpaced the defender and his cross to Byrne who side stepped the defender to score. The Lyons kept the pressure on and in the 40th minute from a short corner Chris Bell nipped inside the defender and his shot gave the goalkeeper no chance 0-3.Chris Hunter opened his account in the second half with a ferocious shot that the goalkeeper could only get his finger tips too and in to the net 0-4. Wingate got a consolation goal in the 62nd minute but the Lyons soon replied a minute later, a brilliant ball from Bell up the right to Steve Capper and his strike with his left foot gave the keeper no chance 1-5. Warren Byrne was denied his hat trick minutes later a great shot hit the bar and came down behind the goal line but the referee wasn't in a position to give it. Keith Graydon made it 1-6 in the 75th minute when his long range shot went under the diving goalkeeper’s body and a minute later substitute Kyle Davis wrapped it up with a well taken good goal after a great through ball from Nicky Kane. The wind was wild put the Lyons tamed it and played some good football  .Kicking against a gale force wind Chilton Wmc  at Middlestone Moor Mason Arms , found it hard to get the ball forward to the front men, Moor took the lead with a free kick from 20yds in the 20th min.Chilton went looking for a leveler and were caught out again in the 49th min to go 2 down, but pulled 1 back through Joe Cornbill,and Martin Houlahan scored the games best goal from fully 30yds with a fantastic strike into the top corner to level at 2-2.Then Chilton went to 10 men when they lost a player for two yellows, it was backs to the wall now, and tired to allow Moor to score 3 times in extra-time result 5-2.Holders Of The Trophy Kelloe Wmc Traveled To Fellow Durham Sunday League Side Washington Cross Keys,Kelloe Progressed To the Third Round of the County Cup with A Comfortable 0-5 Win at Washington Cross Keys. The Keys Created The Early Chances, Ross Docherty Had The Best Effort But Kelloe Keeper Saved Well. Mid-Way Through The First Half Kelloe Take Command With Two Goals In As Many Minutes, Chris Smith And Kieran Megran The Scorers. On The Stroke Of Half Time John Dury Made It Three Nil. The Keys Who Had Played Good Attacking Play Throughout Had Their County Cup Campaign Brought To An End With Second Half Goals From John Dury And Neil Charlton.Two Goals each for Andy Beamson and John Maddison gave Sedgefield st Edmunds a home win over Winlaton Commercial. Houghton Comrades entertained Easington HMS, Game spoilt by wind and a nasty injury to Coms keeper Nikki Lawson, game suspended for 35 mins when paramedics and air ambulance attended to him, Three second Half Goals gave the visitors victory.Langley Park Wmc beat visitors Hartlepool Rovers 1-0, and in another all Durham League Tie Newton Aycliffe Wmc were 3-2 winners at Sacriston Cricket Club.

Pelaw Grange Dogs  entertained Ferryh Saints , Pelaw went behind from a long throw in that was helped by the wind into the penalty box and failed to clear it, leaving Ferryhill to hit the ball home. Andrew Tippins then won a penalty for Pelaw and Neil Worley cooly scored to make it 1-1. Ferryhill Saints wnet 2-1 up before Chris Hawkins made it 2-2 for the Pelaw Grange Dogs Fc and it looked to be going to stay that way for half time but two defensive errors saw them go in 4-2 down. After the interval the Dogs pulled one back from Neil Worley to make it 4-3 but seemed to be lacking the spark to score the another and it ended 4-3 to the saints. Paul hargreaves had made several good runs from right back throughout the game and had put some excellent crosses into the box and was awarded the man of the match..In the Quarter Finals of  the Competition Ouston Fc were 5-3 winners at The Bird Inn and New Durham Wmc  were 2-1 winners at Chilton Lodge.

FA Sunday Cup 2nd Round

FA Sunday Cup 2nd Round
Hetton Lyons Cricket Club had to work for the full 90 minutes for this win against an excellent Fforde Grene side. The Lyons started off the better side and in the second minute the Lyons Captain Daniel Moore saw his header well saved by the visiting goalkeeper, Fforde Grene had a great chance to opening the scoring but the strikers shot went high over the crossbar, minutes later the Lyons hit the bar with a close range shot from Moore. Forde Grene took the lead in the 33rd minute Sheriffe picked the ball up from the midfield ran to the right and his tremendous shot gave the Lyons goalkeeper no chance 0-1.This young Lyons side didn't let their heads drop and got back on level terms four minutes later, Griffiths played a ball up the right and Bullford chasing it got the ball before the advancing goalkeeper he crossed it and Danny Craggs smashed the ball in to the net 1-1.Second half and Andrew Bullford almost put the Lyons in the lead but his shot went agonizing wide of the post with the goalkeeper well beaten. In the 50th minute the Lyons did take the lead, a short pass from Price to Danny Craggs and he hit the ball from 30 yards giving the goalkeeper no chance 2-1. Fforde Grene almost equalized a minute later, a free kick from just outside the penalty area and the Lyons goalkeeper Keith Finch made a superb save as the ball was heading for the top left of the goal and again a free kick minutes later from about the same area this time Finch pushed the ball around the bottom of the right hand post. Fforde Grene kept pushing for the second goal but The Lyons were solid in defence and gave them very few opportunities. Full time 2-1 a great game of football
Kelloe Wmc Traveled To Skelmersdale in Their tie in the Fa Sunday Cup to Play Eden Vale. Kelloe Dominated The Early Stages With The Vale Keeper Pulling 2 Outstanding Saves Off To Prevent Poole And Graham From Opening The Scoring!! Vale Then Took The Lead Against The Run Of Play With A Fine Snapshot!! Kelloe Equalized Just Before the Break When the Keeper Could Only Parry Megrans Shot to Poole Who Smashed It Home! After The Break, Kelloe Sub Thompson Came On To Loop A Header Over The Vale Keeper To Take The Lead But Then Vale Equalized With 15 Mins Remaining With A Well-Taken Header To Force Extra Time! Kelloe Regained The Lead Just Before The Break When Megran Reacted Well After Poole's Deflected Shot To Slot Home. With Vale Pushing On Late, Kelloe Took Advantage When The Vale Keeper Went Up For A Corner, Gibson And Johnson Broke In A 2 V 1 Situation Which Ended Up With Johnson Rolling Home Into To an empty net. Alan Smith Trophy Quarter Final
In the Quarter Final of the Alan Smith Trophy, Langley Park Rams Head traveled to Ferryhill to play the Saints. In a very entertaining game the scores level at 3-3 at 90 minutes and 5-5 at the end of extra time, Langley’s sorer in regulation time Steven Cummings, Tony Rutter and Anthony Bussey.In the extra Time period Langley were twice behind but goals from Steven Cummings and Tony Rutter leveled the scores at 5-5 after extra Time sending the tie into Penalties. The Saints making the most of the penalties winning 6-5
Pass and Go League Cup Quarter Final
Washington JFC entertained Brandon Sports for the 2nd time in as many weeks in the Quarter Final of the Pass and go League Cup, Brandon were the better side from the start and took the lead when Michael Fort had a free header 6yds out in the 20th minute, Washington responded by creating a few half chances, but never really troubled Colin Myers in goal for Brandon. It was Brandon that found the net again with Scott Bryden glancing in a header at the front post. Brandon then added a third early in the second half, Fort following in on a half saved free kick to grab his second of the game. , JFC got their only goal of the game from a penalty kick with Vincent sending the Brandon keeper the wrong way to score his 7th penalty goal of the season, Brandon 3-1 F/T.
JD Taxis Guards Cup 3rd Round
Chester Cricket Club entertained New Durham Wmc for this cup tie. It was a good cup game Chester Cricket Club took the lead 10 mins into the second half, but New Durham leveling through Mark Wild with 20 mins to go, the score at 90 Minutes was 1-1 sending the tie into extra Time; The Stronger New Durham side took control and scored 3 goals to win the game 4-1
Premier Division
New comers to the Premier Division Langley Park Steelers suffered their biggest ever Defeat ,They were visitors at Sedgefield Community Centre to Play Sedge field st Edmunds, In a very One sided game the Steelers lost 9-0. The scorers for Sedgefield John Cook 2,Ben Smith 2,John Maddison 2 ,and one each from  Brian Fairhurst (Pen) Eddie Johnson and Liam Parsons. Pelton Roab were 5-0 home winners over Langley Park Wmc thanks to goals from Anthony Davison 3, and one each for Carl Ritchie and Craig Mickle..Houghton Comrades and visitors Newton Ayclffe Wmc shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
First
Sacriston Cricket Club entertained Chilton Wmc in this first Division Game. The first 30 minutes of the game Sacriston were on top without creating any clear cut chances but we still nearly conceded first when we got caught by a swift counter attack and the Chilton forward hit the post with his shot. Then on 31 minutes Kevin Coates gave the Cricketers the lead, when following Graeme Embleton's corner the Chilton keeper couldn't get hold of the ball and Kevin Coates smashed home the loose ball from close range. Chilton Wmc leveled just a minute later when Joe Cornbill was brought down in the box; Dayle Taylor hammered the ball home from the spot. To make it 1-1. This stayed the same until Half Time. Sam Renwick had the first chance of the 2nd half for the Cricketers when he powered through the Chilton defense and struck a volley just wide. 10 minutes into the 2nd half the Cricketers  started to put Chilton under pressure and had the best period of the game having 4 corners in a row which resulted in some good chances and the Chilton keeper pulled off some great saves. It took a moment of magic to finally get ahead and that came from the feet yet again off Gary Draper who picked the ball up in the midfield area and he dribbled past 3 Chilton players right up to the edge of the box before striking a brilliant left foot shot right into the bottom corner for his 13th goal of the season. This lifted the Cricketers and 2 minutes later they scored again when Gary Draper played the ball into Graeme Embleton on the edge of the box and he planted a brilliant left foot volley which powered over the Chilton keeper and underneath the crossbar to give the cricketers a 3-1 lead, this stayed the same until full time. Burnside Wmc lost 3-0 at Washington Victoria. Coxhoe Wmc maintained top spot with a 2-0 home win over Gilesgate  Moor Queens Head..Sedgefield Netpark were 2-1 home winners over Chester Hilda Park,. Washington Cross Keys were comfortable 8-2 winners at home to Houghton Mill All Stars. However, Washington got off to a slow start and duly trailed 2-0 after only twenty minutes when David Hall smashed the ball home for from ten yards out before Shaun Corner doubled Mill's lead.But once Washington scored their first goal they took complete control of the game - Chris Morrison scored two and Steven Crame another for a 3-2 lead at half time. Gary Allen netted a second half hat trick and Chris Morrison scored histhird followed by a Ross Docherty goal for 8-2. Gary Allen shone for Washington whilst Shaun Corner was Mill's man of the match.
Second Division
Chester Plough Inn won comfortably at home to Esh Winning Cricket Club thanks to a Gary McIlduff hat trick and further goals from Daniel Hill, Mark Atchison, Chris Cuthbertson, Nathan Baddams, Michael Dawson and a Chris Dodd’s own goal. Esh Winning scored two superb consolation goals. Bede Lodge entertained Sherburn Lambton Arms; Sherburn took the lead in the first half and then scored another 2 during the first 20 minutes of the second half. Chris Vaughan scored a consolation goal for Bede Lodge with 15 minutes left. Washington Lambton Arms shared the Points in a 1-1 draw at Ushaw Moor Cricket Club. Shadforth Plough Inn entertained Ouston Fc, the first 20 Minutes of the First half were   Dominated by Shadforth, Jack Moore opened the scoring with a great team effort, Steve Coxon, Steve Clifford, all linked up to put give Moore the chance, the home side seemed to take the foot of the gas and allowed the visitors a way back into the game, a well taken goal by Kris Lawton leveled the game, the visiting team went on to dominate the last 20 minutes of the first half.
Second half
started, it was an even contest right through, the game needed a bit of magic to win it, Joe Simpson provided it with a brilliant strike from 25 yards, Man of the match for the home team to give Shadforth the points in a fine 2-1 win. Houghton Cilton Lodge Lost  2-1 at East Rainton Fc.
Third Division
Bowburn Fc traveled to Dubmire wmc for this Third Division Game, A game between 2 strong teams.Dubmire hit the bar when James Thompson was put through by Alan Donkin .A header by Joe Jobling was headed off the line 5 mins later as Dubmire threatened the Bowburn goal .Bowburn took the lead with a penalty after only 9 minutes through a penalty for hand ball top scorer Ray Pirt scoring
Dubmire were creating problems still and hit the post with another header .Bowburn FC broke and Pirt  was upended in the box for another penalty .Pirt again took the kick ,John smith the Dubmire Keeper made an outstanding save to keep the score 0 - 1 at half time.
Dubmire came out an pinned Bowburn back for 20 mins
without scoring .Andy Robinson header should have been the equalizer but he somehow headed wide with the goal gaping .Pirt scored Bowburns to make it 2 nil .Dubmire replied through Donkin, who finished off a well worked move .Despite the last 10 mins being played in Bowburns penalty box Dubmire just couldn’t get the equalizer they deserved and suffered their 1st league defeat of the season. A good win for Chester  Red Lion who bossed the game from start to finish at the Bird Inn. The Lion winning 5-0.Lumley Fc entertained Framwellgate Moor Wmc, all Goals For Framwellgate Moor Coming In First Half With A Excellent Hatrick By James Smith And A Headed Goal By Ian Fields, . Lumley fc Scored with 15 mins left in the second half. Game played in fog to make the Final score 4-1 to Framwellgate Moor Wmc. Goals from George Wilkinson, Craig Hindmarch,Mike Hughes and Two from Adam Purvis gave  New Brancepeth Wmc a 5-1 home win over Chester St Cuthbert’s Social.West Rainton Fc won 6-1 at Pittington Fc.
Fourth Division
The Avenue Shincliffe entertained Quarrington Hill Wmc, A game much closer than the scoreline would suggest. Quarrington Hill took an early lead after 6 minutes through Jeff Dean. This sparked a spell of good pressure and only good defending and saves from young keeper Jordan Nicholson kept the lead intact. This allowed Quarrington Hill l to extend the lead on 24 minutes through Chris Taylor. The second half saw Shincliffe again playing some good football but 2 more goals from Jeff Dean, completing his hat trick, and a late goal from Allan Tingley sealed the win 5-0 win for Quarrington Hill.Washington Jays traveled to Pity Me to play the Fox and Hounds,A Clean Sheet For Pity Me But Only Two Goals Which Is A Shame Because During The First Half Pity Me Created Chance After Chance With Some Great Football Been Played Along The Way. Washington Struggled To Cope With The Pace Of Goalscorers Dave Grindley And John. Lane Down The Left Flank But As With The Season So Far The Finish Was Missing For Some Great Moves. Washington Slowly Fought Their Way Into The Game But Never Troubled A Solid Looking Back 5. The Second Half Was A Little More Even But Again Pity Me's Goal Keeper Steve. Comby Was Never In Any Trouble As The Game Began To Die Out Pity Me Took Control And Started Keeping Possession. A Good 2-0 Win That Was Well Deserved. In A Fairly Even First Half Ferryhill Dynamos Took The Lead Against Visitors Witton Gilbert Wmc From A Daniel Roth Well Headed Corner,Witton Gilbert Equalized Before The Dynamos Scored A Sublime Goal As Vinny Gash Went Past One Defender Another Dived In As Gash Dragged Back And Stroked The Ball Into The Top Corner. After Half Time Witton Gilbert Again Equalized Before Gash Scored Again For The Dynamos After Good Work From Richy Peareth To Make A Tap In For Gash. Dan Roth Well Got His Second From Close Range And Then Completed His First Ever Hat Trick After He Latched On To A Throw In To Go Through And Beat The Keeper. Witton Gilbert Battled Hard To Get Another Goal But Was All In Vain, As The Dynamo’s Won 5-3.Washington New Tavern won 6-1 at the Honest Boy.

Megrans three sinks Chevies

In the Premier Division  Second Bottom Kelloe Wmc traveled to bottom club Washington to play Chevies, This before next weeks trip to Liverpool for the FA Sunday Cup. A big game with Kelloe and Chevies both looking to move away from the Relegation zone.  It  Kelloe who  eased to a 7 - 1 win with goals from Kieran Megran (3), Jake Johnson, Dean Smithson, Hal Graham and James Oates.This Leaves Chevies rooted at the bottom of the League. Third from Bottom Washington Jfc travelled to Langley park for this Premier league encounter against the Steelers, the away side dominated the first half creating many good chances and got their 1-0 half time lead when a through ball sent Miller clear, he rounded the keeper to side foot into an empty net.It was a different story in the 2nd half Steelers grew in confidence and put JFC under a lot of pressure their best chance fell to their right winger who was through on goal only to see Smithy the jfc keeper make an excellent save from his well hit shot.The game was put beyond doubt in the last minute when a great passing move down the left found Richard M`acadam who fired in from 10 yards 2-0 JFC full time. Third Placed Houghton Comrades were at Brandon Sports, Brandon applied early pressure and won a penalty after Michael Fort was brought down in the box. Fort himself took and missed the penalty, dragging it wide. Houghton slowly got in to the game and took the lead making the most of their penalty kick. Brandon equalised through Tony Hanson,. Houghton then restored their lead from a free header in the box. Michael Fort himself scored a header to level the game again, and at this stage there only looked like one winner, Brandon. However, Houghton's lively striker always posed a threat. Hanson, Brandon's MOM, then bagged his brace with a superb strike from a tight angle. Poor defending then allowed Houghton an easy, although well taken equaliser. Despite Brandon's late pressure Houghton held on for a 3-3 draw.
First Division
League Leaders Coxhoe Wmc traveled to Sedgefield Net Park, returning 5-0 winners despite having Dave Taylor sent Of.Houghton Mill All Stars and Sacriston Cricket Club played out a thrilling 2-2 draw. Mill took the lead after 25 minutes when Chris Rogerson played a wonderful pass down the left wing to James Morrison who then fed Shaun Corner who turned and shot from eighteen yards out into the far corner of the net. Sacriston keeper Marc Hall then deprived Morrison from putting Mill further ahead when he made a spectacular one handed save forcing the ball over the bar after good work down the right from Liam Mence. Sacriston hit an equalizer five minutes into the second half when Daniel O'Brien knocked home from close range following a corner kick. But Mill hit back shortly afterwards when a Liam Mence low right wing cross was neatly controlled by Nick Thompson who then blasted past keeper Hall. Sam Renwick then struck the post for Sacriston and a Max Stoker free kick rebounded off the cross bar for Mill. With fifteen minutes remaining a James Thornton header levelled the game.Chris Rogerson was man of the match for Mill whilst Sacriston keeper Marc Hall's wonderful save made him their star man.In a pulsating Division one encounter Washington Cross Keys and Hilda Park shared the points with a 3-3 draw. Hilda Park took the lead three times but a resilient Cross Keys came back each time. Chris Duke opened the scoring for Hilda Park from the penalty spot but within minutes the Keys hit back through Ross Docherty. Danny Bushy restores Hilda Parks lead with a fine individual effort but once again the Keys strike back almost immediately with a Daz Green Header. give Hilda Park a 2-3 lead at half time. The Cross Keys press forward hard in the second half to earn a share of the points with a Carlo Barrass effort. Bottom Club Sedgefield Social lost 3-2 at Washington Victoria; Gilesgate Queens Head entertained Sacriston Wmc, it was the Home side  that started the better of the two sides, but when Sacriston changed formation to match them the game evened out. Sacriston scored first when David Winter headed home from close range. Half time 1-0 Sacriston scored the 2nd after some good play down the right by Craig Wheeldon, the ball was crossed into Tom Winter who took 1 touch then turned and placed the ball in the corner from 12 yards. Sacriston then added a 3rd when Ryan Nicholson broke free from several challanges and tucked the ball into the net. Sacriston then sat back and allowed Gilesgate back in to the game, Potts was called on to make several saves, including one from a penalty. Gilesgate managed to score two goals and were looking for an equaliser but Sacriston managed to hang on for the 3 points.
Second Division
Shadforth Plough hosted Sherburn Lambton Arms in this local derby, The Lambton Arms currently lying second in the Division; Shadforth opened the scoring through Jack Moore, after a great ball by Stephen Maddox which split the away defense. The visitors would pull level later in the first half. Some great work by Jack Jones down the left, he shrugged his man off with ease, cut the ball back for Stephen Maddox who wasn’t missing this chance, the Plough would hold on for the 3 points thanks to some great goal keeping by the stand in Ian Price he made a brave one on one stop, and also made possibly save of the season, a shot from Sherburn's striker was destined for the top corner, but somehow he managed to tip it over the bar, Man of the Match Ryan Ascherl.Score 2-1 to the Plough. Ouston Fc were 2-1 home winners over Washington Lambton Village Inn.Esh Winning Cricket Club lost 4-2 at East Rainton Fc, Ushaw Moor Cricket Club and visitors Durham Bede Lodge shared the Points in a 1-1 draw.
Third Division
League Leaders Framwellgate Moor Wmc entertained the Bird Inn, Fram winning 3-0 with goals coming from David Foster and a brace from Paul Smith, that’s  makes it 6 wins out of 6 in the league. Bowburn Fc traveled to Pittington to play Pittington Fc, Bowburn  won this game but made hard work against bottom of the league club Pittigton.It took 32 min to break down the Pittington defense after a hatful of chances Jack Carr braking through to score Pittington socked Bowburn and equalized after a defense mistake ht1-1.In the second half more frustration for Bowburn until the 76th minute when Ray Pirt scored with a wicked shot in the top corner but once again Pittington scored with a long shot but with minutes to go Bowburn were awarded a penalty and Ray Pirt stepped up to score the winner for Bowburn.Secon Bottopm Lumley Fc entertained  second placed New Brancepeth Wmc ,Goals from John Kidd,Craig Hindmarch and a Mark Hughes Hat Trick gave New brancepeth a 5-2 win.Chester Red Lion shared the points in a 1-1 draw at Dubmire Wmc.Chester st Cuthberts entertained West Rainton Fc and in a Very entertaining game , Cuthberts Finally won 8-6.

Carl Tingley For Burnmoor Is Subbed On Just Into The Second Half Who Scored In The First Min Of His Game Sending Burnmoor On A Goal Frenzy Simon Scott Gets A Goal From A Goal Mouth Scramble. Although Burnmoor Eased Off The Gas The Honest Boys Lost All Fight Against The Visiting Side. Ferryhill Dynamoes Traveled to Witton Gilbert Wmc ,  A tight affair the Dynamoes took the lead after a good move down the left with the ball played into the box for Liam Armstrong to place the ball in the bottom corner. After half time the Dynamoes made their lead bigger when Vinny Gash beat the offside trap rounded the keeper and slotted home for 2-0. Chester  Plough entertained Hetton Lyons Cricket Club  in the 3rd round of the Castle Insurance sponsored Alan Smith Trophy, the Plough had a excellent chance to take the lead in the first minute but the shot went wide of the post. Both keepers were kept busy in the first half but Warren Byrne broke the deadlock just before half time after some good work from Davis and Walton. Second half and the Lyons doubled their lead in the 50th minute, some excellent midfield work and Kyle Davis gave the keeper no chance with his shot 0-2. Four minutes later and the Lyons were three goals up thanks to Byrne's clinical finishing. Warren Byrne got his hat trick in the 62nd minute,a ball from Craig price and Byrne turned the defender and his shot beat the keeper 0-4. Credit to the Plough Inn they pushed the Lyons for the whole of the game and never let themselves down  
Pass and Go League Cup 3rd Round
In the Third round of the pass and Go sponsored League Cup Pelton Roab were 4-2 home winners over Ferryhill Saints, thanks to goals from Paul Freeman, Kenny Ball, Luke Kerry and Mark Peck, In an all premiership side tie Sedgefield st Edmunds traveled to Newton Aycliffe Wmc, Sedgefield applied early pressure, but Aycliffe improved as the match went on, and Ian Wright put them in front on 10 minutes. Ten minutes later Dave Brown headed in a right wing cross to level the scores. With 15 minutes left Beamson beat the last Aycliife defender to put Sedgefield 2-1 up.Aycliffe threw everything at the Sedgefield goal which was leading a charmed life, and in the final minute Griffiths scrambled the ball home to put the match into extra time. With two minutes of extra time left Sedgefield were awarded a penalty which was scored by Brian Fairhurst.Aycliffe had enough time to create another couple of chances and hit the post, but Sedgefield held on for their narrow victory.

Houghton Chilton Lodge made the short travel to Burnside Social for this Cup Tie; it was Chilton Lodge who went ahead after 15mins when a shot by Craig Johnson was turned onto the crossbar by the Burnside goal keeper for Andy Bowes to head in from close range. Burnside equalized after 33 mins when No 10? Caught Houghton on the break and shot past Houghton's keeper Graham Defty. Burnside when ahead early in the 2nd half when No 10 again scored this time from a side footed effort from close range. Gavin Tait missed a glorious opportunity to equalize for Houghton after they were awarded a penalty with 10 mins left only to miss the target, and despite a late rally from Houghton which produced several chances Burnside held on to go through to the next round.

Langley Park Rams Head traveled to Chester Le Street to play the Cricket Club the third meeting this season between these clubs and again were evenly matched. Chester started the better and scored after 4 minutes when Langley couldn’t clear the ball, Chester were better side for first 30 minutes then Langley got into the game and drew level with Anthony Bussey player Steven Cummings in who fired it in. Second half was another equal game by both sides, Langley took lead when martin bell crossed ball and keeper dropped ball into path of Bussey he scored, Chester then drew level with 15 minutes left to take game into extra time. Langley were much better side in extra time and Chester keeper made 4 good saves to keep it 2all then in last minute when looked like going to penalties Steven Cummings fired a cracking shot from 30 yards out into top corner to put Langley into next round

Graver and Freeman Hit ywo each for Buffs

Premier Division
In the Two games in the League’s Premier Division Pelton ROAB entertained Chester le Street Chester’s Goals from Michael Graver 2, Paul Freeman 2 and a fine solo effort from Carl Ritchie gave Pelton a 5-2 Home win. A magnificent hat trick by Richard Mundell was not enough to give Steelers FC a much needed victory and three points. His first levelled the game at 1-1 with his second giving us a bit of a life line when 4-1 behind. His treble was rounded off with a well taken penalty after the captain Kieron Moralee was scythed down in the box. Richard was duly awarded the MOM. Steelers 3 - 4 Chevy’s.
First Division
The Big Game of the day was the Sedgefield derby was the Social Club entertained Net Park a local derby between two clubs at the bottom of their division. No club wanted to lose this game and that reflected in a nervous and scrappy opening 20 mins. Net Park started to get the better of the game, Martin Broom putting them in front after 40mins with a simple finish. Chris Barber then had a great chance to increase Net parks lead but shot straight at the Social keeper when clean through on goal, H/T 0-1.The 2nd half again started scrappy but Social levelled the game when Mattie Grimley was allowed a free header from a free-kick that he finished well 1-1. Both teams began to gamble for the win. A through ball that should have been cleared by Net park allowed Wayne Richards to get a shot in on goal which Darren Bill saved well the loose ball fell to Blake Husband but he scuffed the rebound and put it wide.Netpark then started to get the upper hand and cause problems down the flanks, the winner came with minutes to go when Ryan Boardman was put through on the left side and he produced a fantastic finish to give all Net park all 3pts, F/T 1-2 Houghton Mill All Stars twice rallied from behind to take all three points away at Gilesgate Queens Head. In the first half Mill missed chance after chance before Gilesgate’ s Chris Brown put his team ahead on twenty minutes against the run of play. More Mill missed chances followed before David Hall blasted home an equaliser from close range on forty minutes after a Max Stoker overhead kick was parried by Gilesgate keeper Scott Williams. Gilesgate went ahead again ten minutes after the break when Matthew Bainbridge beat the off side trap to run at goal and fire past keeper Dan Pearson. A Joe Mence corner kick caused confusion in the Gilesgate goal area before Sean Clinton scrambled the ball into the net for 2-2.  With ten minutes remaining Mill substitute James Morrison hit a great strike from eighteen yards out to beat keeper Williams for the winning goal. Man of the match awards deservedly went to Terry Patterson for Gilesgate and Paul Taylor for Mill. 
Second Division
Washington Lambton Village travelled to Shadforth to play the Plough Inn, Lambton Village started the brighter of the two sides in the opening 10 minutes testing the homes sides defence, Shadforths Jack Moore was looking for his 17th goal of the season, but his shot was spilled by the Lambton Keeper, and Jack Jones was left a tap in for his 2nd of the campaign to put the Plough ahead. Jack Moore would get his goal in a second half of little chances a great bit of play from Rob Wade and Jack Jones left a cut back for Moore to slot into an unguarded net, 2 – 0 to the Plough. Jamie Collingwood would make a couple of great saves to ensure a much needed clean sheet for the home side. Joe Simpson, Ian Price & Sam Carman would all come from the bench, replacing Stuart Coxon, Jack Moore and Rob Wade. Sherburn Lambton Arms won 5-3 at Esh Winning Cricket Club. Bede Lodge won 3-1 at East Rainton Fc. New Durham Wmc won 4-2 at Ushaw Moor Cricket Club.
Third Division
Pelaw Grange Dogs travelled the short distance to Sacristan to play Chester-Le-Street St Cuthbert’s FC in the league. In a must win game to keep the  promotion push going the Dogs couldn’t have getting off to a worse start conceding a sloppy goal when the ball wasn’t cleared and the St Cuthbert’s winger ran down the line before crossing for an easy tap in for the forward. As normal this gives the Dogs the kick they needed and they started to move the ball well. Their first chance came from a corner when a header was just sent over the bar. Harvey then created a chance for himself with a great run down the right but his shot was saved well by the keeper. Pelaw got level when a free kick was put into the top left corner by David Donnelly. Pelaw then stamped there authority on the game and created chance after chance, Donnelly should have finished when some great work by Hawkins done the right but his shot was high and wide. More chances came and the first was header with Patterson and Harvey getting in each other’s way with the ball ending up wide of the mark. Then Wood was played in down the left he then skipped pass the defender and played a brilliant ball to Hawkins who from 6 yards out couldn’t find the net and the ball was out for another corner which was put in and Wood flicked it on at the front post and Chris Hawkins finished well and the back post. St Cuthbert’s came back at the Dogs but couldn’t break the defence, and with some quick counter attacking player from Hawkins and Donnelly seen Harvey put in but his first touch wasn’t the best and his shot was blocked by the keeper who had closed down the gap. Pelaw didn’t start the second half and where punished again when a quick goal was set into the bottom corner after their midfielder who wasn’t closed down and had all the time in the world to find his spot. The game was very much messy from this point on with the Dogs not moving the ball or keeping it, and when they did create chance the St Cuthbert’s keeper was there to keep the game level, he saved well when Woods tested him twice. St Cuthbert’s looked to be in on goal only for a brilliant tackle by Hargreaves on the edge on the box which kept the game level. The winning goal came from another corner and with the ball not cleared centre half Scott Patterson hit a sweet volley into top corner. The dogs seen out the remainder of the game to gain to seal the victory and gain another 3 points in the league. West Rainton Fc won 5-2 at Lumley Fc, 
Framwellgate Moor wmc extended their lead at the top of div 3 to 6 points when they won 4-1 at Pittington. The hero for fram was James smith who kept up his excellent form by scoring all 4 fram goals. Fram were comfortable throughout but Pittington can take heart from this performance. Pittingtons goal was a spectacular own goal by fram defender Dave Pratt
Fourth Division
Ferryhill Dynamo’s travelled to Shincliffe to play the Avenue, The Dynamo’s took the lead when Dale Aunger beat his man and fired into the far corner. After half time the Dynamo’s took control going 2-0 up with a bullet header from John Sweeney from a corner followed by young Vinny Gash cutting in from the wing beat two men and placing the ball in the far corner. Liam Armstrong tapped in a goal mouth scramble to make it 4-0. High Shincliffe pulled one back before Ricky Morland scored direct from a corner to seal a comfortable victory Washington Honest Boy v Quarrington Hill, A well contested, competitive game. Quarrington Hill took the lead in the 8th min with a well taken finish by Chris Winter following some hard work from Chris Taylor. The same two players combined in the 35th min with a free kick from Taylor finished by winter. HT 0-2. The second half Honest Boy changed their shape and had much more of the play. Quarrington Hill extended the lead on 52mins when John Spoors reacted first in the box to finish from close range and MOM Chris Taylor scored on 55 mins. Honest Boy scored to make it 1-4.Kelloe Davy Lamp shared the Points in a 2-2 draw at Pity Me Fox and Hounds, Burnmoor Jnrs took an early lead against visitors Washington New Tavern ,which the Tavern never come back from, and ending up 5-0 down at half time. The Tavern however, who for a number of reasons were short of players, still rallied and got two goals back, the first from Mark Wallis, grabbing his first of the season and the second from Craig Neal. Full time 8-2and Bishop Middleham Fc beat visitors Washington Jays 2-0. Pity Me entertained Kelloe Davy Lamp, It was Pity me took the lead early in the game going 1-0 ahead within 5 mins as their left back D Grindley make a trademark run down the left flank. pity me played a lot on the counter in the opening minutes and again got a breakthrough when Gaz Bowen was taken down in the box. He got up and converted the pen. The first half fizzled out with very few good chances for both teams. Second half started with Kelloe fired up and the seemed to have pity me rattled. A moment of miscommunication saw Kelloe pull a goal back making it 2-1 and a tight affair. Pity me got into the game and made 3/4 chances where on another day they would have scored, story of the season but Kelloe fought back and grabbed a pen for themselves making it 2-2. Pity me maybe had the better chances but kelloe controlled possession making the draw a fair result.
Durham Football Association County Cup 1st Round
Durham Football Association Sunday Cup Holders Kelloe Wmc entertained Peterlee Sunday Side Dawdon Cw in the First Round proper of this seasons competition, in what was always going to be a tough tie for Kelloe Wmc, Kelloe made early running creating chances for Ian Ward, Dean Smithson and Kieran Megran which were all saved by the Dawdon keeper Paul McSween. After a goalless first half, Dawdon took the lead after a mistake by Kelloe defender Phil Best let in the Dawdon striker Robbie Bird; his shot was parried by Kelloe keeper Paul Morris, to the oncoming   Lee Chapman to fire the ball home. Kelloe drew level straight from the restart when Dean Smithson headed in Phil Best's cross. Kelloe took the lead and went on to win the game through Kieran Megran's deflected 25 yard shot that left the Dawdon keeper Paul McSween helpless. final score 2-1 kelloe.Hetton Lyons Cricket Club entertained fellow Durham Sunday League side Coxhoe Wmc in .The Lyons nearly paid the price for missed chances and some heroic goalkeeping from  Tommy Orton in the Coxhoe goal. Hetton had four excellent chances in the first half but a clearance off the line and the keeper saving with every part of his body denied the Lyons. In the second half Warren Byrne had a great chance to open the scoring from close range but his shot was saved from the goalkeeper’s knee. The Lyons kept the pressure on but it was Coxhoe who took the lead in the 78th minute with their first real attack on goal, a free kick from the left hand side and Stand in goalkeeper partially cleared it but the Coxhoe captain headed in to the net    O-1. The lead last only four minutes when Callum Griffiths crossed the ball in to the six yard box and the Coxhoe defender put it in to his own net 1-1. Extra time and Danny Craggs had an excellent chance but his shot went wide of the post after the goalkeeper was well beaten, minutes later Chris Bell's shot smashed against the cross bar. The Lyons got the winner in the second period of extra time a cross from the right hand side and Ellison beat the keeper this time 2-1. In an all Swinburne Maddison Sunday League Tie Washington Cross Keys welcomed Houghton Chilton Lodge to Glebe Park. The Keys dominated the first half but only had one goal to show for their efforts, Gary Allan knocking the ball home from close range shortly before half time. Chilton Lodge came more into the game in the second half but could do nothing to stop a wonderful long range effort from David Fittes to make it 2-0. Chilton hit straight back to make it 2-1 and began to look dangerous going forward however the Keys restored its two goal advantage with a second goal from David Fittes mid way through the second half. Chilton Lodge refused to lie down and with five minutes remaining grab a life line with a second to set up a frantic finish, but resolute defending saw the Keys hold on to go through to the last thirty two for the first time in the clubs history. Chilton Wmc progressed into the next round, when they beat Washington Tints Windows by 4-1, Chilton Travelled to Washington and goals from Nicky Pickford (2) Kyle Wren & Adam Wright. Chilton played well for long periods in the game, Tints played their part in good game but were well beaten in the end from a inform team at the moment. Burnside Wmc travelled to Winlaton to the Commercial, Burnside were 4-1 down, pulled back to 4-4, but were eventually beaten 6-4.Newton Aycliffe Wmc entertained Sunderland Sunday League side Grangetown Florists, Goals from Cooper 2, Owen Brischuk, Wright and McMullen. gave Aycliffe a comfortable 7-3 win, Sedgefield st Edmunds continued with their run of good results, they entertained Greenside Social Club ,  Two Goals from Anthony Beamson  and a well taken Brian Fairhurst penalty gave them a fine 3-2 win. Houghton Comrades beat Easington Social 3-2. Ferryhill Saints lost 3-1 to visitors Hartlepool Throston Wanderers. Sacriston Cricket Club were 4-0 winners at Washington Stella.

Washington JFC entertained Brandon Sports in the 4th rd Alan Smith Trophy sponsored by Castle Insurance , an even game with both teams playing good football, JFC took the lead when Deano Stephenson’s first time cross from the right was controlled by Costa who turned to his left and pile-drove a left footer under the keeper 1-0. Brandon equalized when they won a free kick and from the cross David Fort beat 2 players before firing home from 10 yds 1-1 H/T. JFC had more of the game in the 2nd half and took the lead when a blocked shot fell to Briggs to tap home 2-1 JFC, the home team went 3-1 up when a great ball by Proudlock found Costa on the left, his well-timed lob beating the keeper. Brandon came back again when David Fort struck his 2nd of the game in-off the post 3-2 JFC, the game was put to bed when an identical lob by Middlemiss had the Brandon keeper looking at the stars as his lob sailed into the goal 4-2 JFC F/T

Bowburn Fc entertained The Bird In From High Handenhold, Bowburn Fc started off the better team and scored after 2 minutes Ray Pirt scoring from a free kick and were looking comfortable until a bad pass let in the opposition to score Bowburn were still creating chances but another defence mistake saw Handlehold score again to make it 2-1 after that Bowburn seemed to be going through the motions and two more late goals killed the game and knocked Bowburn out of the cup.

Chester Plough Inn lost 2-1 to visitors New Brancepeth WMC, despite the Plough dominating the game. The Plough hit the woodwork four times and Brancepeth keeper made two superb saves to keep the sides level. Brancepeth took a two goal lead in the first half with their only shots of the game. The Plough pulled a goal back in the second half after a defensive mix up but despite all the pressure couldn’t get an equaliser.Ouston Fc beat Dubmire 4-2

In the Third Round of this Competition Chester Cricket Club entertained Langley Park Rams Head, The Cricketers won This game which could of gone either way, Both teams on par with each other, having plenty of ball but not a lot of chances, Langley Keeper Watson made a good save of a Cricketers free kick in first half, Chester took lead with cross that was volleyed in from 12 yards. Langley pressed for equalizer but wasn’t to be and Chester made sure of game with 8 minutes when Langley were pressuring and player shot and deflected into net.2-0 to the Cricketers.

In the Third Round of this Competition Chester Red Lion entertained Washington Victoria, Great game to watch with both teams playing some good football. Both teams missed good chances and both keepers made some great saves. The Vic went 1 up then the Red Lion levelled to make it 1-1. Vic went 3-1 up. The Red Lion pulled it back to make it 3-3 at 90 Minutes. In extra Time. The Victoria took the lead again to make it 4-3. But back came the Red Lion to make it 4-4 and with 2min to the Red Lion grabbed the winner.

Its Hetton and Kelloe in the Ramside Final


The Two team for the First cup final of the season were decided on Sunday, the two semi-finals of the Ramside Hall hotel Cup winners Trophy were played.Hetton Lyons Cricket Club Travelled to Brandon Sports and Kelloe Wmc travelled to Pelton ROAB.Danny Craggs grabbed a hat-trick for the Lyons in this cup tie and both teams might have scored a lot more goals but for some great saves from both goalkeepers. Nicky Kane came close for the Lyons when his shot from close range smashed against the cross bar, shortly after Craggs was fouled and a brilliant free kick from 20 yards from Craig Price gave the goalkeeper no chance 0-1 after 18 minutes. Brandon replied with a shot from Gavin Mudd that was well saved from Jameson and on 29 minutes Brandon thought they had equalized but an excellent goal line clearance from Full back Dave Gordon kept it out. On 37 minutes Lyons doubled their lead good work from Capper and Price and Danny Craggs got his first goal 0-2.First minute of the second half and Joe Walton had a great chance to put the Lyons three up but a great save from the Brandon goalkeeper. The home side got a goal back on 51 minutes with a quickly taken free kick while the Lyons were arranging their wall and a minute later Hetton restored their lead, good work from Walton and he crossed for Craggs to score 1-3. Brandon kept on pushing forward and Gavin Mudd scored on the hour mark 2-3. The Lyons scored in the 83rd minute a brilliant cross field pass from Griffiths found Craggs he the side stepped the defender and his shot wide of the goalkeeper and in to the net to complete his hat trick 2-4. Minutes Later Craggs down the right hand side crossed for Joe Walton to get his well deserved goal 2-5.    Kelloe Wmc came from behind 3 times at Pelton, Pelton Taking the lead Through Craig Mickle, then Kelloe leveled Ian Ward, then Pelton went further ahead with a fine strike from Luke Kerry, Ian Ward added his second of the game to make it 2-2. Just after half Time Tony Davison put Pelton Back into the lead, with Kieran Megran Scoring for Kelloe to again level the scores. With minutes remaining Liam Beeston fired in Kelloes Winner.

In the Premier Division Langley Park Steelers entertained Chester’s for the second time in two weeks and again they lost by the same score line. Unlike the last game the Steelers took the lead in this match with Craig Mountain heading home a Kieran Moralee assist. Chester’s pulled the game back in their favor with a 2 - 1 lead before Craig Thompson leveled for the Steelers when he converted Liam Burn's cross. With 20 minutes to go the visitors won the match 3-2.Washington Chevies lost 7-1 at Newton Aycliffe Wmc.

Division One leaders Coxhoe WMC kept up their promotion challenge with a fine 7-2 away win at Houghton Mill All Stars. Colin Young gave Coxhoe an early lead hitting the ball into the corner of the net away from the arms of outstretched keeper Dan Pearson. Mill quickly equalized with a Joe Mence curling free kick from twenty yards out. Young scored again and Michael Owens beat Pearson from close range for 3-1 to Coxhoe. A long kick out from Mill keeper Pearson bounced off the back of a Coxhoe defender deceiving keeper Tom Orton for 3-2 at the half time break.A badly timed tackle from Mill's Liam Mence gave Coxhoe a penalty kick and Colin Young stepped up to grab his hat trick. On the hour mark Young netted his fourth, Mill's Sean Clinton then gave away a further penalty which Michael Owens dispatched perfectly. Owens grabbed another five minutes from time for a 7-2 victory. Washington Victoria were 2-0 home winners over Chester Hilda Park. Sacriston wms Traveled to Sedge field to Play Netpark.It was Sacriston who started the better side, getting the ball down and creating several chances. But slowly Net Park got back into the game, using their height advantage all over the park to good effect, several saves from the Sacriston keeper kept the score to 0-0 at half time. Sacriston started the 2nd half better with Net Park still bombarding the defense with high ball. Ben Sanderson broke free from several challenges and managed to slip the ball passed the Net Park keeper, only for the ball to hit the post roll along the goal line and hit the other post then go over the line. To make it 1-0 to the visitors, Sacriston caught Net Park on the break several times only for the keeper to pull of some great stops. Sacriston continued to cope well with the aerial threat and saw the game out to collect all 3 points Not many chances in the first half but Netpark had the best one when Martin Broom lobbed Potts in the Sacriston goal but he pulled off a fantastic save to keep the scores level at the break 0-0.Second half was again tight but Sacristion took the lead after a burst from midfield their lad went passed three players before his shot hit both posts and went in 0-1.Netpark were guilty of missing chances with Potts excellent in goal, Sacriston were had a few chances on the break as Netpark were pushing for the equalizer that didn't come, final score 0-1.Washington Cross Keys shared the points with visitors Burnside Wmc in an entertaining encounter at Glebe Park. Burnside started well but against the run of play the Keys took the lead with a powerful David Lyle header of a Gary Allen corner. Almost immediately from the restart Burnside equalizes. A long ball into the box found Burnsides Carl Finch unmarked and with little trouble headed the ball home. Burnsides dominance continued for the remainder of the first half and a well taken Craig Ellison free kick deservedly give them lead going into the half time break. The second half was a different affair with the Cross Keys dominating. After having two good penalty shouts ignored it looked like the Keys were going to get no reward but with five minutes remaining David Lyall was again on hand to score from a corner kick sweeping the ball home from a narrow angle.

Chester Plough Inn made the short trip to Rainton in a second division fixture and ran out comfortable 6-1 winners thanks to goals from Ben Lloyd (2) Sam Baddams (2) Mark Atchison and Joel Baddams. Jonathan Gaunt scored from the penalty spot for East Rainton.Ushaw Moor Cricket Club beat visitors Esh Winning Cricket Club 2-1.

3rd division leaders Framwellgate Moor Wmc kept up their excellent form with a comfortable win at home to West Rainton FC. James Smith scored two well taken goals to put Fram 2-0 ahead but Rainton pulled one back late on to give a 2-1 scoreline.After a week off Pelaw Grange Dogs FC came into this home game against High Handen Bird Inn fc eager to win .The Bird were lively down the right and put some good crosses in that came to nothing. Pelaw Grange Dogs fc then saw Marc Wood break into the Bird box and was brought down for a penalty that Neil Worley slotted home after 18 minutes. 10 minutes later the Bird drew level with a good cross and header into Pelaws goal to make it 1all. This only last a few minutes though as Marc Wood dummied and shrugged off a couple of tackles and then shot with his right into the back of the net. Not long before half time Chris Hawkins made it 3 - 1 for the dogs and the Bird were rattled. In the second half Pelaw Grange Dogs FC dominated and it wasn't surprising they went 4 -1 up with another goal by Chris Hawkins. Chester Cricket Club hosted New Brancepeth Wmc, New Brancepeth Wmc coming out on top with a 4-1 victory, Andrew Willcock scoring the Cricketers' consolation goal. Chester Red Line and visitors Dubmire shared the points in a 2-2 Draw. Chester st Cuthbert’s won 4-2 at Pittington Fc

In the Fourth Division Quarrington Hill Wmc Traveled to Washington New Tavern Credit to both teams and the referee for their contribution to a cracking game of football. Conditions and pitch were excellent and both teams played good football in a competitive sporting game. Washington took the lead and had the lions share of possession and chances, many of which they failed to convert. It was no surprise when they doubled their lead. But a spirited fight back from Q Hill, who had missed a few chances of their own and seen the Tavern keeper pull off some superb saves, got the score back to 2-2 with goals from Jeff Dean and Alan Tingley. Q Hill then made it 3-2, Jeff Dean netting his second of the game. But a correctly awarded penalty late on was converted, after a double save from Q Hill keeper and MOM Dan Beanery, to make it 3-3Langley Park Rams Head  continued the early season form with a good home  win against Kelloe Davy Lamp.Kelloe had the best of the opening 30 minutes, then Langley got going and got a penalty after 30 minutes when Rutter was fouled, Steven Mikel took it but missed with a fine save of the keeper and went for a corner but Langley scored of the corner with Steven Cummings blasting in from close range, Langley then went further ahead after 38 mins when Bussey shot and keeper and he could only save and ball went into Tony Rutters feet and he put ball in, Kelloe scored with last kick in the first half from a corner so promised to be an open second half.Langley then went further ahead afer 50 minutes with david mcguire scoring from a corner in a goalmouth scramble, Langley just upped game after that and four from Anthony Bussey on 58, 75,81 and 88 minutes.Washington Honest Boy entertained Ferry hill Dynamo’s ,The Honest Boy took the lead followed by a well worked goal from the Dynamoes.A ball laid off by Dale Aunger to Liam Armstrong who beat a man turned and shot from 18 yards into the bottom corner before half time. After the break the Dynamo’s took the lead a cross from Aunger, Peareth took a touch and shot from 20 yards putting it in the bottom corner, the honest boy equalized in a fairly even game. final score 2-2.An under strength Witton Gilbert Wmc  side missing Scott Embleton , Ben Morgan and Ritchie Eland , entertained Bishop Middle ham Fc ,Witton gave a good account of themselves in the first half and went 1 up with a thunderous strike from 28 yards by Man of the Match Mark Burden. The second half was an even encounter in which Witton lost their way a little and some good team play from Bishop saw them draw level within 10 minutes of the half. Another good strike from Burden put Witton back in front but then naïve defending saw them concede a further 2 goals to lose the game 2-3.

New Durham wmc entertained Burnmoor jnrs and scored 7 with a hatrick from mom Graeme Brinkley and 2 from Mark Wild, 1 from Andrew Ward, and 1 from sub Gavin Joyce, Burnmoor took the lead after mistake from Durham keeper but soon leveled through a 40 yard screamer from Andrew Ward and there after Durham were in control of the game, credit to Burnmoor who never stopped working for each other could luck to them for the rest of the season. Houghton Chilton Lodge appeared to be coasting to a comfortable against visitors Lumley Fc courtesy of goals from Mark Thirkell, and a fifteen yard volley from man of the match Jonathon fox putting them into a two nil lead. Lumley had other ideas however and rocked Chilton Lodge with a three goal burst in ten minutes. Gavin Tate rescued Chilton equalizing from the spot with five minutes left forcing the game into extra time. Lumley quickly regained the lead to make it 4-3, only for Gavin Tait to equalize again from the spot following a foul on Jonathon Fox. A Shaun Smith cross was turned in by Mark Thirkell to edge Chilton into a 5-4 lead and an epic game was wrapped up when Gavin Tate completed his hat-trick to make it 6-4 to Chilton.

Sacriston Cricket Club entertained Ouston Fc, Sacriston controlled the first half with Gary Draper nearly scored on 3 minutes when he tried a outside of the foot curler from 20 yards which went just wide. For the rest of the first half our stand in keeper Robert Nixon's goal was never troubled and we had all the possession. James Thornton was in the thick of the action and went close with a couple of free kicks and his corners were causing trouble but we were not making the most of his excellent delivery. Although the Cricketers had much of the play their passing at times was awful and we were not making the most of the possession that they had.
The course of the game changed on 48 minutes when a speculative shot from Ouston was palmed out by Nixon in the Sacriston goal and the rebound fell straight to an unmarked Ouston forward who then finished an easy chance to make it 1-0. The equalizer came 11 minutes from time when some good passing in and around the Ouston penalty area resulted in Collinson playing in Coates who had plenty of time to pick his spot and he put the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 1-1. After having gone close several times before Hunter couldn't have picked a better time for his first goal when he finished coolly with a left footed shot following Kevin Coates pass in injury time to win the game for the cricketers After that in injury time Ouston committed every man forward but lost the ball and we counter attacked and Grant Boyd got all the way into the box before being brought down by the Ouston goalkeeper to get us a stonewall penalty. Gary Draper kept his cool to score the penalty putting the ball into the bottom left hand corner to take his tally to 11 for the season and ensure our place in the last 8 of the guard’s cup.
Heart Foundation Trophy

Chilton Wmc were away to  Newton Aycliffe Legion an unknown quantity, Chilton scored after 17min through Anthony Local, David Maugham scored a second on 42mins Aycliffe tried but could not get into any sort of pattern going and never troubled the Chilton back line. David Maugham scored a 3rd from the spot, it was just a matter of time till Chilton scored again and sub Gary Shaw scored in the 87th min to rap up the match.

Washington JFC traveled to Coundon to play the Foresters, In a Very good game two teams trying to play football, both teams had chances and the H/T score 0-0 was a fair result. After the break JFC had more of the ball and were definitely the stronger team in the 2nd half this paid dividends when Coundon`s keeper brought down a JFC forward in the box, PENALTY and Vincent scored his sixth spot kick of the campaign with Aplomb sending the keeper the wrong way, 1-0, as the home side pressed for an equalizer WJFC broke from defense and a through ball from Macadam put Miller through from his own half and no one was going to catch him, he finished the move with a low right foot strike into the far corner of the goal 2-0 jfc and with only a minute left that was good night ViennaSedgefield St Edmunds were 2-0 home winners over Bishop Auckland Social,Ferryhill Saints were 3-1 winners at Bowburn Fc, Langley Park Wmc needed extra Time at  Cockfield , Langley winning 3-2 .
