2 Sacriston Wmc
One Of Gilesgate's Worst Performances Of The Season Seen Them Manage A Draw. After Going 1-0 Up Through A Determined John West Gilesgate Were Awful And Went 2-1 Behind With Goals From Michael Finch And Sam Renwick. Gilesgate Managed To Pull It Back With Their Only Good Move Of The Match With A Well Finished Header From Matthew Bainbridge. The Home Side Took The Lead After 5 Minutes When A Foward Found Himself One On One, Potts Managed To Save The First Effort But It Fell Back To Him Who Calmly Knocked The Ball Into The Back Of The Net.Both Keepers Made Excellent Saves During The Game To Keep Both Sides In The Match At Different Stages Of The Game. The Second Half Saw Sacriston Take The Lead, Finch Scored With A Powerful Header From A Well Delivered Corner And Then Renwick Powered His Way Through The Box And Slotted His Shot Into The Bottom Corner. With 10 Minutes Left Gilesgate Drew Level When They Scored From 8 Yards Out From A Header. Both Sides Had Chances To Win The Match But A Draw Was A Fair Result.
Burnside Wmc 2 V 0 East Rainton Fc

It Was A Very Tight Game With The Burnside Edging The Opening Fifteen Minutes. Rainton However Finished The Half The Strongest And Played Well In Periods Of The Second Half With The Burnside Going Down To Ten Men With Gardner Sent Off For Two Yellows. How Ever It Seemed To Spur The Burnside On And They Took The Lead With The Superb Craig Ellison Calmly Finishing To Give The Burnside The First Goal. Rainton Continued To Push Body's Forward And Came Close To Pulling Level With Henderson Making Saves To Deny The Impressive Gaunt And Bleanch. However The Burnside Ten Men Continued To Play Good Football And Doubled There Lead With A Ellison Shot That Was Saved But Bailey Was On Hand To Give The Burnside A Two Goal Advantage And Win The Game, This Was A Great Game Of Football Between Two Very Good Sides With Gaunt For Rainton And Ellison For Burnside Starring.

Shadforth Plough 0 V 2 Pelaw
Grange Dogs Fc
Pelaw Must Have Been Keen To Play This Game, As They Went To The Trouble Of Booking A 3g Pitch At Gateshead Stadium, The Game Was Played In What Seemed To Be The Middle Of A Hurricane. The Plough Knew A Win Would Send Them Top Of Division 2 But With Pelaw Looking To Also Closing The Gap It Had The Hallmark Of A Classic, However It Wasn't To Be, In A Game Of Very Few Chances, Pelaw Took Theirs. A Goal In The Opening Few Minutes Set The Tone, They Worked Harder And Wanted It More Then The Visiting Team.Every Pass, Every Switch Of Play Found Itself Flying Out Of Play Due To The Playing Surface And The Wind, This Was The Same For Both Teams Which Meant The Game Was Played Down One Side Of The Pitch, Neither Team Really Put Many Passes Together. The Dogs Got The Second Goal Of The Game And Wrapped It Up. Shadforth Now Looking To Bounce Back In Their Next Fixture After Suffering A Dissapointing Set Back, Full Credit To Pelaw Though Wh Osimply Worked Harder For Each Other. This Game Was Played On A 3g Pitch As Sunderland Council Had Closed All Their Pitches. It Was Extremely Windy Across The Pitch With A Chill In The Wind And A Low Sun In The Keepers Eyes In The North Goal Made It A Difficult Game. Both Sides However Played Some Good Football By Keeping The Ball Down. A Drive Down The Left Wing By David Donnelly And Then A Fierce Shot With A Lot Of Power Saw The Ball Go Into The Far Corner Of The Net To Make It 1 Nil To Pelaw Grange Dogs Fc. Pelaw Played The Ball Around Well To Keep Possession And Kept The Ball Down Which Gave Them The Edge At Half Time. After The Break Pelaw Had Several Chances But It Was On 65 Minutes That They Increased Their Lead By A Run Down The Right Wing By Paul Hargreaves And A Cross Into An Unmarked David Jeffers Saw Him Hit The Ball Past Graeme Coxon In The Shadforth Goal. This Steadied The Dogs Down And The Dogs Should Of Gone On To Score More But Some Poor Finishing Saw Headers Go Wide Or Over The Bar Or Saved By The Keeper. Final Result In Blustery Conditions 2 Nil To Pelaw Grange Dogs Fc.

Lumley Fc 1 V 2 Pittington Fc
The Game Was Played With A Good Tempo, Alot Of Chances Created By Both Teams, But It Was Pittingtons Little Extra Class, That Was Enough To Earn The Points. Pittington Edged A 2-1 Win Against Lumley. A Late Goal Clinched The Points After James Lauder Had Levelled For Lumley Chester Relton Terrace Fc 3 V 6 Durham County Seniors Fc Durham County Hit Relton For Six In Difficult Conditions To Continue Their Unbeaten Run To The Current Campaign It Could Have Been More If Not For An Inspirational Display By The Home Goalkeeper Who Was Deservedly Awarded The Man Of The Match, But To Their Credit Relton Showed Character And Fought Hard To The Final Whistle. Adam Whale Opened The Scoring With A Low Drive From Close Range, Mark Hughes Then Finished Off A Fine Passing More With A Fierce Drive From 18yard, Captain Lee Walker, Adam Birks And Scott Arnott All Netted Before Hughes Grabbed A Second Late On.

Newton Aycliffe Wmc 0 V 2 Humbledon Plains Farm Nissan
Early Exchanges Were Even Until Aycliffe Had Their Centre Half Griffith Sent Off For Supposedly Fouling An Opposing Forward On The Edge Of The Box.The Decision Was Made By A Linesman,( Not The Referee) Who Failed To See That The Forward Was Two Yards Offside . Plains Farm Had The Rest Of The First Half Missing Several Chances With Aycliffe In Disaray. The Half Time Break Did Wonders For Aycliffe And They Were The Better Team In The Second Half Without Carving Out Clear Cut Chances. In Injury Time,With Aycliffe Camped Around The Visitors Box A Breakaway Gave Plains Farm A Simple Second Goal To Win Them The Tie 2-0.
