The first was a tap in from six yards out after great work from Max Stoker, Hall then neatly rounded the keeper for his second before volleying home a Stoker left wing cross for number three. Washington were much brighter in the second half and gave Mill a scare when Adam Hinde netted twice to reduce the deficit to 3-2 on the hour mark. Mill were unfortunate not to extend their lead when Rhys Cairns shot past the post after a mazy run, Nick Thompson forced a good save out of keeper Jon Laverick and Paul Rogerson struck the upright with a great shot from twenty yards out. Mill sealed the game on eighty minutes when Cairns played a lovely one-two with Stoker before placing his shot out of reach of the outstretched Laverick.

The Holders of the Trophy Pelton Roab entertained the Lambton Hounds from Pity Me A hat trick from Craig Mickle and On from Keith Ball gave them a comfortable 4-0 win. In the all Premiership Clash Langley park Wmc travelled to Newton Aycliffe Wmc, It was Langley Park Wmc who took the initiative in the first twenty minutes of the game, with Aycliffe struggling to get any pattern into their play. They were rewarded with a tenth minute penalty goal after a foul in the area, and in the 35th minute Harrison side footed in a second after an excellent left wing attack and pull back. Aycliffe managed to get back into the game a minute later when a Cooper shot squirmed under the Langley Park keeper and into the net. The second half started evenly but a couple of good substitutions put a bit more life into the Aycliffe team and they started to attack more and ran in three more goals through Brischuk. Hanson and Wing in the last minute. An excellent late display from Aycliffe, in a match which they looked like loosing in the first half.

Premier Side Washington JFC made the long journey down to Sedgefield to play the Netpark, for the first 20mins this game was closely contested then two individual mistakes gifted JFC a 2-0 half time lead. Net Park made a change to try and get back into the game but it was JFC who found themselves 4-0 up after two quick goals again one due to a defenders weak back pass the other a good individual goal. Shadforth Plough FC were more up for this 1st Round tie in the Castle Insurance Alan Smith memorial Trophy game than the visitors Pelaw Grange Dogs FC.Shadforth were 2 up the first 20 minutes and two mistakes by Pelaw gifted them two goals one within the first two minutes. This was with the Shadforth players wanting to be first to the ball and hadn't given Pelaw the chance to settle. Andrew Tippins had to come off just before half time giving Chris Hawkins his chance to prove himself during the second half. However neither side looked like scoring during the second half with most of the play being in midfield and both sides playing high defences at times. Two torrential downpours during the game ensured the surface was very slippy and just before the final whistle Pelaw's Mark Wood pulled one back with only the keeper to beat having beat the offside trap. The goal seemed to be the Lumley wake up call as they took hold of the game and dominated possession. Lumley were rewarded with a fine equaliser when after a good passage of play James Laidler cut inside and drove past the goalkeeper. Lumley were soon in the lead when good work from Ryan Nicholson, led to Steven Chapman scoring. Lumley went into the second half with a 2-1 lead and never looked like losing it. In fact Chapman and Laidler both added before Richard Kay added a Lumley 5th when heading home after good work from Laidler. It finished 5-1.Burnmoor Jnrs Travelled the Lambton Arms at Sherburn Village; It Was the Away Side Burnmoor Jfc Who Applied the Early Pressure. Bowburn Fc entertained Ferryhill Saints today but it was the visitors who started of the blocks quickest going three nil up before half time the first and second both looking offside but in the second half Bowburn had a few chances and were rewarded with a penalty to the oppositions annoyance to say the least Robert Hurton scoring from the spot a free header should have made it 3-2 but went over the bar before Ferryhill scored another 2 to make it 5-1

A good cup tie with newly promoted Washington Chevy’s visiting Sacriston WMC. Washington were then awarded a penalty and converted to make it 1-1, Sacriston then took the lead just before half time when Daryl Richardson's cross sailed over the keeper and found the top corner. The 2nd half saw Washington come out stronger and they controlled the game for a while and drew level to make it 2-2. Sacriston always looked dangerous on the break and Daryl Richardson scored his 2nd of the game to make it 3-2.
