Mill doubled their lead two minutes later when James Haddrick blasted the ball into the top of the net from twenty yards out. Arms' Alex Hird scored on the stroke of half time for 2-1 and then was unfortunate not to score again when the ball rattled off the post from a thunderous effort from outside the goal box. On sixty five minutes Arms equalised in extraordinary style - Mill keeper Dan Pearson collected the ball in his goal area and with no-one near him fell to the ground after going over on his ankle, he then dropped the ball allowing Ian Brown to run in and tap it into an empty net. Mill Then scored the winner Dave Hall firing Home. Like many teams early season Pelaw Granges Dogs Fc shuffled their team for the Home tie against Washington Honest Boy. Langley Park Wmc won 3-1 at Washington Chevy’s Sports Bar.Chesters Fc lost 4-0 at Houghton Comrades. Washington JFC won 3-2 at Pelton Roab.

In The First Division A very poor performance by Sacriston Cricket Club away to Washington Victoria. The first half Sacriston Cricket Club should of been 2 0r 3 up but just can't seem to find the net. Second half a different story. 4 defensive errors gave Washington Vic the 4-0 home, victory which they rightly deserved. Washington Cross Keys won 5-1 at Chester Hilda Park Very much below par performance from Hilda Park tonight and not the start to the season they were hoping for. Net Park and Visitors the Queens head shared the Points in a 3-3 draw.

In the Second Division  Ushaw Moor Cricket Club lost 2-1 at Houghton Chilton Lodge, Chester Plough started the game well and scored on 25 mins Michael Dawson supplied a great cross at the back which Ben Lloyd headed back to Dean Cooper to smash home from close range, Chester bossed the first half second half New Durham made chance after chance and on 80 mins sub Andrew Ward made the scores 1-1 and New Durham went to get the winner and on the 90 mins big striker Nicky Marley headed in past the Chester keeper,Ferryhill Saints drew 1-1 at Washington Lambton Village .Bede Lodge lost4-1 at Esh Cricket Club. Sherburn Lambton Arms started the league season off with a 4-2 Home win over East Rainton Fc

In the Third Division Pelaw Grange Dogs started there league campaign at home to Pittington FC. With very strong winds and a low sun the conditions where not good for both teams. The dogs won the toss and decided to kick with the wind on the advise it would settle down in the second half Pelaw played some decent football in the opening periods but Pittington matched this and both teams seen a lot of the ball. It was the dogs who created the first chances as expected with the wind, good work down the right from Hawkins who crossed only for the defender to concede a corner. Hawkins took the corner and swung it in to the near post where Harvey finished well to make it one nil. It should have been two when another Hawkins corner was headed just over by Tippins. Our pressure paid off when more great work down the right by Hawkins who played a ball to Gosnell who crossed in low and hard for Tippins to finish well at the near post. It was nearly three a few minutes later when sub Nicholson who replaced the injured Wood headed off the cross bar with his first touch for the ball to bounce on the line. The Dogs got the third direct from a corner, Hawkins again wiping in the ball and with help from the wind the ball flow into the far top corner. Half Time the dogs had one plan second half don’t concede early and keep the ball. That wasn’t what happened just a couple minutes in and a cheap free kick was giving away which landed straight into Patterson hands, but the stand in keeper dropped the ball for the Pittington forward to have an easy tap in. Not the start needed, it was only before Pittington got there second when there forward was allowed to travel with the ball from the left hand side with not a single challenge on him he fired the ball into the box for Worley to handle and a penalty was award. Patterson got hands to the penalty but just couldn’t keep it out. This gives the dogs the kick they needed and from this point Pittington didn’t have another shot on target. We got our forth with more excellent work down the right seen a cross in for Tippins to get his 2nd of the night with a brilliant header. Full Time Dogs 4-2 Pittington Fc Chester Cricket Club got off to a disappointing start to the new season with a 1-1 draw against The Bird Inn. The Keets never got going but took the lead shortly after half time through a well executed free kick from Darren Redfearn. The Bird Inn however, got a well deserved equaliser moments before the final whistle from the penalty spot.Framwellgate Moor Wmc beat visitors Lumley Fc 1-0

In the Fourth Division An opening entertaing league game, Langley Park Rams Head welcomed new team High Shincliffe in windy conditions, quiet first 20 mins Langley park creating chances but not enough to score. Second half was just as entertaing , Langley won 8-2 with 4 from Anthony Bussey , 3 from Steven Cummings and that own goal. Playing with a low sun behind them Bishop Middleham Fc entertained Kelloe Davey Lamp, It  was difficult for kelloe to see the ball and bishops first attack resulted in a goal after 6 min.both teams were equally matched and kelloes Carl Hewitson. The second half started evenly but a couple of good substitutions put a bit more life into the Aycliffe team and they started to attack more and ran in three more goals through Brischuk. Hanson and Wing in the last minute. An excellent late display from Aycliffe, in a match which they looked like loosing in the first half.

Shadforth Plough FC were more up for this 1st Round tie in the Castle Insurance Alan Smith memorial Trophy game than the visitors Pelaw Grange Dogs FC.Shadforth were 2 up the first 20 minutes and two mistakes by Pelaw gifted them two goals one within the first two minutes. This was with the Shadforth players wanting to be first to the ball and hadn't given Pelaw the chance to settle. Andrew Tippins had to come off just before half time giving Chris Hawkins his chance to prove himself during the second half. However neither side looked like scoring during the second half with most of the play being in midfield and both sides playing high defences at times. Lumley were soon in the lead when good work from Ryan Nicholson, led to Steven Chapman scoring. Lumley went into the second half with a 2-1 lead and never looked like losing it. Bowburn Fc entertained Ferryhill Saints today but it was the visitors who started of the blocks quickest going three nil up before half time the first and second both looking offside but in the second half Bowburn had a few chances and were rewarded with a penalty to the oppositions annoyance to say the least Robert Hurton scoring from the spot a free header should have made it 3-2 but went over the bar before Ferryhill scored another 2 to make it 5-1
