Washington Cross Keys v Coxhoe WMC   Score 0 - 3
A comfortable win for Coxhoe after two early goals from Young and Hurton. Winger Jack Carr added a third in the second half as Coxhoe ran out 3 -0 winners.

Washington JFC vs kelloe wmc Score: 2 - 1:
Kelloe took the game to JFC from the off, Davis squandered 1 chance then stayed on his feet when clipped to fire over. Ward then hit the bar from distance, followed by the JFC goalkeeper pulling off a couple of saves to keep the score goalless. JFC against the run of the play broke the deadlock with a back post tap in after Morris pulled off a fine save. At 1-0 at half time, kelloe continued to press and were caught again when a ricochet fell to the JFC striker who finished well. Kelloe got back in the game when a dubious penalty was awarded, megran scored the spot kick but with 5 minutes remaining, kelloe couldn't find an equalizer. The 2-1 result somewhat dented kelloe's title charge.
JFC welcomed Kelloe to their 3G pitch in what turned out to be a hard fought game from start to finish, the visitors attacked from the koi but the home sides formation of 5-4-1 kept them at bay and then paid dividends when a quick break down the left wing by Miller saw his cross hit low and hard by Briggs bringing a great save from Kelloe's keeper Morris with the rebound finding Sinclair who tapped in from 3yds 1-0 jfc H/T. The 2nd half saw Kelloe push forward looking for the equalizer but just failing to finish time after time with some great saves by Smith and defending from the home team.
JFC put this game to bed when once again a break down the left by Miller saw his cross smacked straight at goal for Morris to make a brilliant save once again however the rebound fell to Sinclair zooming in from the right to fire hard and low into the far corner of the goal 2-0 jfc, Kelloe got a consolation penalty with 5 mins remaining and the home team hung onto their 2-1 lead after some excellent defending. 2-1 jfc F/T.
First Division

East Rainton FC v Hilda Park FC Score: 5 - 1
In freezing conditions and an awful pitch a rag tag squad missing players after a long first half of the season were the better side for the first 15 mins but east rainton broke through with the Sid of a mistake from our left bas and a superb finish lead to the first goal and four more followed.
Daniel foster came on as substitute and proved his worth with some battling performance and a calmly taken consolation goal. East Rainton FC returned to league action with a deserved 5-1 win vs Chester Hilda park, Lee Gaunt stole the show with a superb display and lethal finishing scoring 3 times on his debut, with Christopher Wilson and Christopher Grant also scoring for Rainton, Mark Baitey also shone on his debut,
Gilesgate Queens Head  v New Brancepeth Wmc Score: 5 - 4
new brancepeth went into the game needing 3 points and started really well a nice strike by mom craig hindmarch put them 1 up and chris Dunham later added a 2nd after good build up play.2nd half started and gilesgate upped their game and went on a rout scoring 5 goals, both teams were to blame for a lot of missed chances but it was defeat again for an under achieving new brancepeth side

Sedgefield netpark fc vs Pelaw Grange Dogs FC Score: 2 - 1
Pelaw Grange Dogs FC gave a lack luster performance in this game and it wasn't until the subs came on that they looked anything like they had played in previous seasons. They were 2 nil down and substitute Chris Neve made it 2-1 with only a short period left but they showed more spirit in these last few minutes than they had all game. The team needs to have more confidence and spirit with lack luster performances possibly due to players playing on a Saturday and on a Sunday afternoon. They will have to do a lot better in the remaining fixtures if they want to finish in the top half of the table.
After more than 2mths NETPark had more than 12 players to choose from, both teams had no keepers so outfield players were used. Game started very scrappy then NETPark stared to dominate forcing a lot of corners and half chances. On 16mins one of the corners saw Andrew Shepherd head we'll into the corner 1-0. NETPark didn't take any more chances, Pelaw should have equalized right on half time but Sedgwick saved well.
Second half and pretty much the same, NETPark we're coping well with Pelaw going long to try and get in behind. Sub Hindson scored from a free kick on 80mins 2-0.Pelaw then started to push on and pulled a goal back on 85mins when Sedgwick and Husband lost the flight of the ball in the sun, it hit Husband and fell nicely for a simple tap in 2-1. NETPark held on for a vital 3 points
Second Division

Langley Park rams head v Ferryhill Dynamoes  Score: 3 - 6
Langley park took the lead due to a defensive error, The Dynamoes equalized and then went in front before The rams head levelled at half time. After the break the rams head scored before ferryhill took control and scored 4 goals. Final score 3-6. Ferryhill won an even contest, langley were up against from start with at least 4 regulars missing and people playing out of position. Steven Cummings scored 2 and Daniel Hamilton got other, ferryhill scored late on langley pressed

The Britannia CLS vs Bede Lodge Score: 1 - 0
in much closer game than their previous encounter, the Britannia ran out worthy winners 1-0. With 11 men behind the ball the home side found it difficult to break down Bede Lodge and it was a defensive mistake seized upon by Matthew Bennett that was the difference between the 2 sides.
Framwellgate Moor WMC v Ushaw Moor Cricket Club Score: 2 - 3
tight game, well officiated, umcc goals from Steven Graham, James Richardson and Jay Balfour. Fram took early lead with free kick from Ian Fields. Ushaw scores shortly after to close the half at a tie. Only to see Ushaw extend the lead with another two goals. Fram scored late on but was too little too late.
Third Division

Bishop Middleham fc v west rainton Score: 3 - 1
A good game , Middleham opened the scoring through MOM Sean cook 33 minutes in after a flowing move , in the second half john steel doubled Middleham advantage with a bullet header from a corner , rainton grabbed one back from the penalty spot , but a late goal from tom Olly ensured all 3 points final score 3/1
Washington Jays v Chester waldridge park Score: 2 - 6
Jays took an early lead from Anth Fletcher , waldridge replied immediately , then got a second to lead 2-1 at half-time . Jays conceded 2 penalties early in the second half to fall 4-1 behind and could only respond with a Paul Mariner strike then waldridge scored 2 more to win 6-2. Waldridge Park FC made a winning return to League action with a fine 6-2 win away at Washington Jays. With their last League game being in September Waldridge were caught cold with Washington taking a first minute lead following a mistake from a corner. Within a minute the scores were level when striker Joe Hughes got onto a though ball and lobbing the stranded home keeper. Both sides struggled to get the ball moving and contend with the heavy pitch. Waldridge started to press the home side back with some good possession especially down the left wing with winger Ross Parker in great form. Just before the break the lead was taken by Waldridge when again Hughes finished of a flowing move to fire past the keeper. After half time Waldridge were straight on to the front foot and the pressure brought about the awarding of two penalties which were converted by Hughes for his hat trick and fellow striker Chris Days. With midfielder Richie Ellis putting in a strong performance alongside Captain Chris Rooney constant pressure was being put on the home defense and an error by the home keeper allowed Hughes to get his fourth. Washington gave a spirited ending to the game and were rewarded with further goal ending a good passing move. Hughes capped a man of the match performance with a fifth goal late getting on the end of another flowing move.
Bowburn FC vs Pittington FC   Score: 2 - 7
Bowburns goals both came from Daniel Baxter the first a looped shot into the corner of the net in the 28th minute his 2nd goal in the 37th came after a scramble which allowed Daniel to tap in after good work by Andrew Robson.
Chester le Street Whitehills v Lumley fc Score: 8 - 1
comfortable win for the whitehills. Whitehills opened the scoring before Alan Thompsons penalty deservedly levelled. It was 1-1 at half time, but the second half saw a Lumley collapse and Whitehills ran. Out 8-1 winners.
Chester St Cuthberts – High handenhold Bird Inn Fc  Score: 3 - 4
Cuthberts lost out by the odd goal in 7 against the Bird after some shocking defending in the first half gifted the visitors 4 goals and a 4-2 half time lead. Clarkson completed his hat trick during a much improved second half for Cuthberts, but the Bird hung on to win.
Burnmoor J.F.C V Wash Honest Boys Score: 3 - 3
good game all round bother teams battled it out matching each other goal for goal
Sedgefield Social Club FC V Durham County Seniors Score: 2 - 4
A hard fought game, which ebbed and flowed sedgefield were always behind and with ten minutes to go the score was tied at 2-2 when a long punt from Durham’s keeper was converted making the score 3-2. Sedgefield went three at the back and pushed for an equalizer but were caught on the break and Durham ran out 4-2 winners.
Fourth Division

Chester Relton Terrace v Bowburn Athletic Score: 3 – 1

The score didn't justify the quality football played by Athletic, a change in formation allowed a more attacking game and with 1 goal from over 20 chances we need to finish better.
Ferryhill community hub vs Gilesgate the Shoes Score: 7 - 2
Ferryhill deserved the victory against a poor gilesgate side whose defending was shocking at times. Davis Wile scoring twice for the shoes.

Quarrington Hill wmc V Washington Cherry tree Score: 2 - 5
A decent game of football, Cherry tree netting quite early on. However they were then pegged back after 2 Hill goals in 10 minutes after some good team play and counter attacking. The hosts went in to half time 2-1 up thanks to the goals from Brown & C Tingley. The visitors were soon back in the game when they scored in the very early stages of the half. The visitors then took the lead and further went on to secure victory late on with a penalty. Despite not scoring in the second half, the Hill always looked dangerous when attacking. Also worth mentioning was a good penalty save down low from keeper John Cairns in the Hill's goal. MOM Jordan Nicholson

Pass and Go League Cup

Ferryhill Celtic v Houghton Mill   Score: 6 - 0
Ferryhill Celtic are through to the semifinals of the Pass 'n' Go League Cup after a 6-0 home win against Houghton Mill All Stars. The score line was a bit unjust on Mill who battled really well against strong opposition but individual errors proved costly.
Sacriston WMC v Sherburn Village Lambton Arms Score: 0 - 5
A semi-final completely dominated by SVLA. The away side scored 4 goals in the first half to shatter the hopes of the home side who tried hard but were never in the game. A more even second half saw the home side come back into the game but they never created an any clear cut chances to reduce the arrears. SVLA added a fifth goal with ten minutes to go and never looked in any danger of letting their opponents back into the game.
A game where Sacriston never got started and Sherburn score three early goals which made it an uphill battle for the home side. Gary Dodd’s (4) and Scott Arnott (1) scored the goals for the visitors

Dubmire wmc v Chilton wmc Score 4-7
Chilton won 7-4 through goals from Kieran Harnett (2), Neil Searby, David Gibson (2), Craig Mason and Joe Cornbill. MOM went to Curt Pickford.

Pass and Go League Cup - Round 3: Chester le Street Waldridge Park AFC 8 (Christopher Days 2, Joseph Hughes 4, Steven Dobbing 2) , Kelloe WMC 7 (James Oates, Lee Peachey, Liam Beeston, MiChael Pattison 4) ; Waldridge Park FC v Kelloe FC  Score: 8 - 7
Extra time was needed as Waldridge Park FC staged an amazing comeback to carry off a shock win against Premier League leaders Kelloe FC at the Riverside. The game start off at a very quick pace with both teams passing the ball well causing problems for each defence. Waldridge were first to score with striker Joe Hughes finishing off a fast flowing move. The lead was short lived as Kelloe worked the ball into the home area and their striker lifted the ball into the net. On the stroke of half time a defensive mistake allowed Hughes to get a second and almost immediately on the restart he got his hat trick with a terrific solo run. After the break Kelloe showed their experience and took the game to Waldridge. The home defence was continuously stretched and gave away free kicks from which they were punished. Kelloe scored from two free kicks and a penalty for hand ball along with two solo goals to take a 6-3 lead into the last 5 minutes. Waldridge were then also awarded a penalty following a handball which Chris Days hammered home. With a new sense of urgency Waldridge piled the pressure on and another quick break saw Hughes lift a shot over the keeper into the net. With the visitors defence panicking Waldridge again broke through and with nearly the last kick of the game Steven Dobbing smashed the ball home to amazingly take the game to unexpected extra time. Waldridge were now taking the game to Kelloe and took the lead when a Chris Davison long pass out of defence was met by Hughes who squared for Days to fire home. The lead was increased when a quick break caught Kelloe upfield and Dobbing finished well. Kelloe were awarded a penalty which was the last kick of the game to make the final score 8-7 to Waldridge. This was a game which was played in a good spirit by both teams and was a great advertisement for Sunday football

0-1 Down After 5 Mins Came Back To Lead 2-1 Before The Break Then added another 2 to finish them of good game down to 10 men 30 mins to go . Good game played under poor weather conditions saw SVLA take an early lead but were pegged back by the home team who went in at half time 2-1 in the lead. The home side increased the lead from a hotly disputed free kick and following a home player being sent off SVLA closed the gap to 3-2. SVLA pushed for a equalising third goal but were caught on the break by the home side who made it 4-2 in the dying moments. A hardly fought contest was unfortunately spoiled by numerous mystifying refereeing decisions.

Sacriston Cricket Club Fc v Coxhoe Wmc  Score: 2 - 1
In very difficult conditions Sacriston played the better in both halves and created more chances. They went one nil up with Ryan Grayson then 2 nil up 5 mins after through Andrew collinson , credit to cox hoe they huffed and puffed and never gave in. The score finished 2-1 but should of been a lot to Sacriston
Hetton Lyons Cricket Club  V New Durham  Score: 5 - 0
New Durham Were 2nd Best All Game And Deserved What We Got, Hetton took the lead on 6 minutes with a well placed strike from Elliott Cutts. Cutts doubled his tally on 32 minutes with a penalty of a foul in the box. On the stroke of half time Conor Winter grabbed a goal to make it 3 - 0 at the break. In the second half goals from Denver Morris and Max Stoker completed the victory.

The first Derby of the day. A close first half saw the Keys take the lead after a good ball through the middle saw their forward squeeze the ball past jfc's encroaching keeper to see his effort just creep inside the far post 1-0 keys.8Mins l8r McKenna scored a cracking equaliser with a powerful header from 12 yds flying into the top right hand corner of the net 1-1, in the 35 min McKenna scored his 2nd when he arrived on the blind side and once again directed his header home from close range, 2-1 jfc's, just before half time jfc were awarded a pen for handball and up stepped Anderson who fired wide 2-1 H-T.The 2nd half saw jfc take more control of the game scoring twice more through Laidler and a well taking goal by Briggs firing into the top of the net from 12 yds 4-1 JFC F-T . Good Start By The Home Team With An Early Goal By Alan Wilson, Dominated Possession In The First Half But Failed To Score, Going In At Half Time 2-1 Down!!! Take nothing away from Dubmire for the first 30 mins they battled and held Hilda at bay. The break through came when Chris Cuthbertson fired home the First goal .
Dubmire still battling scored there equaliser just before half time. Two substitutions then changed the game for Hilda , an injection of pace brought the second goal as sub Aaron Sheriff crossed the ball for Yippy to head the ball into the net.
Final goal was again driven into the net by Chris Cuthbertson proving a thorn in Dubmires side.
Houghton Chilton Lodge V Chilton Wmc  Score: 5 - 2
Houghton Chilton lodge doubled their points total for the season with a 5-2 home win over visitors Chilton wmc. it was Chilton wmc who took the lead in the opening 10 minutes. a corner was swung in and met unchallenged by a Chilton wmc player who headed the ball high into the net. the away side nearly doubled their lead shortly after, a snapshot from the edge of the box looked to have caught defty out who managed to get down and palm it off the post, the ball rolled across the goal line where ian Davidson managed to clear to safety. Chilton lodge then drew level, a neat one-two between ian macpherson and magic craig Johnson saw young macpherson clear and pass the ball into the net. magic Johnson then found himself on the scoresheet giving Chilton lodge a 2-1 lead, magic Johnson gambled and met a looping through ball from lee wright with his head past the keeper. 2-1 ht.10 mins into the 2nd half Chilton wmc grabbed an equaliser from the spot, Andrew bowes was adjudged to have handled a goal bound shot and referee paul burt pointed to the spot. the Chilton wmc spot-taker left defty with no chance smashing the ball into the top corner. 2-2. gav tate then restored Chilton lodges lead, magic craig Johnson again the provider with a pin point cross which gav tate finished with another header. 3-2. fairplay to Chilton wmc who refused to accept defeat and had a 15 minute spell where they were thwarted by several saves from lodges man of the match Graeme defty to keep his side in front. lee wright then made it 4-2 to Chilton lodge, magic craig Johnson again the provider laying the ball off to wright who hit a fierce low effort into the bottom corner from 20 yards. the result was put put beyond doubt with 10 mins to go, Andrew bowes lobbed the ball over the defence where top scorer russ meenaghan finished with aplomb lifting the ball over the keeper into the net to make it 5-2. Chilton wmc continued to create chances in the last 10 mins but were unable to find a way past defty. ft 5-2.
Sedgefield Net Park v Brandon Sports Club  Score: 0 - 3
Brandon Sports club recorded a very good victory away from home in difficult conditions. Both sides tried to play proper football even if the weather tried its best to stop that, but it was Brandon who performed the better and won 3-0 with goals from Blades and Bryden before the break and then Morris after. A decent game off football with Brandon the more clinic in front of goal. A 3-0 victory keeps them top of the league.

The Britannia returned to league action and picked up a well deserved 3 points due to a dominant second half display. Darren Redfearn opened the scoring after being sent clear by Brinsley Sheridan. The home side equalised just after half time but within 5 minutes the Brit were ahead when Sheridan ran unchallenged from halfway and dinked the onrushing keeper. Within seconds the score was 3-1 Ash Balfour setting up Dan Johnson for his 13th of the season. Matty Bennett scored an acrobatic 4th before Balfour was teed up by Alex Mckie to make it 5-1. The home side got a late consolation to make it 5-2 and 11 wins in a row for the Britannia. Chester won an entertainigng which was never 5-2, langley feel hard done by as created plenty of chances.

Ferryhill Dynamoes V High Handen Hold Bird  Score: 4 - 3
High Handen took an early lead then The Dynamoes equalized with a fantastic through ball from Ricky Morland for Reece Marshall to run onto and slot home, next Scott Maughan raced onto a defense splitting ball from Reece Marshall to round the keeper making it 2-1 at half time. After the break High Handen equalized with a deflected header. Jonathon Mason scored a penalty making it 3-2 to Ferryhill only for High handen to score again, then in the dying minutes up popped Callum Walton to head in a rebound giving Ferryhill the spoils. Final score 4-3
Chester Red lion v Framwellgate Moor Wmc Score: 5 - 2
Good local derby with red lions quality coming through in the end. a tight game played with the scores level at 2-2 , before red lion scored 3 goals to run away with the win.
Ushaw Moor Cricket Club  v Chester St Cuthberts Social  Score: 2 - 4
Cuthberts got another win in the league this Sunday after a good display away to Ushaw Moor Cricket Club.
Cuthberts edged the opening period but Ushaw were always dangerous on the counter. Cuthberts took the lead mid way through the first half from a set play, Daniel James' first goal for the club with a brilliant header from a free kick which he had himself won. however Ushaw profited from one of their counter attacks with the forward rounding the keeper to slot in the equaliser.1-1 HTCuthberts came out and dominated the second half, although taking the lead in fortunate circumstances. Winger Craig Cawthorns cross looping over the 'keeper and in off the far post. They then went 3 and 4-1 up through Josh Fryer, and Antony Bell with a belter of a first goal for the club.Ushaw pulled one back in the final 10 minutes but Cuthberts saw out the victory fairly comfortably.

Durham County scored a magnificiant seven away to stun Hetton New Inn courtsy of a Mark Hughes hat-trick, two from the penalty spot, a Lee Walker thunderbolt of a free kick from 25yards, Adam Birks's fine individual effort and possibly for the first time in the league goals from both goalkeepers. First Liam Anthonys dropped kick from the edge of his area bounced over the stranded home keeper into the top left hand corner, and then short of substitutes , goal keeper Liam Locheran played out the final moments of match up-front, he latched onto a Jack Jones through ball to beat the off-side trap and slid the ball cooly into the bottom left corner with his first touch.

A entertaining game on a heavy pitch , middleham took the lead when a good ball into the box by Chris Moody was finished Cooley by dave redfern low down to the keepers right , however Washington equalised virtually straight away following poor marking on a corner , middleham again took the lead just before half time with a goal from MOM Callum Johnstone and went into the break 2/1 up , second half middleham pressed the divide button and have away two penalties in quick succession both were converted and Washington had a 3/2 advantage this spurred them on and following more bad defending middleham found themselves 4/2 down and chasing the game , they did pull another back again through Johnston , but it was to little to late as,Washington weren't going to let this one skip and added a fifth to put the game to bed with 5 minuets to go ...final score 5/3

Pity Me Lambton Hounds vs Ferryhill Community Hub  Score: 0 - 6
The match was relatively one sided from the off. Ferryhill Hub found their form from the previous week very quickly and it wasn't long before they where piling the pressure on and looking for that all in important ice breaker. It came in the form of a well taken volley on the edge of the 18 yard box from the Hub's veteran midfielder JP Poulter. Pity Me fought hard to try and find an equaliser early on with a impressive shot which goalkeeper Daniel Thompson managed to turn round the post with a fantastic save. However, it was the Hub who managed to prevail with some very nice passing football they created a number of chances and scoring 4 goals in the first half. the pick of the bunch was from a incredible 50 yard long ball from Chris O'Hara who picked out Daniel 'Pacman' Gilyeat who maged to calmy slot it away. The second half saw the Hub sit off slightly whilst the Pity Me number 8 stepped up his game in midfield to try and raise the work efforts of his team mates. However, his enthusiasm went without success as the Hub managed to press on and score another two well worked for goals. Most notably was from the man of the match who topped off a brilliant performance with a 30 yard floater over the keepers head into the top right corner of the goal. The final score Pity me 0 - 6 Ferryhill Hub.

In An Early Ko Both Teams Looked Sloppy, Pittington Took The Lead, Then Bowburn Picked Up And Played The Better Football Closing Pittington Down Fast And Strong, With 7 Mins To Go Bowburn Were 4 - 2 Up And Looking For There First League Win Of The Seasn, But A Spirited Fight Back From Pittington Scoring 3 With 7 Mins To Go Ruined Bowburns Day, 5 -4 To Pittington
Quarrington Hill FC V Esh Winning CC  Score: 2 - 2
Another very fair game between these two sides.Very competitive in the right way. The game overall was great for the neutral to watch with some great football on display in some frankly horrific weather conditions.The Hill could have taken a lead mid-way through the first half when they were awarded a penalty but were unable to capitalise. Esh took the lead in the first half with the Hill responding shortly afterwards.Esh took the lead once again in the second half but a late Q Hill goal evened the scores after a phenomenal save from the visitors' keeper fell to the feet of Luke Jury who finished with the rebound.With around 10 minutes to go both teams continued to press, the visitors slightly more so than the home side and nearly got the breakthrough when their striker was 1-on-1 with young keeper Jordan Nicholson but the lad between the sticks did his job to beat the ball away with the ball then being pounced on and cleared by Phil Jones covering.Again, a very good game to watch and a very well contested game by both teams, a great advert for Sunday League football

The Big Club’s dreams All England Cup glory were dashed at the first hurdle when Jason Steele’s side were comfortably beaten on Sunday.Aycliffe WMC were dumped out of the FA Carlsberg Sunday Cup at Newton Aycliffe FC’s Moore Lane Park, with Winlaton Commercial gaining revenge for last season’s defeat at the same stage last season.Aycliffe were given an early boost when Winlaton’s David Fitzpatrick was red carded for an awful lunge on Lewis Wing as early as the third minute.There was a scare for the hosts in the 11th minute when Steven Aiston had ball in the net, but adjudged offside, from Ross Peareth’s square pass.Scott Martindale had Aycliffe ‘keeper Gareth Young at full stretch from 25 yards, with Young saving for a corner, but he couldn’t deny the visitors’ opening goal after 27 minutes.A free-kick was sent into the box and Martindale’s floated header from 16 yards deceived Young and drops under the bar.Lewis Wing’s 49th minute free-kick was deflected narrowly wide, and Winlaton doubled their lead in the 51st minute when Darren Griffiths was penalised for handball in the area, and Martindale converted.Winlaton made it three just five minutes later when Will Kelly was caught in possession and Mark Fitzpatrick ran from halfway before slotting past Young.Former Aycliffe forward Warren Byrne stung the palms of Ian Gray in the visitors’ goal in the 72nd minute before Winlaton’s Aiston hit the post following a strong solo run with 10 minutes to go.The Club’s consolation goal came in the 83rd minute after Mark Wood won a penalty and Byrne slotted with a cheeky spot-kick.Aycliffe WMC: Young, Robinson (DiMambro), Wood, Jackson (Wright), Griffiths, Kelly, Hansen (Houlahan), Owen, Byrne, Wing, Cooper.

A close fought encounter in the first half, with the visitors going ahead after a great cross by Miller from the right saw McKenna come in at the far post and volley into the goal from close range. Soon after a good move by the home team put their number 7 through who passed the ball back to an oncoming forward to slot home from 3 yds 1-1. The home team whilst passing the ball back after an injury put the ball into the goal by accident 2-1 to the home team, they then let wjfc score from the re-start showing good sportsmanship 2-2.
The game changed for the worst when the home team had 2 players sent off within 10 mins of each other and the visitors soon took advantage of this and went 3-2 up.The home team equalised when. Miller brought down the left winger, ND.scored from the spot kick 3-3. The home team held out till the end with the visitors missing several chances.

The Goals Came From Chris Dunham,A Fantastic Left Foot Strike From All Of 35 Yards By Michael Nichol And The Last A Very Well Worked Team Goal That Mom Harry Flynn With The Simple Finish Rounded Up The Scoring!Alot Better But Still Room For Improvement. Frustrating day again for NETPark with more missing than available, frustration continue after 10mins with their striker coming off injured. Credit to Brancepath who took full advantage taking their chances with their second goal been a great strike.

In a fixture that alway produces goals the Dogs broke the Ice when Hilda's Centre Half failed to clear the ball allowing pelaw to slot the ball home.Hilda pressed and as a poor defensive ball was picked up by Chris Watson and rounded the keeper to equalise.Still pressing the ball fell to Chris Cuthbertson who cutting in from the right slotted past the keeper to make the score 2-1 to Hilda Park. After half time a free kick from the right saw Stephen Gregory connect with a header deflected into the goal to make it 3-1. Stephen Gregory. Hilda Park outplayed Pelaw for about the first hour of this match to be 2 nil up but Pelaw were still in the game with a goal from Michael Mclean before it was 3-1. Mclean should of scored in the last half hour when only the keeper to beat but Liam Bennett for Hilda came out quickly and the chance was missed. Shortly afterwards he hurried a shot after been clear again as Hilda were quickly closing him down. David Henderson was then tripped in the box and Neil Worley made it 3-2 for an exciting finish. Pelaw were well on top but weren't getting any real shots off at goal as Hilda Park packed their defence. Then a breakaway by Hilda Park saw the Pelaw Grange Dogs short at the back and a clinical finish made it 4-2 to Hilda Park. This didn't demoralise the Dogs though as they fought to the end to try and get another goal but the passing needs to improve along with more players willing to shoot at goal.

A hard fought competitive game, Sedgefield opened the scoring after a great outside of the foot cross from Davy Neil was finished with great aplomb by Lewis White. Hetton soon equalised when a cross from the left was headed in at the back post. In the second half Hetton were reduced to ten men after the left back was sent off for a professional foul. Sedgefield once again took the lead when a mishit shot from substitute Danny Sigsworth landed at James McPartlands feet and he duly dispatched into the net. From then on it looked like three points to Sedgefield until five minutes from time a wonderstrike from 25 yards flew into the top corner and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Durham County FC v Burnmoor FC  Score: 1 - 3
Durham County were undone by some poor defending and two set pieces, firstly Jordan Haywood gave away an early penalty which was converted, Captain Lee Walkers presence led to the equaliser from close range but it may have been an own goale, Burnmoor then took the lead again with a simple tap in, and killed the game off scoring directly from a corner kick.

A very poor performance from Q Hill who failed to string more than a few passes together at any one time. This, coupled with the home side scoring with almost every opportunity that they had, ensured a very grim day for the Hill
Following a tough start to the season as a newly formed team Ferryhill started this game with a new found level of confidence looking like they have finally 'gelled' as a team. They played some very nice possession football and were rewarded with an early lead in the first 10 minutes which saw a good build up for Chris O'Hara to slot home. As the game settled down slightly there were a number of chances for both teams but it was Ferryhill who managed to break away again with Jason Leary hitting a well struck shot from just outside the box. The third goal came from Neil Birbeck who's hard work down the wing finally paid off as he managed to get on the end of a set piece. Just before the whistle was blown for half time Chris O'Hara managed to pull a pearler out of the bag; he saw the opportunity and laced the ball from roughly 40 yards out lobbing the keeper. 4-0 at half time.The second half did not see much change with Ferryhill Hub dictating the pace of play for the majority of the half. However, a slight lapse in concentration at the back allowed Q'Hill to slip behind the defense and pull a goal back, giving them a slight glimmer of hope for a comeback. But it wasn't long before Ferryhill Hub were piling the pressure on again and creating good chances. Not looking to stop there F'Hill made a substitution up front in the name of Andrew Briggs who managed to come and bag himself 2 goals; his first goal of the season and hopefully many more to come. To cap of a promising performance from the Hub the team captain exploited a bit of space outside the box and managed to smash home a 25 yard shot into the bottom corner to end the game 7-1 to the Ferryhill community Hub.

Scrappy first half missed a few chances but scored 2 then second half 3 changes and then 1 sided game
Lampton Hounds V Pelton Crown Score: 1 - 7
Pelton Rushed To A 5 0 Half Time Lead With Goals From Kris Lawton Colin Thompson 2 Dean Stewart Jon Morris . After The Break Kris Lawton Scored A 6th And With His 1st Touch Scott Simpson Buried A Right Foot Volley . Pelton Then Made 3 Subs And Game Was Over. Not much can be said about the defensive performance from the home side. They were all over the place in the first half, not picking up their men, weak challenges and a couple of bad mistakes by the keeper allowed Pelton to score 5 goals by half time. Pity Me did have a chance at 2-0 down to peg a goal back with a penalty but the usually reliable Allport dragged the opportunity softly past the post. The second half started much the same with Pelton grabbing 2 goals early on, one of which a great first time volley from a right wing cross. The home side made a triple substitution and the change in personnel seemed to change the game completely. Pity me were then the side on top and played some lovely football to watch and started to create chance after chance but just couldn't put them away. This was a combination of bad luck, good saves by Pelton's keeper and a couple of poopr finishes. They finally did get a goal, well worked at the edge of the box and a good curling finish in to the corner from the 18 yard line. This was little more than a consolation goal, although the home side did still make a few more chances before the final whistle. The score line showed a comfortable win for Pelton, but the second half performance could have made it a different story if Pity Me had converted some of their chances.

Langley Won An Entertaining Game , Gilesgate Were 2-1 Up Half Time, With Langley First Half Goal From Steven Cummings, Langley Then Played Much Better The 2nd Half And Hit The Woodwork 3 Times But With Goals From Laverick(2), Michael Watson, Steven Mickle And Daniel Hamilton First Goal For Club. Gilesgate can feel proud of them selves as they took a team two divisions higher than them and gave them a decent game despite having 5 first team regulars injured. Mark Emerson and Chris Mathewson gave The Shoes the lead at half time but the rams took over in the second half to win the game. Scoreline a bit unfair on us but all the best to Rams they are a good set of lads.

What Started Off As A Good Fast Paced Game Turned A Little Sour After Half A Hour When The Usher Moor Captain Was Sent Off For Deliberately Stamping , Middleham Took Advantage And Went 1/0 Up Before Half Time With A Fine Finish From John Cook , Second Half Was Much The Same Middleham Doing All The Pressing And Usher On The Back Foot , Middleham Made The Extra Man Count And Added Another From Sean Cook , Unfortunately Usher Moor Came For A Fight Not A Football Match And Some Ugly Scenes Accrued , To Be Honest I Was Glad To Get The Game Over
Waldridge Park FC v Gilesgate Queens Head  Score: 1 - 4
Waldridge Park FC's unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end when they lost 4-1 to Gilesgate Queens Head in the JD Taxis Guards Cup. It was Waldridge who took the game to the Gilesgate early on and only some excellent goalkeeping by the visitors keeper kept the scores level. Queens Head took the lead when a long ball found their centre forward McManus free and he finished well. Their lead was extended when Waldridge failed to clear their lines and the ball fell to a Gilesgate player who found the net. Another long ball by the visitors again found McManus who again finished well. After the break Waldridge got an early chance to get back into the game when a penalty was awarded however this was saved by the Gilesgate keeper. They did pull one back when Waldridge man of the match Lloyd McGee struck a 25 yard shot which hit the bottom corner. Almost constant pressure was soaked up by Gilesgate who rounded off the scoring with a long clearance by the keeper finding McManus to run and get his hat trick.
Brandon Sports Club v Chester-le-street Relton Terrace AFC  Score: 4 - 1
The home side progressed in the Guards Cup after comfortably overcoming Relton Terrace. Goals from Kidd (2), David Fort and Morris put Brandon up 4-0 at the break. They'll be disappointed with their second half performance however as they took their foot off the gas allowing Relton to score a consolation goal. For the visitors though, they'll feel it was just rewards for their hard work and endeavour in the whole game. Despite being 4 down, they kept grafting and were deserved of their second half bonus.

Bowburn took the lead through Daniel Baxter when he broke away to poke the ball under the advancing keeper, Daniels second goal was scored in the same manner using his pace to race clear beating the advancing keeper. Esh Winning pulled a goal back for the score to be 2-1 at half time.Within 5 minutes of the restart Bowburn had a free kick awarded approx 25 yards out to the right of the keeper goal for Daniel Crisp to step up & perfectly place it to the keepers left. Esh winning altered theior shape & immediately pushed more players forward eventually running out winners 6-3 with Rutherford also putting into his own net. The game was played in a competitve manner at all times with some lovely football played by both teams.

Sherburn Village Lambton Arms v East Rainton  Score: 3 - 2
Sherburn Village Lambton Arms ran out winners in a closely fought cup match. East Rainton took the lead following a defensive error and held the 1-0 lead until half time despite constant pressure by the home team. The Lambton Arms continued to dominate the match and had a purple patch early in the second half scoring 3 well worked goals to take a well deserved 3-1 lead. East Rainton rallied late in the game and snatched a second goal from the penalty spot but never looked likely to get back on level terms. Lambton Arms defended well to the end and deservedly won 3-2. Good game between 2 good sides with Sherburn winning the game 3-2 with a brace from Karl Hutchinson with Munro and Gaunt scoring for a East Rainton, the game was marred with a suspected leg break for East Rainton FC midfielder Alec Chapman

In the third round of the League Cup Houghton Mill All Stars had an excellent 5-1 win against neighbours Houghton Chilton Lodge.Mill made a terrific start to the match and were 2-0 ahead after just ten minutes. A defensive clearance from Philip Thompson set Shaun Corner away who sprinted at goal from forty yards out before rounding keeper Defty - and Corner scored again for number two lobbing the keeper after an excellent chip pass from Luke Clark. Mill's Philip Thompson then cleared of the line from Chilton's Craig Johnson before Mill's Andrew Hopper netted from a tight right hand angle for 3-0 at the break.Mill began the second half similar to the first and Stephen Parkin blasted home for number four on forty seven minutes. Lee Wright pulled one back for the visitors on seventy eight minutes and five minutes later Mill's man of the match Andrew Hopper slid in to knock home a Shaun Corner right wing cross for 5-1. Sacriston  Wmc v Ferryhill Dynamoe   Score: 3 - 2
Unlucky Dynamoes go down fighting.
Ferryhill got off to a bad start when they conceded a sloppy goal after not getting started this stirred them into action and they started to dominate without any luck. After the interval the Dynamoes pulled one back through some neat work from Reece Marshall who put through Stephen Ward to finish from close range. Sacriston took the lead again before Ferryhill took full control and created many good opportunities, Scott Maughan beat 2 players and played in Ward who dummied 3 defenders and slotted past the keeper to make it 2-2. Ferryhill continued to create opportunities, going close were Brett Maughan, Luke Carr, Scott Maughan and Ryan Gamsby then in the last minute a defensive mistake cost the Dynamoes dearly when a weak shot was deflected into his own net by Ryan Gamsby. A very even game was settled by a last gasp Tom Winter effort with a little help from a deflection.
Sacriston had been two up with full debutant Adam Wilson opening the scoring from David Winter's through ball, Winter then doubled the advantage with a fine move finished off after Ryan Nicholson's cross.Ferryhill were good value in the game and could argue they had chances to win. Tim Asquith was outstanding in the Sacriston goal
Stepys Coaches Trophy- Round 3: The Britannia Chester-le-Street 6 (Ashley Balfour 2, Brinsley Sheridan, Daniel Johnson 2, Matthew Bennett) , Washington Honest Boy 2;
The Britannia CLS FC v Washington Honest Boy  Score: 6 - 2
The home side took the lead after 20 mins when after a neat move involving Dan Johnson and Ash Balfour was finished by Johnson. The visitors hit back immediately through a quickly taken free kick. A lovely through ball from Brinsley Sheridan was then finished with aplomb by Balfour, again however the Honest Boys equalised through a stunning strike. Just after half time came the turning point, Steven Kirkup was sent off for the home side and this spurred the side on, scoring 4 times In the second half through Balfour, Johnson, Sheridan and Matty Bennett despite being down to ten men. The game finished 6-2 to the Brit.

Washington Cross Keys v Sedgefield St Edmunds  Score: 3 - 0
Sedgefield dominated the 1st half, hitting the bar and having two cleared off the line, but went in 1-0 down at half time after a Darren Green header in 1st half stoppage time. A better 2nd half display from Washington resulted in a 3-0 victory after two late goals from Liam Young and Gary Allen. A game St Eds should never have lost. Andrew beamson hit the Bar from 2 yards out then Adam Strong missed an even better chanceat the far post. "nd half much the same with St Eds having plenty of possession and chances but nothing to show for it. Beamson went off with nasty hamstring injury which summed up St Ed's day. 2 goals in last 5 mins with St Eds looking for an equaliser ended a bad day all round.
New Durham wmc vs kelloe wmc  Score: 2 - 3
In a game where kelloe took time to get involved, they eventually took a grasp on the game when charlton cut in from the right and rifled in the bottom corner from 30 yards. Kelloe doubled their lead when Davis flicked the ball over a defenders head and volleyed ferociously into the net. Davis got his 2nd when he rounded the goalkeeper and finished from a tight angle. 3-0 kelloe at half time. New Durham rallied in the 2nd half with 2 quickfire goals but it kelloe still looked dangerous with peachey hitting the post and Davis twice denied his hat trick by the new Durham goalkeeper. New Durham pressured the kelloe defence with long throws but kelloe held on for a good 3 points, final score 3-2 kelloe new durham were 3-0 down at half time, due to bad defending and bad ref decisions 2nd half new durham pressed kelloe , and were back in it when stevie bowes scored. a minute later mark wild scored again .durham pressed for the 3rd and nearly got it when it was cleared of the line, but kelloe held on for the win.

Sherburn Lambton Arms  V New Brancepeth  Score: 3 - 0
with a very depeleted side new brancepeth struggled to break down sherburn who were the better of the sides,plenty of effort and application but not enough to get a result. A welcome return to form for the Lambton Arms who dominated a one sided match. Lambton took the lead early in the game and should have added a second goal from the penalty spot but did not hit the target. Lambton continued to control the game but missed numerous opportunities before the break. Two quick goals early in the second half sealed the match against a New Brancepeth side who fought all the way to the final whistle.
Sedgefield NETPark v Dubmire WMC  Score: 2 - 1
A game that flowed from end to end, NETPark took their early chances going 2-0 up after 15mins with goals for Ben Smith and a great finish by Martyn Musgrave. Dubmire had some good chances but couldn't find that killer touch.
After 60mins a combination of a slip by the NETPark keeper and some poor marking allowed an unmarked Dubmire player a simple header to make it 2-1. Both teams then went for the next goal but NETPark held firm for a valuble three points.
Second Division

Bede Lodge V Chester St Cuthberts   Score: 0 - 6
Bede Lodge Having No Luck Again, Having Played Fairly Well, Although St Cuthberts Played Well And Deserved The Win. Cuthberts returned to league action with a good 6 nil victory against last seasons division 3 winners. MOM Bailes hit 4 from central midfield including one cracker after a one two with Fryer. Fryer himself was again on the scoresheet with Jon Morrison rounding off the scoring

Durham County Seniors V Washington Jays  Score: 5 - 0
A seriously weakened jays team struggled to get going and as a result were 4-0 down at halftime . A slightly better performance in the second half couldnt stop Durham scoring again for a deserved 5-0 win.Durham produced a fine display hitting five goal without reply thanks to a James Anthony hat-trick and a Mark Hughes double, Durham were denied a sixth at the end when Daniel Hall crossed from the left and Lee Walker headed home but the referee adjudged the goal off-side.
Chester whitehill v Bishop Middleham Fc Score: 4 - 0
Another poor showing from middleham , saw them over run and outplayed by whitehills , half time saw them 2/0 down and another 2 goals added in the second half , whitehills were rampant throughout and look a very decent side.. extremely good performance with an outstanding impact made by brad graham with 2 goals from the bench The away side started strongly and deservedly took the lead after 15 mins when after a corner wasn't cleared a Bird Inn player was able to head home unmarked. The Britannia only came to life after half an hour when after good interplay in the midfield area, Dan Johnson struck home from an acute angle. The home side were now in the ascendancy and deservedly took the lead midway through the 2nd half when Scott Hope was felled in the box and Andrew Robinson made it 2-1 from the spot. After a fine run from Michael Roberts, he beat the keeper at his front post to make 3-1. A late penalty from the Bird made for a fraught last couple of minutes, but the home side did enough to see out the game
Sedgefield Social Club V Burnmoor JFC  Score: 3 - 2
A keenly contested game, however, sedgefield were always in the ascendancy and ran out 3-2 victors. The game started with 50/50 game play until a defensive mistake from burnmoor put the home team in the lead then in the last minuet of the first half sedgfield caught burnmoor on the break scoring their second goal.second half a few changes to formation and subs burnmoor started to push dominating the game then ross gaunt hits the target in the 53rd min,sedgfield then scored their 3rd with a debaitable offside goal but burnmoor kept applying the pressure only to be denied by the home teams keeper stopping several shots until daniel mcbeth scored in the 78th min
Fourth Division

Bowburn Athletic v Gilesgate Shoes  Score: 2 - 3
Athletic took the lead with only 5 minutes gone thanks to a super strike by Craig Blair, the Shoes equalised s few minutes later then scored their 2nd just before half time. In the second half Athletic put the pressure on the Shoes and were awarded a penalty and up stepped Craig Blair to equalise the score 2 - 2 everything to play for now. With what we thought was 15 minutes left The Shoes took advantage of the wind and took the lead, Athletic then went on the attack again looking for the equaliser with what we thought was 5 minutes to go but the Referee blew the final whistle. Both teams started badly in a scrappy start but Bowburn took the lead after a well made goal. Gilesgate instantly equalised with another rocket from Marm Emerson after a good head on by David Wile.After that the Shoes took control and started playing thier football with Adam Baister absolutely torturing the Bowburn right back with his pace. The Shoes took the lead when Emmerson found Wile wjo did the keeper with a lovely chip to make sure the shoes had the lead. Half time 1-2
Bowburn started the second half well again put could not make any inroads until a soft penalty gave them the chance to draw level which the taker calmly dispatched to make it all square.The game then went all scrappy and true to form a route one goal won the game. Goalkeeper Lee blated the ball up davis wile who made no mistake to win the game for the shoes.Overall a draw would have been fair but a welcome three points.
Quarrington Hill Fc V Relton Terrace  Score: 1 - 4
quarrington started the brighter during the early stages, taking the lead half way through the first half after Luke Jury scored a well taken volley from 10 yards after a cross from the right .after the goal Relton got back into the game and found an equaliser 5 mins before the break ,after Miller Fletcher hit the net. the second half was dominated by the relton who looked a new team after the break . mark swift put relton into the lead after cutting inside the left and finding the net . Miller Fletch than added his second goal of the game , then 70 mins lewis Nicholson added the forth goal . m.o.m. mark swift
Relton deserved their win in a game where they made the most of their chances and the home side didn't capitalise on theirs.A sublime Carl Tingley volley put the Hill ahead, before Relton equalised shortly before half time. An early goal not long after the restart set the tone for the second half with Relton going on to secure what was eventually a fairly comfortable 4-1 away win MOM Luke Jury
Ferryhll Community Hub vs High Shincliffe Avenue  Score: 1 - 2
A very good game football that was well contested by the two sides. In the first half there were a handful of chances for either side but nothing clear-cut as both teams defended well. The second half was a similar affair until Ferryhill made the breakthrough on around 75 minutes with a low drive across goal that nestled into the bottom corner. The Avenue didn't let their heads drop and left-back Jonathan Kirkup whipped in a great cross. The ball fell to man-of-the-match Adam Farrell who teed up Simon Wright who finished well to bring it back to all square with 7 minutes on the clock. Both sides kept battling but it was High Shincliffe who's hard work paid off. Striker Roughley saw a shot bounce back off the post and regained possession. It was squared off for Farrell to cap of his day with a strike into the top right corner to seal the points for the Avenue.

Coxhoe wmc FC vs Pelaw Grange Dogs fC  Score: 5 - 2
The score line of the game doesn't do justice tot the game as it was much closer and more exciting than this with both sides hitting the woodwork and some great saves by both keepers Craig Bain of Pelaw Grange Dogs FC and Tom Orton for Coxhoe WMC FC. In the first half a pass from David Donnelly found David Jeffers just tot the left of goal and he controlled the high ball brilliantly to take it down and round his marker before firing into the left hand corner of the goal to put Pelaw Grange Dogs FC 1 nil up after 14 minutes. Coxhoe responded on 19 m inutes to make it 1 all and then a fierce shot by David Donnelly was deflected passed the keeper to make it 2 -1 to Pelaw Grange Dogs FCCoxhoes Center forward Colin Young on a breakaway made it 2 all on 3" minutes and then Pelaw had a goal disallowed for offside to make it all evens at the interval. After the break Coxhoe went ahead for the first time to make it 3-2 and then probably the deciding goal of the match which looked suspiciously offside Coxhoe went 4-2 ahead. This didn't stop Pelaw pressing forward though and they nearly scored twice more but good gaoling and the post kept the score the same before Coxhoe made it 5-2. Matthew Neve came on for Neil Worley and and Anthony Nicholson came on for Michael Mclean. Coxhoe also made 2 substitutions

Chester Red Lion vs Chester Waldridge Park Score: 2 - 3
Hard fought game for both side with waldridge park just coming out on top In a hard fought Stepys Coaches Trophy fixture it was Waldridge Park FC who came out on top winning 3-2 away at local rivals Chester Le Street Red Lion. In a game largely controlled by the poor pitch and strong wind both teams struggled to get any flowing football going. Waldridge took the lead when striker Chris Days got on the end of Chris Rooney through ball and lifted it over the advancing home keeper. The home keeper was the busiest player on the pitch and pulled off a string of fine saves to keep the Red Lion in the game. Lion equalised when Waldridge failed to clear their lines and the teams went in level at the break. The lead for Waldridge was regained when Days returned the favour with a pass for Rooney to sweep the ball into the net. In the closing stages the Red Lion pressed for an equaliser and were rewarded on 83 minutes when again the ball was not cleared and their forward scored. With the game moving towards extra time a short corner by Waldridge found its way to Steven Dobbing whose pinpoint cross found the head of Man of the Match Days who headed the ball down and into the net for the winner. A great effort by the Waldridge FC team to move into the next round of the Trophy.

The game was played in a competitive spirit with Ferryhill running out clear winners in the end as the scoreline indicates. A very one sided affair with ferryhill going in at half time 7-0 up with goals from Reece Marshall 3, Nathan Carr 3 and Jonathon Mason 1. The second half was pretty much the same with goals from Reece Marshall 1, Jonathon Mason 2 and 1 for Michael Pattison. Final score 11-0

Brandon  Sports V Newton Aycliffe  Wmc  Score: 3 - 4
Fast pace, high tempo game throughout. Good football played by both teams at times. Aycliffe had the better of the early stages and deserved a one-goal lead. Brandon fought back and grabbed an equaliser through Robinson. Second half, Aycliffe again started the brighter and albeit through poor defending, established a 3-1 lead. Brandon grabbed a second through a highly contested penalty and then immediately conceded a weak fourth. A late rally saw a third for Brandon, but Aycliffe played out the final stages to hold on.

Langley felt unlucky to loose this game, With at least 4 regulars missing langley were up against it but played well , hit woodwork 3 times and keeper made some good saves, ferryhill were 2 -0 up and had 2 sent of , michael watson got it to 2-1 but another goal didnt come

Houghton Mill All Stars  v Esh Winning Cricket Club 2  Score: 1 - 2
Esh Winning CC won 2-1 away at Houghton Mill All Stars in round two of the JD Taxi's Guards Cup.
Two first half goals from Jon Hodgson and Dean Taylor were enough to seal a win for the visitors. Mill keeper Sean Simpson pulled off a couple of excellent saves. Mill made a brave second half attempt to rescue the game but the Esh defence held strong until the dying moments of the game when Liam Lusk cut in from the left wing to fire past keeper John Wilson for 2-1.
Durham County Football Association County Cup 3^rd Pre-lim Round

Houghton Chilton Lodge V Washington Juniors  Score: 4 - 3
Houghton Chilton lodge entertained Washington juniors in the county cup 3rd round, Chilton lodge exploded out of the blocks taking the lead within 10 seconds. iain macpherson raced away down the left and caught out the juniors keeper as he cut the ball back across goal where it deflected off the front post and into the path of ross meenaghan who nodded the ball home unmarked. juniors then came close as a ball to the back post post was met with a side foot volley that defty turned around his post. Chilton lodge then doubled their lead, a long throw from si Williamson was met by gav tate who sent a looping header over the keeper and into the net. Chilton lodge were flying at this point and should have extended their lead further before halftime, meenaghan had a penalty waived away as he rounded the keeper who looked to have brought meenaghan down with the goal gaping however the referee thought otherwise. gav tate then thought he had a 2nd tapping home from an Andrew macpherson nod down however the referee adjudged offside much to the disbelief of the Chilton lodge. the referee then again denied chilton lodge a penalty, what looked like a blatant handball by a juniors defender as iain macpherson crossed was seen differently by the man in the middle. 2 mins before halftime the juniors centre half & skipper paul Clarke dragged his side back into the tie with a stunning strike, carrying the ball from his own half unchallenged, Chilton lodge failed to clear as Clarke sent a drive into the top corner from 25 yards leaving defty in goal with no chance. 2-1 ht.2nd half saw the rain arrive however it did not dampen either sides spirits as both teams sensed they could win the tie. just after the hour david firth scored with his first touch after just coming off the bench to give the Chilton lodge a 3-1 win, gav tate dinked a smart ball over the juniors defence where firth smashed the ball across the keeper with his right peg and into the net. juniors then hit back almost immediately to make it 3-2, a move down juniors right saw dan Sinclair smash home unmarked from 6 yards. the Chilton lodge though were in no mood to fold as ross meenaghan grabbed his 2nd of the game and Chilton lodge's 4th as he dispossessed a juniors defender to find himself one on one with the keeper, this time though rather than try to round the keeper meenaghan opened his body up to curl the ball into the net. 4-2. into the final 12 minutes and juniors gave it one last go, an inswinging corner from their left was put under the crossbar for andy ord to nod home virtually on the goal line to make it 4-3. minutes later another corner from the left went over everybody to the back post where a juniors player attempted to knock the ball back across goal, what looked like a good block by gav tate was blown up by the referee who awarded a penalty for handball. Chilton lodge were furious as protests lead by adam summerson and Stephen hall were in vain as Washington juniors had the chance to level up. justice however then ensued as defty guessed the right way and dived to his right to get 2 hands on the ball to keep the ball out of the net. this galvanised the Chilton lodge as they held firm to see the final 10 minutes out despite shouts of timewasting from Washington juniors to deservedly win the tie 4-3. ross meenaghan was awarded the man of the match with his 2 goals and eye catching display to make that 6 goals and 2 man of the matches in 3 county cup games this season.

Chester Waldridge Park v Sherburn Lambton Arms   Score: 10 - 3
Sherburn Lambton Arms never matched the home side and were 4-1 down at the interval. The home team continued their dominance in the second half and added a further 6 goals.Sherburn never got into the game and produced their worst display of the season. Waldridge Park maintained their winning record in every DDSL competition with a resounding 10-3 defeat of 1st Division opponents Sherburn Village Lambton Arms. In a closer game than the scoreline would suggest it was Sherburn who took the game to Waldridge in the early stages with some quick passing football. However Waldridge's pace in attack was soon to take them into a 2 goal lead with strikers Chris Days and Joe Hughes finishing off some fast flowing moves. Sherburn pulled a headed goal back from a corner but Waldridge immediately piled the pressure back on resulting in Hughes scoring and a Steven Dobbing strike after a Days shot hit the post. The visitors were awarded a penalty after the break for handball which was converted. This again spurred Waldridge on and three goals in 5 minutes two further for Hughes and Richard Ellis finished the game as a contest. A neat Chris Rooney free kick fed Days in the box and he found the bottom corner. A defence lapse allowed Sherburn to get a third however Waldridge were not finished and man of the match Hughes got a fifth and Days rounded of the scoring with his hat trick. Tremendous effort by all Waldridge players
Sedgefield St Edmunds v Sacriston WMC  Score: 3 - 1
St Eds took the lead from a Brian Fairhurst penalty after Stephen Flockett was brought down. Flockett then made it 2 -0 before half timewith a stunning volley into the top of the net."nd half goal from Anthony Smyth made it 3 0 Sacriston never stopped trying and a late penalty gave them a consolation goal. Sedgefield produced some decent football to see off Sacriston WMC three goals to one. The opener came from a Fairhurst penalty after Dean Smith have fouled Flockett in the area. The second was slammed home by Flockett to give a two goal half time lead. Sedgefield scored the goal of the game when Smyth curled home from 25 yards before Adam Wilson scored his first ever goal for the visitors after Fairhurst handled in the area

Ferryhill Celtic fc v new durham wmc  Score: 2 - 0
Good game today we dominated the first half with there keeper pulling of good saves we should of been 4 then we had a man sent of then it went into extra time when we scored 2 goals dan mitton momgood game of football, 0-0 full time,,, et saw ref give a soft penalty to ferry hill, were the durham keeper saved but the rebound came back to the penalty taker who finished well., ferry hills 2nd was well of side , but ferry hill celtic deserved there win on the day

It was an entertaining first half with both teams playing good football the deadlock was broken by whitehills from a long throw into the box which was poked home with Bowburns keeper unsighted. The 2nd goal came from a well taken corner with a bullet header.The 2nd half started off brightly with Bowburn attempting to pull a quick goal back this was undone by some sloppy passing allowing Whitehill to score another 2 quick goals, Bowburn then made some subs with teh game over which allowed Whitehills to add another 2 goals.
The Britannia Chester Le Street  v  Chester le Street  Hilda Park  Score: 4 - 0
The home side were awarded an early penalty in this guards cup fixture, but Andrew Robinson spot kick cannoned off the bar. The home side did take the lead seconds later when Dan Johnsons audacious chip from 40 yds caught the keeper napping to put the Brit 1-0 up. The lead was doubled when Scott Hope put a shot into the top corner from a tight angle. The home side put the tie to bed in the 2nd half when a mazy run by Johnson ended with home putting the ball in the stantion. Brinsley Sheridan wrapped it up in the last seconds to make it 4-0 and 8 wins on the bounce for the Brit. Local derby kicked off with both teams having a go , and a spectacular short from the Brit put them 1-0 up. Some strange ref decisions then cost Hilda some lee way but the Brit ran out deserved winners.
Hetton New Inn  v  Chester St Cuthberts Social Score: 1 - 2
Cuthberts edged through against a decent Hetton New Inn side. Josh Fryer with both goals and a MOM as Cuthberts ran out 2-1 winners.
Ferryhill Dynamoes v Chester red lion Score: 1 - 5
A very lack lustre performance from the Dynamoes who were totally out classed by an on fire Red Lion side. The red lion went in at half time 3-1 up and scored two further goals in the second half. Final score 1-5.

Ferryhill Community Hub v Washington Cherry Tree  Score: 2 - 5
Ferryhill got the game to a good start for themselves by taking an early lead and again soon after going to 2-0. Cherry Tree came back into the game not long after Ferryhill went 2-0 up. The game was close with chances and both ends throughout the second half but a fantastic header in the closing minutes of the second half put Cherry Tree level and to take the game into extra time. Cherry Tree then managed to get out of second gear and with ease went on and won the game 5-2.

Sacriston Cricket Club fc v hetton Lyons Cricket Club  Score: 0 - 1
An excellent game to watch. Sacriston played the best they have played all season they had to really against a quality side. Hetton went one nil up through Potts error but never gave up. Sacriston plugged on and on but could not break hetton down. Potts came to the rescue many times.
Washington cross keys vs kelloe wmc Score: 1 - 2
Kelloe controlled the match early on as the keys were restricted to playing on the break. Kelloe wasted chances through Barton, Davis and Thompson, and were made to pay for these missed chances when a free kick on the edge of he box took a wicked deflection, leaving Morris no chance. 1-0 keys at half time. Into the 2nd half, and like the 1st, kelloe dominated possession and were rewarded when a corner was only cleared to Coates who rifled in to equalise. Kelloe then took the lead when Barton rose highest to power in a header from a corner. Kelloe then squandered further chances through Barton and Coates to extend the lead, but guaranteed a victory in the end 2-1
First Division

Brandon Sports Club v Houghton Chilton Lodge Score: 3 - 0
Brandon secured a comfortable victory against a spirited Houghton side. First half goals from Grayson and David Fort put the host 2-0 up at the break and a second half strike from Kidd put the icing on the cake. bottom of the table Houghton Chilton lodge travelled to division one tabletoppers Brandon sports hoping a win might kickstart their league campaign. both teams started well however 15 mins in Chilton lodge's ross meenaghan was sent clear with only the keeper to beat however last man Brandon defender cynically clipped his heels to bring him down, very surpisingly the referee decided only a yellow card was warranted for the offence to the astonishment of both sides. the decision was made to look even more bizarre 5 mins later when lodge's keeper defty was given the same yellow card punishment for a late tackle next to the corner flag. Chilton lodge were testing Brandon however they aren't top of the league by luck, a good move down the left saw the ball laid off across the box for Brandon forward to guide the ball into the net from 15 yards. not long after a similar move found a Brandon midfield runner free in the box to make it 2-0 to the home side on the break. Chilton lodge continued to keep a foothold in the game however the final ball or shot was always wayward. ht 2-0.
2nd half was much the same as the first for Chilton lodge , good moves consistently ended in failure with a wayward effort not testing the keeper or the final ball not coming off. Brandon were always dangerous on the break and were happy to pick the Chilton lodge off on the counter attack. Brandon made it 3-0 around 70 mins as a mix up between gav tait and keeper defty saw the Brandon forward take full advantage to nip the ball around defty and into the net. the scoreline perhaps flattered Brandon however they showed the Chilton lodge in this division you have to take your chances as the Chilton lodge were left wondering if the result would have been the same had Brandon rightly gone down to 10 men early doors.
New Brancepeth WMC FC v Pelaw Grange Dogs FC Score: 1 - 2
First half goals from McNally and Mclean put the Dogs two nil up at half time and it should have been a lot more with many chances missed. Second half was a poor footballing display from the Dogs, more missed chances didn't help either, a late goal from the home side in the last minute wasn't enough for them to get anything from the game.with new brancepeth strugglin of late this was a great chance at home to pelaw to get 3 points but it wasnt to be,pelaw scored two goals from defensive errors but put the ball in the back of the net,new brancepeth had a lot of the ball but seem to lack that cutting edge in the final third and missed a few good chances,pelaw also had some great efforts and had it not been for aaron hall cud have scored a few more,mom craig hindmarch added a consolation late on with a nice free kick but it was too little to late
Second Division

Houghton Mill Mill 3 v 2  Bede Lodge Social Score: 3 - 2
Houghton Mill All Stars recorded their first league win of the season with a 3-2 win at home to Durham Bede Lodge.The only goal of the first half came after twenty five minutes when a Liam McKitten shot was parried by Lodge keeper Mark Mackenzie into the path of Steve Parkin who cooly slotted home. Five minutes later Lodge were extremely unlucky not to equalise when a rasping twenty yard shot from Lewis Newton crashed against the underside of the cross bar.Ten minutes into the second half Mill should have doubled their lead when Jack Leonard was through on goal with only the keeper to beat but a wayward lob was easily caught by keeper Mackenzie. Lodge scored on the hour mark when Johnathan Kilgallon hit a ferocious shot from ten yards out beating Mill keeper Sean Simpson. Mill regained the lead in an exciting second half when a Parkin shot rebounded to Daniel Johnston who hit the ball nicely into the top corner of the net.Lodge's Chris Boyle then made it 2-2 with a neat shot from the edge of the goal area. With ten minutes remaining Mill's Liam Lusk netted the winner blasting home from twelve yards out.This was a great game played in a good spirit from all players.
mill went 1 up and held onto the lead, bede lodge seemed to have no luck in front of goal, then drew level, only for mill to score soon after. bede kept pushing and scored to level the game. mill went on to score the winning goal late on in the game.
Third Division

Sedgefield  Social Club  FC V Bishop Middleham  Score: 2 - 0
Two fairly evenly matched teams and both sides had chances, however, it was Sedgefield who converted first. Middleham pushed hard for an equaliser but Sedgefields defence held firm and they added a second to finish 2-0 victors. Not much to report from this scrappy local derby , a few chances for both teams in the first half , both teams were guilty of not taking chances 0/0 half time
Sedgefield started the second half on the attack and were much the better side they deservedly took the lead when middleham keeper Jake Pearson fumbled a low drive and the sedgefield midfielder was presented with a tap in , middleham never got out of first gear and after more woeful defending conseeded another after 76 minuets , sedgefield easily saw the game through
Lumley FC v Durham County Seniors FC Score: 1 - 6
Durham County hit the home side for six with Mark Hughes netting an impressive hat-trick, substitute Adam Birks opened the scoring with a simple header from close range, then centre-half Johnathan Curry lobbed the keeper almost from the half-way line, and Captain Lee Walker scored arguably the goal of the game with a 35yard thunderbolt.
Pittington v Burnmoor J.f.C  Score: 3 - 2
Pittington took advantage of a defensive mistake from Burnmoor scoring only 18 mins into he game, but Burnmoor pull one back with a goal by Ross Gaunt in the 22 nd min of the game. Burnmoor apply more pressure on the home team to only to be denied by the keeper saving several attempts. until Christopher Saunders finds the back of the net in the 32 nd min of the game but Burnmoor took their eye off the game allowing Pitting to come back with a goal in the 41 st min bringing the score 2-2.Second half Burnmoor had ran out of steam,then a defensive mistake from Burnmoor but Pittington in the lead 3-2.
Fourth Division

Quarrington hill Wmc  v  Gilesgate the shoes  Score: 0 - 0
Gilesgate suffered a huge blow before the gane with the influential mark emmerson getting injured in the warm up. The game wasnt much to get excited about at both teams struggled to get the ball into the box. Whenever both teams did get chances both goalkeepers were brilliant and deserved thier clean sheet. Gilesgate motm was carl lee. Some great saves. A very even game, with both teams having some great chances but lacking the finishing touch.A good game of football where either team could have come away with a win but for some poor finishing and a few good saves from the keepers.A particularly good performance from the Hill's veteran midfielder David Walton.MOM - Jordan Nicholson
