Washington JFC 3 V 2 Washington Victoria
A local Derby that lived up to it`s name.
Both sets of lads know each other in-side out, and this added to the gusto of their performances. The vic took the lead after 10mins when the jfc keeper Smithy dribbled the ball out of the box on the far side of the pitch, when the keeper was tackled and the ball went out for a throw he stopped playing knowing the vic player had kicked it in to touch, however a quick throw by the vic saw the ref let play continue and the vic scored with Smithy stranded out of his area. 1-0 vic. jfc equalised when a free kick form the left beat everyone, but, Joni Hewiit, who timed his late run to perfection and headed in from the far post 1-1. The vic took the lead again when a good cross from the left just needed a tap-in on the goal line 2-1 vic, jfc made it 2-2 when a 5 pass move put Briggs through who finished well from 8yds 2-2 H/T. The second half was a tense contest where both sides took no prisoners, having said that it was a hard but fair game, jfc got the winner when a brilliant through ball by Deano put the right back Marc Baxter through to fire past the encroaching vic keeper from 16 yards. The game ended on a sour note however, when 2 of the Vic players were sent off, one for dissent and one for handling a through ball both second yellows which somehow spoilt the game, 3-2 wjfc final score.

Brancepeth soon added a third from open play making it 3 - 1 to the away team, however, Sedgefield weren't finished yet and Brancepeth defenders were finding it difficult to cope with the pace of Sedgefields centre forward Lewis White who soon made it 3-2.
Towards the end of the first half Brancepeth started to dominate and but for a startling display from Sedgefields goalkeeper could have been in double figures, the half ended 5 - 2 to Brancepeth.Brancepeth found it more difficult to break through the Sedgefield defence in the second half as the fifty year old Kevin Jones moved into centre half and marshalled his troops with great aplomb. Despite Sedgefield being reduced to nine men through injuries, Brancepeth could only add 3 more goals to make the final score SSC FC 2, Brancepeth WMC 8. Although Striking The Wood Work On 4 Occasions In The Second Half, Lumley Were Unable To Extend Their Lead And Held On To A 2-0 Victory. A Well Contested Fair Game That Was Pretty Even All The Way Through And Could Have Gone Either Way. Following This The Away Side Had A Couple Of Really Good Chances After Balls Over The Top Caught The Home Side Napping, One In Particular From About Six Yards Was Put Wildly Over The Top By Winger Gary Taylor. The 2nd Goal For Lumley Came After A Free Kick Was Well Saved By Pity Me Keeper Cameron Oliver On His Return, But Lumley Followed The Ball In Unlike The Away Sides Defence And Managed To Force Home The Rebound.
The Second Half Was Much Of The Same, With Both Sides Having Sniffs At Goal. The Main Chance Of The Half Though Fell To Lumley, With A Rasping Shot From Outside The Box Heading Straight For The Top Corner, Till It Was Magnificantly Saved By Cameron Oliver Who Tipped It At Full Stretch On To The Bar And Away. Another goal from the Plough and the game was all but over, Renwick pulled one back with a typical powerful run, rounding the keeper to make it 3-1, Jona Lane made it 3-2 just before half time.
The second half was mainly 1 way traffic from the home side, they pulled level from another Rewick goal and had chance after chance to take the lead. The Plough were awarded a penalty but Potts made a great save down to his left, Sacriston continued to look for the winner but a mixture of poor finishing, great goalkeeping and defending kept the score at 3-3
Chester Plough Inn Made The Short Trip To Play Sacriston Wmc And Started Much The Brighter Side. The Riversides Took The Lead In The Tenth Minute When Andy Dawson's Shot Was Deflected And Looped Over The Home Keeper. The Plough Quickly Extended Their Lead When Ben Lloyd Supplied A Brilliant Through Ball For Daniel Hill Who Rounded The Keeper And Finished Well. By The 20th Minute The Away Side Were 3-0 Up When Hill Played In Joel Baddams Who Cooly Rounded The Keeper And Smashed The Ball Past The Defenders On The Line. Sacriston Hit Back In A Crazy Five Minute Spell When They Managed To Score 3 Goals.
In The Second Half The Game Could Have Went Either Way With Sacristion Having The Best Of The Chances As They Searched For A Winner. The Plough Had A Great Opportunity To Win The Game As They Were Awarded A Penalty After Ryan Clarke Was Fouled In The Area, However Daniel Hill's Spot Kick Was Saved Well From Bryan Potts. There was some doubt the game would take place due to the heavy frost but the ref decided it was playable. The Plough's first game from a deflected shot, it was heading straight for Pott's but Richardson got his head on it and diverted into the net for an OG. The 2nd came from a lovely through ball, Finch was unable to keep up with the striker and he raced clear to slot passed Potts. Pittington Fc
Cant Really Say Much About The Game As Most Of It Was Played In Thick Mist, For About 60 Mins Of The Game we couldnt see either goal posts, A far better game than the scoreline suggests with both teams doing enough to take the 3 points. Q hill probably had the more possession but pittington had the best chances and it took some good 1 v 1 saves from young keeper jordan nicholson to keep it at 0-0. Pittington had a goal ruled out for offside and after an end to end last 15 minutes a draw was a fair result as neither team deserved to lose. Q hill MOM Jeff Dean, pittington MOM Chris Menzies

High Shincliffe The Avenue FC 0 v 4
Durham County Seniors FC
The visitors earned a comfortable three points at a foggy Belmont Community Centre with goals from Daniel Cummings from the penalty spot, a brace for Captain Lee Walker and a fine solo finish by Jordan Haywood on his recall to the starting eleven, this without reply. It could have been more if not for some wayward finishing and the form of the home goalkeeper who deservedly picked up the man of the match award.
