The League had Two Teams in the 2nd Round of the Football Association Sunday Cup the holders Hetton Lyons Cricket Club entertained Brow Fc from Birkenhead and Kelloe Wmc entertained Oyster Martyrs from Liverpool. The Holders Hetton Lyons Cricket Club progressed in to the next round of the cup with a comfortable victory over the team from Birkenhead on a very heavy Spennymoor pitch, it had been raining for the Last 30 hours and the grounds man had been working since the early hours to get this game on .The Lyons took the Lead after 18 minutes when Moore played the ball through for Lewis Dodds who beat the offside trap and his shot beat the goalkeeper to make 1-0 they almost doubled their lead minutes later but a brilliant save from the Brow goalkeeper Kelly denied Tommy English from scoring. Brow scored on 23 minutes, a corner from the left and a free header from Cassidy gave the Lyons keeper no chance 1-1. Lewis Dodds put the Lyons back in to the lead 3 minutes later, a brilliant ball was put through by Griffiths that split the Brow defence for Dodds to run on to and took it around the goalkeeper to score 2-1.Hetton were starting to move the ball about much quickly and went 3-1 up after 30 minutes, a cross from Capper and a bullet of a header from Carl Beasley gave the keeper no chance, the Lyons were well on top but some Brilliant saves from Kelly and wasteful chances kept the score down to 3-1 at half time.

The second half and the Lyons kept the pressure up for more goals with Byrne denied twice by the goalkeeper and Lawther coming close. Warren Byrne got his reward for all his hard work in the 81st minute when the ball was played up to him from English he then beat the defender and smashed it past the keeper to make it 4-1. In the dying minutes Chris Lawther almost scored from one of his many chances this time he beat the goalkeeper but his shot hit the cross bar. Full time 4-1.In the other Tie Kelloe Wmc entertained Oyster Martyrs at Coxhoe.The game started in very Heavy Rain, Kelloe started brightly but Rooney the cousin of Wayne Rooney, scored an outstanding individual effort against run of play to give the Martyrs the lead. Kelloe were quickly back in the game with some slick passing and quality crosses with Gavin Barton netting twice the First on 15 Mins Heading Home Keiran Megrans Cross and the second on 25 Mins, this gave Kelloe a 2-1 Lead at Half Time. After the break the conditions got very heavy the Rain lashing down, The Martyrs changed their formation and upped their game. Kelloe struggled in the conditions to get any decent possession and the Martyrs thoroughly deserved their equaliser, a tense last 5 mins saw Kelloe mount attack after Attack, Thompson going into the box and brought down, however the ref chose to play on as Cook hitting the post twice, and the Martyrs defender clearing off his own bar following a Barton Shot. The Martyrs then went straight down the field ,their centre forward clean through The Kelloe Keeper brought him down, Referee awarded a Penalty Rooney stepped up to fire the ball Home , Game ,over 3-2. A tough defeat for Kelloe but all credit to the Martyrs. A good entertaining game

In the Premier Division Newton Aycliffe Wmc entertained Sedgefield st Edmunds, Ayciffe went closest after 21 minutes with a Hall header being cleared off the line. Five minutes later Sedgefield took the lead when a close range effort from Cleary squirmed under the Aycliffe Keepers body. Aycliffe were knocking the ball about well but there was no final product with Sedgefield defending comfortably. After the break Aycliffe returned to attacking mode with Sedgefield looking dangerous on the break. After 70 minutes an excellent passing move ended with Bagshaw heading neatly passed Wood in the home goal, to give Sedgefield a 2.0 lead. Aycliife finally managed to get a bit of bite into their attacks, and the last fifteen minutes of the match was hectic. Mason fired home a great effort into the top corner to make it 2.1, but a couple of minutes later a sloppy pass by the Aycliffe keeper allowed Cleary to roll the ball into an empty net, to maintain the two goal advantage. Back up to the other end and Hall crashed in Aycliffes second. Aycliffe threw everything at the Sedgefield defence, but it was not to be and Sedgefield held out for a 3.2 victory. Brandon Bay Horse and visitors Washington JFC shared the points in a 1-1 Draw, Langley Park Wmc were 2-0 winners at Sacriston Cricket Club.

In the First Division Houghton Mill All Stars' Thompson brothers both netted to give the homeside a 3-2 win over Sacriston WMC. Sacriston took the lead on twenty minutes when a defence splitting pass was met by Ben Sanderson who ran at goal to score past keeper Golightly. But within fifteen minutes Mill had taken the lead - the first was a beautiful left foot volley into the corner of the net by Nick Thompson after good work from David Hall and Gary Adey. Then a Scot Watson long throw in caused chaos in the Sacriston goalmouth before Adey scrambled the ball home. Sacriston equalised ten minutes into the second half when Dave Wardle struck a well taken penalty kick past Mill keeper Neil Golightly who was harshly judged to have fouled striker Aaron White. However Mill came out victorious - the winning goal was again started, from a long Watson throw in; confusion reigned in the Sacriston goalmouth before Philip Thompson blasted the ball into the net from eight yards out. Mill's Chris Rogerson was outstanding at left full back and was deservedly awarded man of the match. Burnside Wmc were 7-5 winners at Gilesgate Moor Hotel, In wet conditions the Langley Park Steelers gained 3 valuable points against visitors Sedgefield Black Lion, it was enough to take the Steelers into second place in the league. It wasn't until the second half that Steelers made the breakthrough and this was down to an excellent performance from the visiting keeper, Andrew Jefferson. He pulled off a string of fine saves during the match and on one of the few occasions when he could have been beaten the shot was fired over the bar. Cruelly, it was a deflected goal that put the home side in front. Adam Malekpour drove a fierce shot goal wards and a deflection off the full back took it beyond Jefferson's reach. Adam Malekpour grabbed a second late in the game when the Lion pushed forwards for an equaliser. It was as good a game as you will see considering the conditions but the home side did deserve the win as the visiting keeper was the busier of the two. The Steelers defence were outstanding on the day and deserved another clean sheet. In dismal conditions the Birtley Barley Mow Inn put on a sparkling first half display to stun their visitors Washington Arms in a first division encounter at Birtley Leisure Centre. Michael Bradley opens the scoring on the ten minute mark following some great work down the right hand flank by Ryan Moore. The Washington Arms responded with a fine Daz Green effort that was finger tipped onto the bar by former Arms keeper Andy Maddocks. Neil Evans grabbed Birtleys second after thirty minuets and shortly after Karl Laverick made it three nil. On the stroke of half time David Richardson stabs home a loose ball in the penalty box to lift the Arms hopes for a second half revival, but to no avail and the game ended with a well deserved victory for Birtley Barley Mow.

In the Second Division Chester Plough Inn lost 4-1 at Washington Victoria the Ploughs goal coming in the 75 min Chris Cuthbertson intercepted a poor pass by the full back and put in an inch perfect cross for Daniel Hill to volley past the keeper from 8 yards out. The Game at Sherburn between the Lambton Arms and Visitors Lumley Fc was abandoned after 30 Mins due to the Weather.

In the Third Division East Rainton Fc entertained Bowburn Cooperage. Rainton took a two-goal lead only to throw it away and go 3-2 behind. Rainton showed great fighting spirit to regain the lead and come out 4-3 winners. Goals from Gaunt 2 and Shepherd 2, Framwellgate Moor Wmc lost 3-2 at Bishop Middleham Cross Keys, Pelaw Grange Dogs and visitors Shadforth Plough Inn share the points in a 1-1 draw, Chilton Lodge won 4-1 at Witton Gilbert Wmc.

In the Fourth Division Chester Cricket Club stretched their winning run to four games with a deserved 5-1 victory over Washington Honest Boy. Played on a muddy surface the early exchanges were fairly even as both teams came to terms with the conditions, with Honest Boy perhaps having the better of the early chances. It was Chester CC who made the breakthrough, however, as Andrew Robinson collected a throw in on the edge of the Honest Boy's box before turning to smash a left footed effort into the far corner. The Cricketers extended their lead when Darren Redfearn capitalised on a defensive error to pass into an empty net and the same player gave the home team a 3-0 lead to take into half time. John Sexton was the architect this time, supplying a pin point cross for Redfearn to finish from close range. Honest Boy came out fighting in the second half to try and get back into the game but it was put well and truly beyond them when Darren Redfearn completed his hat trick, a fine run saw him reach the by-line and smash the ball into the roof of the net from the tightest of angles. The fifth arrived shortly after when an excellent team move ended with Craig Newbigin supplying the pass for Andrew Robinson to finish. The Honest Boy kept going however and found a consolation with a superb strike from their centre half which gave home keeper Jack Taylor no chance. DubmireWmc entertained Langley Park Rams Head, it was Dubmire that started really well and had Langley pinned back in their own half for long periods .They were playing some really good football despite the heavy conditions and creating plenty of chances. After 20 mins Dubmire took the lead with an excellent move starting with Henshaw who played in Maddison and he crossed to Jordison to score from 8 yards .Dubmire were well in control and playing some great football .Totally against the run of play Langley pinched the ball in the centre and played it into their striker who placed it into the net 1-1.Dubmire were straight back attacking and a some good link up play between strikers Maddison & Parkin put Parkin through only for the keeper to just take it off Parkin`s Foot but somehow it squirmed out his hands and fell to Parkin to tap in 2-1.Dubmire were totally dominating the game now and look likely to score every time they went forward .Jordison`s corners were causing all sorts of problems for the Langley defence and another corner nearly resulted in the 3rd goal but Langley were able to clear after a scramble in the 6 yard box .Another long throw from price was flicked on by Maddison and Parkin headed in at the back stick for his 2nd and Dubmire`s 3rd .
Half time 3-1.Langley came out 2nd half meaning business and made Dubmire defend for long periods but they couldnt breach the Dubmire defence .Dubmire came back into the game and went close to increasing their lead on numerous occasions the best effort came from Jordison which the keeper tipped over the bar. Another good attack sent Parkin clear and he was pulled down for a penalty .Fenwick stepped up only to miss the Goal Totally with his spotkick.2 mins later Gardiner was sent clear and the defender pulled him down just as he was getting ready to shoot.Parkin stepped up to send the keeper the wrong way and clinch his Hatrick . Final score 4-1 A really good win in at times terrible conditions. Chester Leonards got back to winning ways this week, with a good display away at Quarrington hill. But for a 10 minute spell at the end of the 1st half, Leonards were the better side throughout with every player putting in a performance. Aaron Wilkinson put them ahead midway through the 1st half with a fine header after good work from Jon Morrison down the left. Wilkinson then double the lead with a great lob from 25 yards after a defensive error. Credit to Quarrington hill who rallied and had Leonards on the back foot and pulled a goal back before the break and had chances to equalise.Leonards 2nd half performance was particularly pleasing and Quarrington hill rarely threatened. Wilkinson completed his hat trick with a wonderful free kick, before Luke McClelland rounded off the scoring with a fine strike from distance. Todays game between Framwellgate Moor Salutation and Ferryhill Dynamos started in poor conditions with the rain over the past few days. The Salutation started quick out of the blocks, After 7 mins, the ball was played out on to the right and Marshall put a great cross in to pick out an unmarked Gareth Bowen to tap in. This was the story of the first half really, The Salutation trying to get the ball wide in their new look 3-4-3 formation. And on 11 mins from a left wing corner, Maddox rose virtually unmarked to head in and make it 2-0. Dynamos only attacks were coming about by them playing a long ball up to their big striker and looking to get their midfielders around the back, but the home defence was staying strong. On 24 minutes a mix up in Dynamos defence allowed Hughes to tap in for his 13th goal of the season. The best of the 4 goals was saved till last, the ball coming in from the left to the feet of Barnes, making his first appearance for the club; he turned and slotted it in to the top corner beating the keeper all ends up. Half time 4-0.Second half was a bit more open as Dynamos knew they had to attack and press if they had any chance of getting anything out of the game. The conditions were worsening, mid way thought the half, a misjudged clearance by Foster went under his foot, and allowed the away side to get a goal back. After that they pressed hard, which forced a change in formation by the home side to 4-2-3-1. This allowed the Salutation to handle any extra men Dynamos were throwing forward, and then able to cause problems for the away side on the counter. Which happened with ease towards the end of the game as Dynamos piled men forward in hope of getting another goal. Hughes, Barnes and Bowen all had chances to put the game too far out of the away sides reach. Burnmoor Jfc lost 3-2 at Ferryhill Postboy.

In the Alan Smith Trophy sponsored By Castle Insurances goals from Luke Kerry, Tony Davidson, Michael Graver, Craig Mickle, Criag Marron, Chris Moody and Two from Paul Freeman, gave Pelton Roab an 8-1 win at Durham Bede Lodge. Mark McKenzie getting the Bede Lodge Consolation Goal.

In the Spennymoor Town Sponsored League Cup The Bird inn started slow against Chester Easy street and found themselves 2-0 down at halftime, but a much better second half found themselves in a better game with two goals from Shane Swift and one from Jonathan Swift sore the Bird win the game 3-2 and go to the 5th rd of the league cup M.O.M Dean Turnbull.

In the JD Taxis Trophy In wet conditions Sedgefield Net Park caused an upset in the last 16, by beating top of division one side Houghton comrades 3-1. Goals from Steven Turland and Dan Piling in the first half saw Sedgefield take a strong lead. Houghton pulled one back as they had a spell but Ryan Boardmans goal put Sedgefield further ahead and they could have had a couple more in the closing stages.

In the Presidents Trophy Coxhoe Wmc were 5-1 winners at Ferryhill Saints.

In the Premier Division Hetton Lyons Cricket Club returned to league action and a good victory over a well organized Chester Hilda Park side in fact Hilda Park could have taken the lead after the first 30 seconds but a brilliant double save from Lyons keeper Simon Bishop kept them at bay. Hetton's first good chance came after 15 minutes when a great cross from Callum Griffiths and Chris Masons header just went over the bar. The Lyons broke the deadlock 2 minutes later when Niki Cane was fouled in the penalty area and Warren Byrne scored from the spot 1-0. Chester had a chance to draw level 5 minutes later but a great clearance off the line from Mason saved them. In the 38th minute Chris Lawther made it 2-0 a cross from Chris bell and Lawther's shot beat the keeper at his near post.Second half and the Chester goalkeeper was kept busy with some outstanding saves and in the 68th minute the Lyons increased their lead, Kane was brought down outside the penalty area and Lewis Dodds bent the ball around the Chester defensive wall and gave the goalkeeper no chance, brilliant goal 3-0. Warren Byrne had his chance to double his tally 5 minutes later when he was fouled in the penalty area but the keeper saved from his spot kick. The Lyons were getting more chances and in the 79th minute Byrne got his second, some great work in the middle of the park between Kane and Yalcin and Byrne's left footed strike bent it around the goalkeeper and it hit the top of the inside of the post and into the net a exquisite goal that could grace any football ground. Full time 4-0. Newton Aycliffe Wmc entertained Washington JFC and Most of the first half was played in the Washington half of the field with Wood eventually scoring after 40 minutes, after previously hitting both posts. Early in the second half a goal from Robinson appeared to seal the victory for Aycliffe, but within ten minutes Washington had pulled one back. Aycliffe regained their two goal advantage through Mason, but took their foot off the pedal, and a spirited fight back from Washington saw them score two more goals, the second a penalty for handball, to level the scores. At the end it was anybodys match with both sides going close Final score 3-3Brandon Bay Horse were 2-0 winners at Langley Park Wmc.Pelton Roab entertained Sacriston Cricket Club in a local derby This was a very scrappy game from start to finish with very little quality shown from either side. The game was decided in the 24th minute when Michael Gravers speculative shot from 25 yards found the net when the ball bounced awkwardly just in front of Hall in the Sacriston goal. Hall will feel he should have done better with the shot.Pelton were much the better side in the first half and wanted the game more than Sacriston .John Robson volleyed wide with a right footed shot and Dean Smith found himself with 2 good shooting opportunities on the edge of the Pelton box but none of these troubled the keeper.Hall redeemed himself in the 2nd half by keeping Sacriston in the game with a couple of good saves and Dean Smith saved a certain goal with a last ditch tackle in the box on the Pelton right wing back.The game was very tight in the 2nd half and Sacriston showed lots more fight and determination ,10 minutes from the end Gary Draper who had done as much as anyone in a Sacriston shirt ,sprung clear of the Pelton defence and he got through one on one with the keeper but he shot straight at him.Although Sacriston still tried hard to get a equalizer the game finished 1-0 to Pelton Roab

In the First Division Chester Osborne hosted Houghton Mill All-stars on a boggy field which proved hard work for both sides, however it was the Osborne who started well and were 1-0 up at the break with Chris Bennett cut in from the left wing to beat Mill keeper Neil Golightly. Mill equalised ten minutes into the second half when a fine through ball by David Hall found Gary Adey who beat the offside trap before rounding the keeper to fire into an empty net. . The winning goal for the Osborne came on seventy five minutes when an Osborne corner kick eventually found its way to Chris Winn who was lurking at the farpost to knock home from five yards out. Houghton Comrades were 3-2 winners at Barley Mow Inn. In a cracking game Langely Park Steelers came from behind to beat Washington Arms 1-3 both teams playing attractive football which was a joy to watch. The Arms after going close with a couple of long range efforts took the lead after thirty minutes with a Danny Murray header. Adam Malekpour grabs an equaliser ten minutes after the break then shortly after Jamie Clifford puts the Steelers in front. Steelers push hard to consolidate the advantage and should of had a third from the penalty spot but Arms keeper Michael Ramsey saved Liam Burn's spot kick. The Arms push forward in search of an equaliser and go close with efforts from Michael Reay and Chris Morrison but are caught out with a great break out from defence ending with Adam Malekpour finishing off well to make the final score 1-3.Sacriston Wmc wntertained Ushae Moor Cricket Club, With both sides fielding stronger sides than the last meeting, this was poised to me a close game. Sacriston started the better side with plenty of possesion and several half chances. David Wardle scored with only a few minutes of the first half left. Sacriston forced a corner and Wardle who was unmarked at the back post managed to head home to make it 1-0The second half began much the same way has the first ended with Sacriston looking the more dangerous when going forward, The game then turned scrappy with both sides giving away freekicks, Sacriston should have scored several times in the second half with Wardle and Sanderson both coming close.Generally Sacriston defended well with Ushaw only looking dangerous from deadballs.

In the Second Division On what was a terrible surface for football Sedgefield Net park came through comfortable winners 5-0, against visitors Washington Lambton village, Sedgefield played some good football despite conditions with a fine individual display from Peter Sedgewick scoring 4 goals, Dan Piling grabbed the other as Sedgefield took the points. A Bright Lumley Fc Start Saw The Host's Squander Numerous Goalscoring Opportunities against todays visitors Waterhouses Fc, Just Before Half Time Waterhouses Were Reduced To 10 Men. As Lumley Fc Tried To Find A Break Through Waterhouses Fc Scored A Goal Despite Loud Offside Appeals. Waterhouses Then Doubled Their Lead. Lumley's Responce Was To Put Sub Andy Armstrong Upfont. Lumley Struck The Woodwork, Waterhouses Keeper Made Saves Before Armstrong Scored Only For it to be Disallow For Offside. Then Armstrong Struck Again Only For The Referee To Disolow Again For Offside Final Score .Waterhouses were 2-0 winners at Lumley Fc.Chester Plough Inn were Beaten at Home by Chilton Wmc 3-2 A slow start from Bede Lodge Social saw West Rainton fc take a 2 goal lead within 20 minutes. 2 goals from Mark McKenzie in the next 10 minutes made the scores level, and shortly before half time a goal from Jonathon Kelly put Bede Lodge into the lead. Midway through the second half West Rainton equalised but goals from Paul Richardson and Chris Vaughan sealed the victory for Bede Lodge.5-3

In the Third Division With only 11 players available Framwellgate Moor Wmc Travelled to East Rain ton Fc,it was always going to be a tough task ,but Fram will be pleased to come away with a point after a battling display. East Rainton started well and their tactic of playing long balls behind the Fram full backs was working to good effect and they created plenty of chances without taking any of them. They were made to pay when Stephen Phillips curled an excellent free kick onto the head of Danny Beardmore who gave the Rainton keeper no chance. After taking the lead Fram grew in confidence and went in at the break 1-0 up. East Rainton stepped up a gear in the second half and continued to create chances but some resolute defending and some inspired saves from MOM David Passmore in the Fram goal kept the lead intact.Rainton equalised when Andrew Shephard turned inside the box and lashed the ball home. With their tails up they cranked up the pressure but Fram looked increasingly dangerous on the break and Rainton couldn't find the winner. Rainton created plenty of chances and will feel they deserved the 3 points however Fram defended brilliantly and a draw was probably a fair result. Bowburn Cooperage were 2-0 Home winners over Ferryhill Saints.West Rainton lost 5-3 at Durham Bede Lodge.

In the Fourth Division Framwellgate Moor Salutation Started with a changed team following the signing of a few new players, and had number 1 goalkeeper Andy Byrne back between the posts for the Visit to Washington Colliery,. Salutation began the brighter side, keeping the ball well and passing it around on the floor... Half time 0-0.Second half started the opposite way, Salutation quite slow getting out of the blocks, and colliery pushing on trying to get the early first goal. Andy Byrne producing a great save with his feet when the Colliery striker managed to escape the Salutations solid defence Salutation got back in to the game gradually, Hughes doing his usual great job of holding the ball up and bringing others in to play, which led to another great save low to his right, this time by colliery's keeper. Salutation pushed on towards the end but to no avail. All in all a thoroughly entertaining 0-0 draw. Man of the match for the away side Andy Byrne. Washington Honest Boy suffered their first league defeat of the season at the hands of Langley Park Rams Head. The Honest Boy started off well with Dean Sinclair warming Langley Park's Keepers hands with a fierce volley. Langley Park opened up the scoring when their centre forwards Mark Watsons shot from the edge of the box squirmed through The Honest Boys Keeper Boundy's hands. The Honest Boy continued their pressing off the self destruct button and when Boundy Came out to claim a throughball shouting "keepers Ball" under no pressure, Paul Craister knocked it past him to make it 2-0 to Langley Park. Langley Park continued to pressure and Boundy had to get across well to tip a long range shot out for a corner, then they had a free kick from outside the box that Boundy clawed out of the top corner, getting up quickly to block the follow up. The Honest Boy then came to life and had 7 corners in the first half but poor deliveries saw none of them beat the first man. A few other chances came Honest Boy's way but a mixture of poor final ball, poor finishing and bad luck meant that the score at half time stayed at 2-0. The Honest Boy started off well but were then hit with a sucker punch when Dean Sinclair failed to clear from a corner and a game of head tennis ended up with a Langley Park player heading in the score was 3-0. Once again The Honest Boy applied pressure but were unable to make any chances count until the 75th minute when Allan Taylors cross was handled by a Langley Park defender, the ensuing penalty was calmly put away by Sinclair... 3-1. With the Honest boy now pushing men forward and Langley had to withstand pressure but looked dangerous on the attack and nearly added to their tally when a forward got one on one with Boundy, but his block and some good clearing up by Steve Head kept The Honest Boy in the game. With two minutes to go the Honest Boy pulled a goal back to make it 2-3, a deep cross/shot by Sinclair was headed in by Fishwick from 2 yards. Sinclair then spoilt what had been a great performance lunging in for a ball he was never going to get to on their centre half and getting their late and no complaints from the Honest Boy about the Red Card he received - this ended any hopes of a come back and the game ended 2-3. New Brancepeth Wmc were 8-1 winners at Burnmoor Jfc. Dubmire and visitors Durham Garden House shared the Points in a 2-2 draw. Q.uarrington Hill Wmc recorded their first win of the season with an emphatic win over neighbours Kelloe Davy Lamp . Although a closer game than the scoreline suggests it did reflect some good finishing, slice of luck and some outstanding defending by Quarrington Hill.Lewis Newton opened the scoring in the tenth minute slotting home cooly when 1v1 with the lamp keeper, in what was an evenly matched game up to half time with both teams creating chances.The second half Q. Hill were the better team and took their chances well with 2 goals from Chris Taylor, 1 from skipper Chris Winter and 1 each for subs Ricky Gardiner and Jordan Nicholson, his first for the club.Final score Kelloe Davy Lamp 0 -6 Quarrington Hill Wmc,Chester Leonards Lost 5-1 at Ferryhill Dynamoes.

In the Alan Smith Trophy 4th Round sponsored By Castle Insurances Gilesgate moor travelled to Chester le Street to play Easy street Fc. It was Gilesgate who started the better and they took the lead. Second half Easy street drew Level 10min into .Gilesgate Scored with 5min to go and then held on till full time to win 2-1. In the Spennymoor Town sponsored League Cup 3rd Round Fatfield Biddick Inn Lost 7-1 at Sedgefield St Edmunds, a good performance from Sedgefield who have had keeper problems this Season , this being the 8th Keeper used in 13 Games.

In the 3rd Round of the JD Taxis Trophy Coxhoe WMC welcomed Chester le Street Cricket Club FC to Coxhoe. In a game played in difficult conditions the Chester le Street side came away with a 2-1 victory. Coxhoe took the lead in the first half with a well struck free kick from Simon Ord beating the Chester keeper low down to his left. The second half saw the Cricketers come back into the game and begin to handle the conditions a lot better. Substitute Phil Quigley made an instant impact on the game as he was felled in the box to give Andrew Robinson a chance to score from the penalty spot. Chester Cricket Club went on to take the lead with less than 20 minutes to go when the ball fell to Andrew Robinson in the six yard box who turned to finish. The last 20 minutes saw the Cricketers withstand a lot of pressure as Coxhoe put everything into trying to find an equaliser. A mix of last ditch blocks and tackles and some good saves from Chester Cricket Club goalkeeper Jak Taylor ensured victory, while Coxhoe were reduced to 10 men when their goalkeeper saw red for a handball outside of the box.New Durham Wmc were 6-1 winners at Sherburn Lambton Arms.

In the 2nd Round of the Presidents Trophy Pelaw Grange Dogs Travelled to Ferryhill to play the Post Boy, Pelaw Grange Dogs Fc found themselves a goal behind within 3 minutes when a thrown in taken by Post Boys Paul Robson was hurled into the net from a throw in down the slope of the pitch and past Pelaw's keeper.Pelaw battled hard but made little head way until David Cater made it level about 10 minutes before half time but then a cross into the box saw Pelaw's Paul Hargreaves put the ball past his own keeper to make it 2-1 at half time to the Postboy. Again Pelaw had trouble with the long throw in but the defence had settled down and were handling them well and eventually pulled it level 10 minutes before full time with a well taken goal by David Carter. A second book able offence then saw Postboys Billy Snaith sent off and the game went into extra time. A bad decision by Pelaws Centre back/ sweeper saw Ferryhill again take the lead with 2 of their players clear on goal. Despite Pelaw Grange Dogs efforts both teams and both teams were tired Pelaw failed to score. In the dying minutes they gave away a penalty but this was well saved by Wayne Laws who had a good game throughout to get man of the match. Scott Tarry had come on for Chris Gosling half way in the second half and had some good touches and Phil Hawkins came on for a very tired Kenny Brown who also had a knock. Referee Craig Dean did well to keep control of a forcefully contested game. The man of the match for Pelaw was given to Wayne Laws for his fine efforts in goal.Postboy3 -2 Pelaw.

In the Durham County Football Association Sunday Cup the Big shock of the Day saw the Much Fancied Dawdon cw Of the Peterlee Sunday League Premier Division, crash out of the Competition at Second Division Coxhoe Wmc.Coxhoe wmc winning 3-2 . In a good contested game Coxhoe went 1 - 0 up with a Colin Young Goal in the 36th min, within 2mins Dawdon equalised 1- 1.In the 63rd min of the game a mistake by the Dawdon keeper left an open net for Colin young to score his second of the game bringing it 2 - 1 to Coxhoe, Dawdon replied in the 80th min 2 -2.with extra time possibly on the cards Luke Lavery made a solo effort into the Dawdon box, with what seemed to take an eternity to shoot the ball was in the back off the net making it 3 - 2 Coxhoe with 7mins remaining.The Holders of the Cup Hetton Lyons Cruised into the next round an excellent performance against North Biddick from the Gateshead Premier League. Chris Lawther set them on their way after 6 minutes after good work from Warren Byrne; Keith Graydon made it 2-0 after 15 minutes when Chris Bell was fouled in the penalty area. Tommy English had a great shot saved from the visiting keeper but Lawther was there for the rebound and scored to make it 3-0 on the half hour. The Lyons stepped up a gear for more goals and 4 goals were scored in the next 12 minutes Warren Byrne scored a hat trick in 9 minutes and Lawther got his third goal on 42 minutes and to send the Lyons 7-0 up at half time Second half underway and the Lyons found the back of the net after 48 minutes with a great cross from English and Byrne slotted the ball home (8-0) a minute later Chris Bell beat the off side trap and squared the ball for Lawther to score (9-0). Probably the best goal of the game involved some great football between Bell Lawther and Ainsley and it was Ainsleys strike from 18 yards that smashed in to the back of the net (10-0) Lawther got his 5th goal on the hour mark and not to be outdone Byrne got his 5th goal of the game after some good work from English and make it 12-0. A very solid Performance from Hetton Lyons in every department.Kelloe WMC FC travelled to premier rivals Sedgefield St Eds, Keiran Megran crossed early for striker Ian Ward to head home. Kelloe then pressed further and were rewarded when Stuart Thompson crossed for John Cook to head goal wards to bring an excellent save from Alan Wilkinson only for Ian Ward to finish the rebound. Kelloe then dominated the game and striker Ian Ward finished from outside the box to score his hat trick within 30 minutes. After the break Sedgefield started well when a cross was finished making it 3 - 1. Kelloe then produced some great football to create chances and Neil Charlton struck from outside the box for Kelloe's fourth. Charlton then crossed for substitute Stephen Carruthers to finish making the final score 5 - 1 to Kelloe WMC FC.. Brandon Bay Horse were 6-0 Home winners over Wear Valley Side St Johns Chapel, thanks to goals from Dave Fort 3, Phill Morris 2 and one from Mick English... Pelton ROAB were beaten 3-1 at Sunderland Sunday League side Plains Farm in a very scrappy game.Fatfield Biddick Inn lost 5-2 at Hartlepool Sunday League side Hartlepool Supporters. Houghton Comrades were 1-0 winners at Wearside Wildcats, Chester Easystreet lost 3-2 at South Shields Side South Shields Brighams.Langley Park Wmc were 5-3 winners at the Sunderland Side the Jolly Potters.
In the League s Premier Division their were only two Games Chester Hilda Park Travelled to Sacristan Cricket Club, The Cricketers Dominated the first 25 minutes, having plenty of possession but they didn't make it tell on 27 Minutes Hilda Park crossed the Ball from the left hand side along the floor and the Hilda Park Paul Chapman ghosted into the box and finished well. The Cricketers levelled the game 10 minutes into the 2nd half after a succession of corners and free kicks resulted in John Robson heading home a Graeme Embleton free kick at the near post. The game was in the balance for the next half hour with Sacriston doing most of the pressing for a winner and with 5 minutes to go substitute Petts finished beautifully after a great team move with the final ball played in by Beggs who found Petts in the box and he finished cleverly with a side footed volley into the bottom corner.Sacriston made the game safe in the final minute when we broke out of our own penalty box and Graeme Embleton found the perfect pass for the overlapping Gareth Sharp who capped a brilliant individual and team performance by slotting in the 3rd goal with a right footed shot at the near post. To give the Cricketers a 3-1 win. Newton Aycliffe wmc were 3-0 winners at Washington JFC

In the First Division David Hall struck twice to give Houghton Mill All Stars a 2-0 home winover Ushaw Moor Cricket Club.Both goals came before the break - the first after fifteen minutes whenHall slotted the ball into the net from ten yards out after a great leftwing run and cross by Gary Adey. For the second Hall won the ball on the half way line after closing down the away teams centre half, he then ran towards the goal beating anotherdefender before rounding Ushaw Moor Keeper Steven Hancock to fire home. In the absence of suspended goalkeeper Dan Pearson Mill had new signing Neil Golightly keeping a clean sheet in an impressive debut.. Washington Arms and Sacriston Wmc shared the points in a closely contested game at Glebe Park .. The second half was a much more evenly contested affair. Washington were awarded a penalty when sub Neilson Jude was judged to have handled the ball in the box, Andrew Elliots spot kick was initially stopped by Sacriston Keeper Bryan Potts but Elliot reacted quickest to hammer the rebound home Both sides had several opportunities to score but finally with 10 Min's to go Sacriston pulled level. Some neat play in the middle of the park released Peter Lawler down the left wing; he checked back inside and squared the ball to Ben Sanderson, who slotted the ball away from 12 yards. Both sides went looking for a winner but it finished 1-1 fair result. Barley Mow Inn won 5-2 at Gilesgate Moor Hotel.

In the Second Division Sedgefield Net park played a spirited bottom of the league Lumley FC in a must win game. It was pretty even until Stephen Turland put Net park 1-0 and added another shortly after to make it 2-0 at half time. Ryan Boardman scored after a great build up 3-0. Lumley pulled one back as a cross come shot sneaked in 3-1. Turland completed his hat-trick 4-1. Then a Backpass hit a bobble n the Net park keeper sliced it into his own goal 4-2. Turland netted his fourth 5-2, and then a good move reduced it to 5-3. Net Park should have won comfortable but the Lumley keeper was producing some fantastic one on one saves. Martin Broom scored with a great finish at the death 6-3.West Rainton Crashed to a 7-1 defeat at Pelton Fc

In the Third Division East Rainton fc entertained Pittington Fc, Rainton Took the lead through Callum Hopps. But inspired substitutions from Pittington turn the game on its head and Pittington run out 4-1 winners High Handenhold Bird Inn Battled hard to beat Shadforth Plough after finding themselves 1-0 down and a man short at half time. But a good team performance and goals from Jonathan Swift then Terry Mackell saw the bird win 2-1 and a M.O.M performance from Shane Swift took the points for the bird. Mew Durham Wmc were 3-1 winners at Bishop Middleham Cross Keys. Bowburn Cooperage shared the Points in a 2-2 draw at Framwellgate Moor Wmc.

In the Fourth Division Chester Cricket Club travelled to Quarrington Hill Wmc and returned home with a well deserved 9-2 victory. Despite a scrappy start, the Cricketers took an early lead when Darren Redfearn provided Andrew Robinson with an opportunity to strike home from the right-hand side of the box. Quarrington Hill quickly got back into the game when a foul by Michael Redshaw led to a penalty which was duly converted by Dan Beaney scored from the spot on 10 mins. This proved the catalyst for the away team to take control of the game and they began putting together some good attacking moves, which paid dividends when John Sexton slotted home from a Jack Kilgannon pass. A defensive error was pounced on by Darren Redfearn who cut in from the left to curl into the far corner to give Chester CC a 3-1 lead at half time. The Cricketers stepped up a gear at the start of the second half and further goals from John Sexton and Darren Redfearn saw them race into a 5-1 lead, Phil Forster the architect for both goals. With the game now beyond Quarrington Hill, left back Steven Redshaw took the opportunity to get forward and with Andrew Robinson playing the ball through Redshaw notched the sixth. With Chester CC pressing for more goals, Quarrington Hill got another consolation goal Dan Beaney scoring his second of the Game, however there was never any danger of a comeback and the away team went on to further affirm their superiority. John Sexton crossed for Andrew Robinson to head home and Darren Redfearn completed his hattrick when Phil Forster played him through to finish with aplomb from a tight angle. The rout was completed when Simon Masters found Jack Kilgannon at the back post for the left winger to poke home. Chester Leonards travelled to Langley Park Rams Head an entertaining game of 2 middle of table teams.Chester started the better and were 2-0 up within the first 5 minutes, Langley seemed though they were still asleep. Then Langley got going and Michael Watson was fouled about 25 yards out after 12 minutes and Steven Mikel scored a cracking free kick right into the top corner.Langley were now the better side and pushed to draw game level and they finally did After 30 minutes, Michael Watson was again involved and he played a lovely through ball to Steven Mikel who scored his second of the game.Langely kept pressuring but didnt get the breakthrough they wanted the score two all at half time.Lanlgey had to make two changes as injuries to couple of players and seem to disturb Langley as second half just didnt get going. Chester scored a third after 60 minutes Chester got a penalty not long after but Simon Huscroft made a good save to keep Langley in it, But Langley pressed for an equaliser and Chester got Langley with a counter as a mistake by the right back let Leonards in to wrap up the game .Leonards won 4-2.New Brancepth Wmc shared the Points in a 3-3 Draw at Washington Colliery,
Colliery went into this game hoping to get a better result than last time out. Colliery were the better of the 2 teams throughout the game, Craig Neal put Colliery 1-0 up after 10mins and his second followed shortly afterwards. Brancepeth pulled 1 back not long after. before the half hour Colliery were awarded a penalty and Craig Neal made no mistake and sent the keeper the wrong way to grab his hat-trick and collierys 3rd. Half time 3-1. Brancepeth started the second half brightly looking to get back into the game 10mins into the 2nd half they did that. Both teams were reduced to 10 men after a bit of a scuffle ,resulted in 2 red cards. Brancepeths equalliser came with 15 mins to go with unsportsmanship conduct after a drop ball was needed Colliery said they would pass back to Brancepeths keeper but the player took the ball on to power it past Tom Hallam. Final Score Washington Colliery 3 V New Brancepeth 3.Kelloe Davy Lamp won 6-2 against Visitors Burnmoor Jkr and Dubmire were 3-2 winners at Durham Garden House.

In the 3rd Round of the Presidents Trophy Washington honest boy got off to a flying start Home to Waterhouses Fc, when Nathan Varty rounded the keeper and tucked the ball home after a cracking lofted through ball from Dean Sinclair.1-0 then Waterhouses fought back with a long free kick resulting in a tidy headed goal. 1-1 Then Waterhouses scored again from a free kick which bounced through a crowd of players and left Mark Boundy the Honest Boy Keeper with no chance 2-1. Honest boy fought back But Waterhouses scored again from 7yrds after a nice flowing move. 3-1 honest boy lifted there heads and after a sweet through ball down the left wing Warren Tullis smashed the ball left footed into the top left corner. 3-2. Jonathan Gaunt then launched the ball into the air on the left hand side of the pitch Nathan Varty then latched on to it cut inside and drilled a shot at the goal which deflected and lobbed the keeper 3-3. HTThe Honest boy turned out a rejuvenated side in the second half they pushed on and resulted in Varty getting his hatrick after once again rounding the keeper and slotting home.4-3 This boosted the Honest boy who went on to get another goal through Warren Tullis 5-3. Waterhouses did not really test the honest boy for a good 20mins who piled on the pressure taking it to 6-3 after a cracking cross from Andrew Thompson put it on a plate for Warren Tullis to get his hatrick. On a boggy pitch fatigue set in and the Honest boy looked tired Waterhouses took good advantage of this and got another goal to take it to 6-4 after what might have been a big OG for Lee Simpson, the fight back was on! Water houses pushed on to get another making it 6-5. Then in the last few minutes of the game Waterhouses threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Honest Boy (even the keeper) who won the header off a corner the ball got muddled up in the box resulting in another goal for waterhouses.6-6 FT In extra Time the Honest boy had there heads down after throwing away a three goal lead. Waterhouses punished there lack of commitment by getting two goals with in the extra time period. A few tired tackles where made in tough conditions or more like a mud bath but Waterhouses held on to the end. Good competitive game and well done to the referee who had a quality game. FT Washington honest boy 6 Waterhouses 8 Chester Plough travelled to Durham Bede Lodge In an excellent game saw Chester Plough take the lead with half an hour played. Bede Lodge, inspired by Andrew Foster, replied with goals from Nicky Barker, Jamie Bennett, Kev Kerr and Jamie Taylor to win the game 4-1.Chilton Wmc lost 3-1 at Sherburn Lambton Arms.

In the JD Taxis sponsored Guards Cup Witton Gilbert Wmc entertained Ferryhill Postboy, Witton having transferred goalkeeper Bryan Potts to Sacriston WMC in midweek and also missing the influential David Duke through injury this was always going to be a tall order. The Post Boy took the lead but Witton deservedly drew level after 15 minutes when the very impressive Scott Embleton scored from close range. Wittons Hopes were further dented when James Smith who had started very brightly was forced off with injury to be replaced by David Callcutt. Post Boy scored Just before Half time. At the interval Witton turned round facing a 1-2 deficit but were creating the chances but unfortunately not taking them. Adam Milburn headed wide from a great angle and Grant Boyd also glanced a header wide and then saw a mazy run stopped by a last ditch tackle. Wittons luck seems to be going at the minute as they conceded a 3rd, Dave Callcutt then pounced on an error to score at the near post and Liam Summers grabbed an equaliser at the death to take us into extra time. Witton lost Wes Haley who had been superb at centre half causing a complete reshuffle at the back. Extra time did Witton no favours as they conceded 2 unlucky own goals to rebounds in the first period and from there we gambled and threw people forward and were undone again to give the score a very unrealistic look. Final score 7-3 to the Post Boy. Langley Park Steelers won 6-1 at Ferryhill Dynamos, and Washington Victoria were 3-2 winners at Houghton Chilton Lodge.

Bishop Auckland HEART FOUNDATION Cup

An under strength  Newton Aycliffe Wmc  travelled to Bishop Auckland Hospital Club, Aycliffe  moved comfortably into the next round with a 6 - 0  victory.  A superb hatrick from Campbell and goals from Wright, Bussomworth and Mason saw off the opposition. Langley Park wmc crashed to a 6-3 Defeat at Albert Hill Wmc. The Bird Inn were 4-3 winners at Bishop Auckland Cricket Club, Houghton Comrades had a Fine 3-2 home win over Tindale Crescent Wmc. Brandon Bay Horse progressed to the next Round winning 5-2 against Visitors Coundon Miners, Ferryhill Wmc lost 3-1 at Home to Staindrop Fc.Ferryhill Saints also moved into the next round with a Fine 3-2 home win over Newton Aycliffe Cobblers.

Premier Division
In the Premier Division the Big game of the Day was at Murton Welfare were last season Champions Hetton Lyons Cricket Club entertained the Premier Runners up from last Season Kelloe Wmc. Kelloe got off to the best possible start with a goal after 11 minutes when John Cook supplied the through-ball, and Kieran Megran found the net from outside the area with a speculative right footed effort. And gave the Lyons goalkeeper Keith Finch no chance 0-1. Neither team took command of the game with a lot of passes going astray and they were cancelling each other out. Second half and the Lyons started much better than the whole of the first half when Chris Bell broke through the centre of the Kelloe defence and his shot gave the goalkeeper Morris no chance 1-1. Kelloe had the chance to take the lead 5 minutes later but a brilliant save from Keith Finch denied them then it was the turn of the Kelloe goalkeeper  Carl Morris to keep them in the game with a great save from  Hetton Forward Micky Rae. The game was starting to open out a little with both teams having a couple of chances but Substitute Chris Lawther gave the Lyons the lead with 6 minutes remaining, a cross from Griffiths and Lawther's strike smashed the ball past Morris  2-1. Kelloe pressed for the equalizer but the Lyons stood firm. Sacriston Cricket Club entertained Sedgefield St. Edmunds both sides sharing the points in a 3-3 Draw Goals scored for Sedgefield, Richard Bayles, Brian Fairhurst and Paul Cleary. Wash JFC welcomed Chester Hilda Park to there home ground for today’s Premier Fixture ,in the first of this seasons game against the two newly promoted sides from the First Division  The game was played in Great Spirit both teams having a lot of mutual respect for each other. End to end play in the first half saw JFC create many chances to take the lead but just couldn’t put the ball in the net, . but it was Hilda Park  who had the first real opportunity on the JFC goal after  Paul Greggs was released down the left who picked out Chris Duke inside the six yard box, but his header was straight at the JFC keeper.Just before Half Time Hilda Park missed a Great  chance from a right wing corner, but captain Marc Smiths header couldn’t find the target and a low left wing drive across the face of the goal from Callum Turnbull was just missed by striker Damon Ellis.Half Time – Washington JFC 0-0 Hilda Park FC,The second half saw JFC have even more of the play than they had enjoyed in the first half but try as they did the MOTM McGuire the Hilda Park keeper stepped up to the line and had an absolute blinder, McGuire tipped 2 shots on to the cross bar and then pulled off a cracking save to turn Vincent’s 20 yard volley onto the post and then kept a clean sheet for his team with a excellent performance, 0 - 0 fulltime.

First Division.
In the First Division, Steelers FC could not match Burnside WMC as the visitors comfortably took all 3 points. Jamie Clifford did bring the Steelers back into the game when he levelled the scores on 32 minutes but his 50th goal for the club was not enough to get something from the match. Burnside played a very good game and their industrious midfield was enough to see them through on the day with a 2-1 victory. Chester Osborne hosted Saciston wmc, and it was the home team who started the better of the two teams, a through ball from Wes Hood found Paul Botcherby who beat the oncoming keeper and scored into an empty net, shortly after the Sacriston defender was unlucky to turn it into his own net to give the Osborne a 2-0 lead. Osborne’s third goal came from Andrew Willcock scoring from 18 yards into the bottom corner. 3-0 at half time and it was Sacriston who started the second Half a little brighter and scored just after the re start lobbing Peter Roddham in the Osborne Goal. The Osborne settled in and Andrew Willcock picked out defender Alan Neesam for his first goal of the season with a header at the far post. The Osborne’s debutant keeper Steve Barnes got a run out upfront and Wes Hood found him on the six yard box, Barnes then calmly finished into the bottom corner making it 5-1 to the Osborne.Sedgefield Black Lion were 3-1 winners at Gilesgate Moor Hotel After four games without a win Houghton Mill All Stars hit fine form with a 1-0 victory away at Washington Arms. The only goal of the game came after fifty minutes when a Gary Adey blaster from twenty yards out got a slight deflection to beat keeper Ramsey. Arms best chance of the game came with five minutes remaining when Carlo Barrass was through running at goal but a superb sliding tackle from Mill's Alistair Dodds stopped the shot to make sure Mill claimed all three points. 

In the Second Division
A scrappy game at Sedgefield as Net Park entertained Waterhouses with both teams struggling to get the ball down and play. Waterhouses took an early lead with a penalty 0-1. Ryan Boardman finished well to make it 1-1. Waterhouses took the lead again after NET Park failed to clear 1-2. Chris Barber made it 2-2 on the stroke of h/t with a firm header.NET Park dominated and had four or five great chances which they really should have taken to win this game, final score 2-2.West Rainton Fc scored after 5 mins through Ian Brown on their Visit to Chilton Wmc, Chilton levelled on 8 mins with Nicky Pickford scoring. A dour game with few chances for both sides. Chilton had to wait until the 65th min to win the game through Nicky Pickford scoring again. To give Chilton the three points in a 2-1 win.Bede Lodge Entertained Pelton Fc at Framwellgate Moor A good hard fought game with both sides totally committed. Bede Lodge took the lead courtesy of a Jonathon Kelly volley with 20 minutes gone. Pelton Fc equalised midway through the second half and Bede Lodge won the game through a Kev Kerr header with 3 minutes to go. Lumley entertained Sherburn Lambton Arms and took an early lead through Sean Henderson, But Sherburn equalised through Parnaby on the stroke of half time. Parnaby netted again to give Sherburn a 2-1 lead. Sherburn ended any hope of a comeback with an excellently finished third.,and Washington Victoria were 1-0 home winners over Coxhoe Wmc.

In the Third Division
In the Third Division East Rainton  Fc  entertained  Witton Gilbert Wmc  , Rainton  were without Top Marksman without  Jon Gaunt due to Injury, East Rainton  still turned on the style in a 5-1 win, Goals from Callum Hopps, Andrew Shepherd, Robert Walker and a brace from Steve Spence .New Durham wmc  maintain there good start to the season beating Chester easy street 4-0, with goals from Nicholas Marly Steve Bowes, and a brace from Robert Allen, it could of been a bigger  score line .but for mom Chester’s keeper. Shadforth Plough lost 1-0 at Pittington Fc. Bowburn Cooperage and Houghton Chilton Lodge shared the Points in a 1-1 Draw.

In the Fourth Division
Chester Leonard’s entertained  Quarrington Hill WMC,Leonards looking to keep their winning streak going Leonard’s  started well and were 4-1 up at half time with Wilkinson, Lowes and Alex Peake 2 getting the goals for Leonards with Lewis Newton replying for the Hill. Leonard’s got a bit sloppy 2nd half and with 10 mins to go Quarrington hill were in the game Goals from Chris Winter and Chris Taylor pulled the score back to 4-3 and looking to equalis.. Wilkinson then sealed the win with a great volley at a great time to ease the Leonard’s nerves. Chester Cricket Club made a welcome return to league action with a 5-2 victory over Durham Garden House. The Cricketers went 1-0 up within a few minutes, Ash Balfour finishing from a tight angle after Andrew Robinson flicked on from a throw.  The Cricketers extended their lead soon after when Ash Balfour supplied John Sexton to finish from close range.  With Chester CC looking to put the game beyond doubt, Garden House were awarded a penalty after a blatant push in the box.  The penalty was duly despatched and Garden House found an equaliser when a free kick into the box caused confusion in the home defence allowing the striker an easy finish. With the game evenly poised at half time, Chester Cricket Club came out the better team in the second half and Darren Redfearn supplied the pass for Andrew Robinson to put the Cricketers 3-2 up.  Andrew Robinson returned the favour soon after, putting Redfearn through on goal, the striker finishing to give the home team a 4-2 lead. The game was put beyond doubt when a free kick deflected into the path of Michael Redshaw who fired home to give Chester CC a 5-2 win. New Brancepeth wmc were 3-0 Home winners over Ferryhill Dynamo’s.

In the 4th round of the league cup  Division 4 team  Dubmire Wmc  went through comfortably against 3rd Division team  Bishop Middleham Cross Keys Fc The 1st half provided no goals even though Dubmire were the better team and had enough chances to take the lead .A strong 2nd half display from Dubmire ,Who controlled it  throughout and in the end ran out comfortable 3 nil winners .The 1st goal was a real goal poachers Goal from Maddison as he followed in a shot which the keeper spilled into his path and he expertly guided it into an empty net .The 2nd goal came a little later when a great cross from Jordison caused confusion in the Bishop box and Thompson latched onto the ball and drilled a shot passed the bishop goalkeeper., The 3rd goal came from another excellent cross from Jordison ,Who  pick out Price at the back post an he rifled it into the Bishop’s goal giving the goalkeeper no chance The whole Dubmire team performed well in the game but Maddison ,Thompson & Jordison all starred for Dubmire
 
 
PRESIDENTS 3RD RD
lGoals from  John Haydon 3,Jon Heslop 2,Michael Jones 4  and one each for Steve Philiphs and Dan Beardmore gave Framwellgate Moor Wmc a 11-0 win at Washington Lambton Village.
 
 
Bishop Auckland HEART FOUNDATION Cup
An under strength  Newton Aycliffe Wmc  travelled to Bishop Auckland Hospital Club, Aycliffe  moved comfortably into the next round with a 6 - 0  victory.  A superb hatrick from Campbell and goals from Wright, Bussomworth and Mason saw off the opposition. Langley Park wmc crashed to a 6-3 Defeat at Albert Hill Wmc. The Bird Inn were 4-3 winners at Bishop Auckland Cricket Club, Houghton Comrades had a Fine 3-2 home win over Tindale Crescent Wmc. Brandon Bay Horse progressed to the next Round winning 5-2 against Visitors Coundon Miners, Ferryhill Wmc lost 3-1 at Home to Staindrop Fc.Ferryhill Saints also moved into the next round with a Fine 3-2 home win over Newton Aycliffe Cobblers.

The next round of games is scheduled for 28th November 2010 which unfortunately co-insides with County Cup date and several of above may still be involved after the matches due to be played on 7th November.
